Great dive shop. They have a very high bar and make sure everyone diving remembers everything important.
All three of my dive masters were very experienced, knowledgeable, and friendly.
Equipment was always in good shape, with a good variety of sizes.

If you’re going diving on Koh Tao, go with Roctopus! We hadn’t dove in over 10 years and frankly forgot everything we had originally learned. They made sure we felt comfortable with the equipment and safety skills by doing a pool refresher course in the morning followed by 2 fun dives in the afternoon. Big shoutouts to Cory for being an amazing instructor and Rachael for all the admin work. You won’t go wrong with any of the staff though - they’re all great!

Did my open water and advance course with Roctopus and I cannot recommend them enough. Both of my instructors, Frankie and Keli, were amazing. Super chill and fun, they really put you at ease and prepared for the dives.
So among the immense amount of diving places in Koh Tao, you should definitely pick this one.

I did my open water certification here and could not have been happier. Frankie was my instructor and he was awesome, I would highly recommend him to anyone learning how to dive! Very professional and focused on making you a “strong” diver not just getting you your certification.

They price matched for the course (which was cheaper than you’ll find anywhere) and my instructor Steve taught with a great combination of thoroughness and brevity. Friendly and enthusiastic staff that ensure new divers understand how to have fun diving safely. Beth was an awesome instructor and the raid program allows for smaller class sizes which really helped each student to have a chance to practice skills and ask questions. We had a fantastic experience today with the Roctopus team, celebrating the birthday of our 11-year old with two try dives and refreshing our own rusty skills. We were very well taken care of by Steve, the equipment was in excellent condition and the diving spots even allowed us to snorkel with the youngest, so he also had a great time. Our next time diving in Koh Tao will definitely be with Roctopus again!

If you're looking for a highly knowledgeable, fun, very professional dive group on Koh Tao, then go to Roctopus. We did a refresher course and 4 fun dives with Jay's team and had the best time. Ainsley was our guide and was very informed on the diversity of fish and made sure to point out different species throughout our dive as well as checking to make sure we were doing okay! It was so nice to get personalized dive instruction as we had 1 guide to the two of us diving. Will definitely be going back next time we're in Koh Tao!

Roctopus rocked! Fiona was a great diving instructor and I always felt like I could trust her which is important if you're planning to learn to dive here. It was great to start off in the pool for a day on the open water course as it allowed us to become familiar with the equipment in a safe space! Overall, if you're happy to pay a modest premium compared to other diving schools in Koh Tao, you will be rewarded with a quality course that builds up your confidence for diving!

Such an amazing experience doing our Open Water 20 certification! Small class sizes were great & made us feel confident we would learn everything properly. Steve was an incredible instructor who took time to explain everything & could tell right from the start how passionate he was about diving! The team is super welcoming not only with diving but gave us incredible food & sight seeing tips to make our time in Koh Tao the favourite part of time on Thailand so far. Big thanks to Steve & Jay!

The best diving school on Koh Tao! I wasn’t sure if I’d like diving, but I signed up for the open water 20 course anyways, and I’m so glad I went for it. Jay was like my friend from the beginning, making me feel extremely welcome. Jamie was an amazing instructor for my first 5 dives and made me feel really confident on the basics. He was so patient and built up my confidence. I loved the Roctopus team so much that I ended up staying on Koh Tao longer so that I would complete the Explorer 30. Matt was my instructor this time and has so much experience. We had an amazing 5 dives including a night dive (whoa!) and a shipwreck dive. If I had more time I would do it all over again. Don’t hesitate, just book.

Completed my open water 20 course here and had a great time. All the staff are very friendly and patient and all of the diving kit is in good condition. Now trying to plan to come back and do advanced certifications!

Super diving school! We did our OpenWater20 in a small group (3 people) and then 2 more fun dives, we had a lot of fun. Many animals were shown, the dive spots well explained. The underwater world of Koh Tao is simply breathtaking. If you are on Koh Tao and want to go diving, you are in good hands here! I would have also liked to do my Advanced, but unfortunately I did not have enough time. But definitely next time!
