Don Sak Sakon Port / Raja Ferry Public Company Limited

My favourite way to reach Samui or Phangan. Slower but safer and cheaper.
It takes 1 hour from SuratThani airport to the pier
The ferry is quite confortable and it runs directly from DonSak to Phangan Thongsala port. It takes 2 hours and 30 minutes for the whole trip.

บางครั้งก้น่าจะเหน็นใจรถเทเลอร์บ้างไม่ใช่ว่ารถเยอะแล้วให้แต่รถเล็กลงเรือรถใหญ่ก้มาก่อนนะน่าจะปล่อยตามคิวไม่ใชลัดคิวทุกคนก้มีความจำเป็นที่จะต้องข้ามกันทั้งนั้นแหละ#ฝากผู้บริหาญด้วยค่าา

พนักงานขายตั๋วที่ท่าเรือบริการไม่ค่อยดี ถามอะไรก็ไม่ค่อยบอก มีรถบริการให้นั่งไปขึ้นเรือเฟอร์รี่ฟรีแต่ต้องรอนานมากและคนขับรถมาไม่ตรงเวลา ระยะทางไปขึ้นเรือเฟอร์รี่ห่างจากจุดซื้อตั๋วและที่จอดรถค้างคืนไว้ ประมาณ 2 กิโลเมตร

ออกมาจากน้ำตกพรหมโลกแวะเติมน้ำมัน นั้งคิดว่าจะไปไหนดี แรกว่าจะไปเขาสก ขึ่มอเตอร์ไซค์มาเจอป้ายไปท่าเรือกะแวะเข้าตามประสาผู้เดินทาง อ้าวไปสมุยหรอก เลยซื้อตั๋ว 180 บ. ทั้งคนทั้งรถ กะเดินถ่ายรูปที่ท่าเรือ บนเรือ พอเรือออกกะได้วิวสวยไปอีกละ หาได้ทุกมุน เห็นว่าใช้เวลา สอง ชม. กว่าไม่รู้เหมือยกัน มีนักท่องเที่ยวทั้งคนไทยและชาวต่างชาติมากพอสมควร ไม่รู้ว่าจะเหมือนภูเก็ตหรือเปล่า การบริการเหมือนกันหมดที่ท่าเรือ เอารถเข้าไลน์จอดรอ ลงเรือแล้วก็มานั้งรีวิว อากาศสดชื่นครับ คืนนี้นอนเกาะสมุย พรุ่งพรุ่งนี้คิดว่า คิดนะครับว่าจะไปนอนเกาะพะงันต่อรอดู อีกทีครับ

I was driving to samui. My experience with the ferry is okay. Not bad. Maybe because I come during off peak time.
The boarding was on time and arrival too, plus minus about 15 minutes.

The ferry is old, or maybe its locally made. The return leg ferry was a Japanese built. Very nice, stable and comfortable.

The facilities and the pier was also good.

Sometimes if you're lucky, if you arrive 1 hour earlier for your boarding, you may get boarded with the current boarding if there's enough space.

New second hand boat fleet. Office and online services working good. Boat have shop where no have nothing for western people, so don't go in boat with hungry, shops in pier sell take away food.

The people there were very helpful and i found them friendly besides then language barrier to those that do not understand English

20​ พค. จองตั๋วรถพร้อมผู้โดยสารกลับจากพะงันเที่ยว9.00น. ถึงฝั่งดอนสัก11.30 น. เพื่อจะได้กลับถึง​ กทม. ก่อนเที่ยงคืนและไม่เสียค่ารถตู้เพิ่มอีกวัน​ รถขึ้นเรือแล้วท้ายสุดโดนเฉดหัวลงจากเรือให้ไปต่อลำหลัง​ ผู้โดยสาร10คนไปรอท่าเรือดอนสักก่อน​ ในอาคารโดยสารร้อนก้อร้อน​ เรือมาถึงดอนสัก12.30น. (กำหนดการคือ11.30น.) ​ รถตู้ได้ขึ้นเรือตามมาแต่ขอโทษครับต้องแวะเปลี่ยนเรือที่สมุยจะมาถึงชาติไหนก้อไม่รู้​ ต้องเสียค่ารถตู้เพิ่มอีกวัน​ เที่ยวก้อไม่ได้เที่ยวต้องมานั่งเหงื่อแตกในอาคาร​ มันใช่หรือครับ​ เสียค่ารถตู้เพิ่มเพื่อมานั่งเสียเหงื่อในอาคารเนี้ยนะ

