Roctopus Dive

I read all the great reviews online and decided to sign up for my open water. It was amazing and I love it so much I immediately stayed and did my advanced 30m. I cannot say enough about instructor Mati, he is so knowledgeable and encouraging, he truly made the experience what it was! This is a great place to learn to dive

One of (if not the best) of my Thailand trip!

Here I completed an Open Water Course 20.
Will 11931, I enjoyed every minute with you, you were the best diving instructor I could imagine. We were a small group of four with Will, who was always there for us before and after. And yes, that's exactly how it was. He is not only a fantastic diving instructor, no, he is a wonderful person at the same time.

I can only recommend this place to friends, family and acquaintances. In my hostel I actively talk to people about it, without commission, just to wish you the same great experience!

I don’t post too many reviews. But man. I just have to.

This was my first diving experience and it exceeded all my expectations.

Very professional diving school. The instructor found the perfect balance between making the team feel comfortable and confident while maintaining a very high, but fair, expectations of the diving skills.

There were a lot more techniques that I did not expect when applying for my license. However, all of the techniques were explained in a very intuitive manner.

The school also aims to really push the skills of their student by using a different method than most diving schools which has a higher diving standard which was a very welcome bonus.

Additionally, even though the diving conditions were not optimal at the time we went (November), there was still much to explore. There was even a (paid) option to shoot a personal and professional video which was presented at a chill night. Huuuge bonus in my opinion.

I can’t think of any point of criticism. But if I had to really squeeze out of point for improvement it would have been nice to get some physical license after you complete it. Oh and please consider a good photo if you want to look good and professional on you license.

All in all, an exceptional school. Lots of adventures, and a memorable experience.

Completed my Open Water 20 here and it was an incredible experience! My instructor was Ciara and she was a star. Would recommend to anyone!

Can’t swim, scared of heights, impulse booked this the morning of, had the best time!

I did the try dive with instructor Will, he was amazing throughout, nobody else signed up for that try dive so it was a one on one diving experience but still got to meet the others doing their certified course on the boat.

Will was super clear and patient, put me fully at ease and made super we had a great time!

Really recommend, all the staff were amazing and got to go for drinks and see the video from the morning afterwards!

Coming to Roctopus was the best decision I could make for Open Water 20 course on Koh Tao. Matias as an intructor was amazing with lots of knowledge, great teaching methods, personality and true love for diving. I felt safe at all times and feel ready after the course for next dives. Shout out to the whole friendly team of Roctopus! I hope to see you again for other courses!

Great experience on tryout dive, our instructor named Chelsey was so fun and patient, really recommend it

Just completed my Open Water 20 course with Roctopus and cannot recommend them enough! Our instructor Frankie was incredible, he was hot on safety and but still made the course super fun and enjoyable. Everyone who worked there was so passionate about diving that it's hard not to get hooked yourself! There's also the extra for photos or a video to be made of the last two dives which are super good quality and the videographer Amy is so talented and lovely!
I will be back!

Took the refresher dive with the Roctopus team and was back the next day for more fun dives! The team, the kit, and the dive sites are all excellent

Wow what an experience! I completed my Open Water 20 with Roctopus (which I was recommended by a friend as their training is so thorough) and was the best thing ever, Connor was our instructor and he was a dream, made us feel comfortable and confident from the get go and could answer any and every question we had! I couldn’t get enough so went on to do my Advanced 30 and this was even better. The night dive! Highly reccomend, couldn’t thank Connor enough, the best scuba instructor you could ask for

Fantastic Dive School. Nick did a great job of explaining the course after we walked into the shop. Frankie gave a great introduction for us too. Our diving coach David was 11/10. Great guy. Made everything super clear and easy, whilst having a good laugh with us too. Felt like we’d known him for ages after the 3 days. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Last year I said to Max that I want to start with diving. Now we finally did it. Our friend recommended Roctopus and I can not be happier that we chose you. Our instructor Ant was super professional, fun, explained everything in detail and the most important thing I felt very safe in his environment. I fell in love with diving and enjoyed every dive. My highlight was definitely to see the whaleshark Thanks again Roctopus and big shout out to Ant 10/10 Highly recommended

The open water 20 course was so much fun, could not recommend more

Axel and Oceane were the best instructors… make sure you have a couple extra days planned in Koh Tao at the end because you’ll want to get the advanced 30 right after

After seeing so many dive schools on the Island, I am so glad I chose Roctopus to do my try dive with. Sam and Jay we’re amazing by making sure I was 100% confident and comfortable throughout the whole day. Absolutely gutted I couldn’t stay longer and get my open water with these guys so I guess I’ll have to settle doing it back home. High recommend 10/10

Brilliant introduction to the world of scuba diving, really engaging instructors, extremely safe and comforting, was a complete novice and now slightly less of a novice, but a novice with an open water license, and a novice who loves scuba diving.

I am 100% happy with the experience with Roctopus. I did Open Water 20 and Advanced 30. Our instructor Matias welcomed us with a big smile and made sure that we are comfortable with the skills. Whenever needed, we could come to him to get rid of worries. I also met really nice people in my course as well as from other courses. Everyone at the shop was friendly and laid back. Highly recommended for solo travelers.

I reccomend Roctopus if you want to dive in Koh Tao.
Very good and friendly instructors. I did some fun dives with Franck, Pri and Shawn and it was amazing.
I also took the advance course with Keli and was a highlight of my trip. Night dive was incredible.

We finished the open water course at Roctopus Dive and had the best time! Great people, professional equipment and a lot of fun! Especially our instructor Conor was great and we really enjoyed having our first diving experience with him! We can definitely recommend this diving school to others. We couldn’t ask for a better experience. This is the dive center you will like to have your dive course! We had our open water 20 and advance 30 with Keli. It was just amazing! Roctopus is a reliable dive center, their equipment is well maintained, the instructors are very knowledgeable, responsible and friendly! The RAID course is very well structured, it helps you to get comfortable in the under water environment. We really enjoyed the advance 30 wreck dive.

I did my RAID Open Water as well as my Advanced Course with Roctopus and had a great experience! I can only recommend them when you are on Koh Tao!

For the Open Water I had Conor as instructor and he was amazing. He was very patient and made sure everybody understood everything. At all times, he made sure everybody felt comfortable and enjoyed the course. I had a blast and completely fell in love with diving.

The Advanced Course I did with Kely, another amazing instructor from Roctopus. She was very calm, explained everything in detail while making sure
everybody was having a great time.

But not to forget all the other staff at the shop itself. Everybody was very friendly, always approachable and open to answer all my questions.
Overall, I felt well taken care of at all times and would dive again with them any time.
