Did my diving here with Chelsea as my instructor. Cannot recommend it enough! Very hands on learning with you diving in the ocean from day 1 so gets you familiar with it quickly. Also had brilliant lads, Ollie and Guy, working towards their dive master on the boat who were super helpful

Stayed at the Hostel and did the Open Water Diving course which was so good! Our instructor was Kewin the absolute Legend! Super knowledgeable, super skillful, very calm and precise in his coaching, very accommodating to each of us students on the course and to top if off he's one of the soundest blokes, couldn't have gone any better. No hurry no worry!

Good location, friendly staff. Comfortable beds. The cleaning staff comes in very loudly, regardless of whether anyone is still in bed.

Taco Shack is a really nice place. The location is great, the staff is helpful and friendly. I recommend.

Had an amazing time doing my open water with taco divers! Our instructor hector was the best, he made sure we felt safe at all times and we had lots of fun.if you want to go diving, this is definitely the place to go in koh tao!

During my stay I did the Open Water Diving course. Our Dive instructor Hector was literally amazing. Our group had so much fun during these 3 days. We learned so many things and saw a lot of marine life. The free stay (+2x free food) and a free T-Shirt are also a bonus)

Did the 3 day open water scuba course with Dominik and it was an awesome experience. Getting to start right in the ocean instead of a pool was a nice surprise and Dominik was a great instructor that made things fun and safe!

What an amazing hostel! Best placing to do your diving in Ko Tao. Had Dawid as my open water instructor he made the group of us feel very comfortable and he was such an amazing and fun instructor. I can promise you there is no where better to do your diving. Unlike other hostels all diving is done in the ocean so you get a bonus 2 dives and free accommodation! The hostel itself is very chill and social. After completing my open water I extended my stay and did my advanced with Dan he was also an incredible and funny instructor. The manager of the hostel Yie was super accommodating and very kind. Por was also incredible answering any questions you have about the diving as well as her manager! They have a dog named taco who is super friendly as well as a super cute puppy named sunny! The food tacos/burritos are also 10/10. This is defiantly the best place to stay in Thailand

A brilliant diving school which we loved it but the hostel itself was mediocre. When we arrived there was an issue with our room booking so I wasn’t with my friends after requesting. Myself and many others in the hostel kept having to move rooms. There is no water refill station and none of the night activities actually happened. Staff is stand offish and blunt.

The hostel is very good for meeting new people. The workers are also in a very good mood, but do me a favor! Stay away from the Borrito. I contracted food poisoning. Save yourself the trouble.

Superb fantastic lovely people couldn’t recommend more, went out of the way to help me, go here they will look after you more than you could believe. Lots of love ash and Will xxx

Although only originally booking a couple nights stay at Taco Shack, I was there for two weeks and enjoyed every day. The staff are amazing, friendly, and know how to make good Mexican food! There is a pool table, darts board, table football etc which help people within the hostel to get to know each other. I also did my SSI diving course with David which was an amazing experience, I would highly recommend doing this whilst staying at the hostel.

It’s okay but for what you get a bit overpriced. It’s a party hostel so you will not get much sleep at night if your room is next to the common area, the bathroom and the room smelled bad and you have to pay to get a towel. There is also no soap or anything provided.
Staff was nice and I really liked the common area and the people.

Good place to meet many people, we stay until 23: 00 because it’s a hostel they need to close a bar, but was nice atmosphere and after we go all together to the beach to continue a party)

Great hostel if you like to meet other people to have some drinks with, play some games and do some trips with. The owner, mister Ji, is a real charm and will make sure that you have a great time. Rooms are cleaned every time some one leaves. After 10: 30/11 PM it’s starts to get quiet and everyone goes to bars on the beach, which is only a 10 minute walk.

The staff here were AMAZING.definitely a hostel to go to if you're into a party and good time. If not.stay away. Attracted a younger crowd for the most part but was a good mix off people. Dive school on site was handy and we'll organized. Rooms were clean and there was an awesome common area with hammocks and swings. I'd go back for sure!

Amazing food for an affordable price. We had beef and tofu tacos with nachos. Beef was really tasty and juicy which is something you'll have trouble finding in Koh Tao. A good vibe at night too if you fancy a drink.

Good place but somewhat overpriced. I tried the burrito and there was absolutely no flavor, the concept was good but not the outcome as there was no seasoning like traditional Mexican food.
The room was good the location isn't the best but not too far, so that's why I think overall is overpriced.
The 500 Baht deposit is ridiculous, no need for that much, so that made exchange more money for replacing the 500 on my last day.
Good atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and engaging.

Good atmosphere, chilled during the days and pretty quiet then a drinking culture in evening. I wouldn't recommend if you intend to do your diving course as it can get noisy. The rooms are basic but has what you need. The staff are all very nice

I would not recommend a party hostel unless you are an alcoholic teenager looking for one night stands. I mean, the place is cool and the rooms are clean, but Koh Tao has something else to offer if you still want to have fun and be social at your hostel, but seek a more mature option. PS: the girl at the counter is rude AF and tried to fool me into staying longer at the hostel because there was a storm going on and according to her ferries were not departing. Had I not checked that myself, I would have missed my ferry and my plane back home from BKK. Don't trust her!