เรือค่อยข้างเก่า. ที่นั่งพักผู้โดยสาร. แบบห้องแอร์แต่แอร์ไม่ค่อยเย็น. แต่ในอนาคตในไม่ช้าคงต้องปรับปรุงและพัฒนาตามลำดับเพราะคู่แข่งได้เปลี่ยนเรือใหม่หลายลำ. แต่การรอคิวลงเรือถื่อว่าไม่รอนานไปถึงท่าเรือ11.20. น. ได้คิว. 13.00น. แต่พอเวลา12.30น. มีที่ว่างเราอาจจะได้ลง

ระบบการใช้บริการยุ่งยาก ถ้าไม่เคยไปต้องตกเรือ ไม่มีการให้ให้ข้อมูลที่ชัดเจน ต้องใช้ความเคยชิน ไม่เหมาะกับนักท่องเที่ยวหน้าใหม่ ไม่แนะนำช่วงเทศกาล ผมตกเรือมาแล้ว

Terrible experience, i took the bus from Surat Thani to the Pier, the driver was a horrible person, he screamed on the passenger, he was racist and hate tourist. I took the bus the 7th of April at 1 pm at the airport. AVOID THIS RAJA FERRY COMPANY!

Best way to travel to Samui is to fly there. This ferry service is so problematic, slow, and unreliable. Best avoid, disregarding the circumstances.

ท่าเรือดอนสัก เป็นท่าเรือที่ข้ามมายังเกาะสมุย ตั้งอยู่ที่อำเภอดอนสักจังหวัดสุราษฎร์ธานีห่างจากตัวจังหวัดไปประมาณ 100 กว่ากิโลเมตร ที่นี่มีเรือเฟอร์รี่ขนาดใหญ่บรรทุกคนและรถ ข้ามไปยังเกาะสมุย ผู้โดยสารที่จะข้ามเรือต้องลงมาจากรถ เพื่อเดินขึ้นไปบนเรือ ส่วนตัวรถนั้นคนขับเท่านั้นทีครับขึ้นไป ที่ท่าเรือมีบริการร้านอาหารและ Supermarket ขนาดเล็ก

จากประสบการณ์ที่ใช้บริการ หลายครั้ง สำหรับครั้งล่าสุด พนักงาน 2 ท่านนี้ และ พนักงานผู้หญิงที่ออฟฟิศ ฝั่งดอนสักบริการดีมาก แต่พนักงาน ฝั่งเกาะพะงันในส่วนของ Office ยังเหมือนเดิม

They unexpectedly refunded completely two ferry tickets that, by our mistake, we had bought twice.

Good ferry option to get to Phangan and Samui. Ferries are almost always on time, pick-up and drop-off van always worked nice. Ferries seem to be a bit dirtier (toilets) than the other ferry companies. The buildings at Lipa Noi pier on Samui are great and new! The Donsak facilities are ok-ish. Overall the cheapest ferry price and everything can be easily booked and paid online.

เป็นระบบระเบียบตรงเวลาแต่ควรพัฒนาเรื่องการรอแถวที่ล้นออกมานอกรั้วบริษัท ควรให้พนักงานคอยหมั่นรายงานรถที่จอดรอคิวเพื่อตัดสินใจว่าจะเข้าคิวรอดีหรือไม่ี

This is the port to get to koh phangan and koh samui from Don sak.
There is a small shop and cafe there but not much so i would advise to buy food and snacks before going to the pier.
Also you can buy tickets from here too.
This pier does have boats which vehicles can go on both cars and bikes.

If you're waiting for a ferry don't forget too walk up hill to the Buddha - silent and nice sea view. Also try restaurant: fresh Thai food for affordable prices.
