SALA Samui Choengmon Beach Resort

I had a great stay here. It is located in a quieter part of the island, which makes it feel more intimate and secluded. The layout of the hotel grounds is beautiful. The rooms are excellent. The breakfast buffet is outstanding and great value. All the staff were very helpful and pleasant. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and would consider another SALA location too.

Great location and great service. The different accommodations feature top amenities: gym, gardens, swimming pools, restaurant, bars… all connected to the beautiful Choemong beach. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and the hotel is oriented to detail: from the seamless check in experience, in room amenities, and an app that actually works to discover the whole experience. The breakfast was superb, and the pool/beach facilities were never crowded. We visited as a couple, but families were having a great time with kid friendly facilities.

This was a wonderful massage! The therapist was very experienced and professional, and very responsive to my requests. This was a truly excellent massage experience

An incredible resort and I was impressed from the moment we arrived until we left. The service levels were incredible, the food was outstanding and the hotel was beautiful. One of the best experiences in our travels.

We loved our stay! The resort is beautiful. The staff very friendly. Breakfast was briljant. Lovely location. Great pool. And the private pool was great. We realy enjoyed our stay.

Everything went very well! We felt valued and all our queries were addressed quickly.
Mosquitoes were a bit frustrating, but I'm sure Sala is doing everything possible to get rid of them. Internet was a bit sketchy sometimes.

Staff was fantastic, very friendly, we chatted every day, and rushed to breakfast every morning to meet them again and have a conversation. Taxis and transfers are available at request. Food was wonderful. Facilities were great. Beach and pool area were very convenient. We would recommend staying here.

The overall experience was simply amazing. All the staff were extremely helpul and polite and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfasts were outstanding. We enjoyed the cooking lesson and the chef that gave the lesson was very helpful and patient. The Thai evening was fabulous, we enjoyed sampling different Thai dishes we hadn't had before and the traditional Thai dancing was lovely. The beach/bar staff were all great and worked hard to make our stay as comfortable as possible. All the staff around the hotel give a Thai greeting and a smile every time they see you which is a lovely touch. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Koh Samui and we ourselves hope to come back some day. Thank you for providing us with a wonderful holiday.

We got the 2 bedroom Villa with a private pool,
The bedrooms were spacious and the pool was amazing, great beach, perfect for families with children

Gorgeous, charming, relax. I had risotto at restaurant near by the pool, very comfortable place. Staff friendly.

This is the best hotel in Koh Samui! If you are still hesitating weather book here or not I would say just book it!

I used to live in Hawaii for years so it’s very hard for me to find a nice, cozy beach in other island.

And didn’t expect too much when coming to Koh Samui, I heard that the beach can be very messy because of covid…etc.

However, the whole shore of this beach is just amazing and perfect! It’s also very clean with white soft sand.

The pool at the hotel is a plus! It’s very nice to swim. Also the staffs went above and beyond.

This is definitely a 5 star hotel, I will come back again and again!

I really can’t speak highly enough of the service and experience at this resort.

First of all, the accommodation was excellent. We stayed in a one bedroom duplex pool villa suite which was a perfect size for a family of four (the room downstairs functions perfectly as a bedroom for the children - ours aged 9 and 14). The beds were large and comfy and touches like being able to choose your own pillow type (and body lotion and soap) on arrival do genuinely make a difference.

The pool in the villa is a good enough size to splash around in and there is loads of space to lounge in in the villa garden. Room service is prompt and from an extensive menu and easy to order via the app (the hotel are also extremely responsive via the app).

The pool areas, beach bars and beach are very pleasant places to while away the day. Buy one-get-one-free happy hour (s) (3 hours a day which you can actually extend if you are ordering an odd number of drinks) mean it’s relatively inexpensive, the beach boys are super attentive and helpful with loungers and generally manage the space really well. The separate adult and family pools really help you choose what sort of dip you want.

The restaurant staff are absolutely lovely, and they remembered us and what sorts of things we liked to order at breakfast, which made the service feel really personal, even though I’m sure that they made everyone feel that way! In particular, Oom manages the team brilliantly and is a delight.

The food quality is high although, you’re in Koh Samui so my advice is to get out round the island to eat!

What really set the resort apart for me though was the service. It’s all round of a high standard and in two weeks we never experienced anything other than excellent service.

But in particular the way they responded to an accident that I had in the sea (entirely my own fault - I kicked a rock (the sea is a little rocky in places - be careful!) and needed my toe stitched up) was fantastic:

- the beach boys delivered initial first aid in a skilled, clean and calm way
- a more senior member of staff quickly came down to the beach to assess the situation and quickly called a car to take me to hospital
- we were then accompanied to the hospital by a member of staff which meant we didn’t have to worry about going into a foreign hospital and explaining the situation etc
- she also stayed there waiting for us with the driver and took us back to the hotel
- I then had to go back to the hospital every day for a week for the wound to be cleaned and then the stitches removed, and each time a hotel driver took me there (about a 25 minute drive) waited at the hospital for me and took me back
- (btw I would also give a very good review to Bangkok Hospital (in Samui)
- Staff across the resort often asked me how my toe was getting on

I’ve stayed in 5-star resorts and hotels in the UK and Europe and I really can’t imagine that the response to that situation would have been the same in any of them.

The staff are all a credit to themselves and the resort - thank you for helping to make our holiday so special

One of the best hotels in koh samui. This was my third time there and it seems that the hotel keeps it's high standarts.
I would reccomnded the pool villa room, the pool is amazing.

The spa is great as well, same for the breakfast, the hotel pools abd the nice beach in front of the hotel.

Wonderful resort.with the most amazing breakfast I have ever had.they have activities planned for every evening like watching a movie on the beach.traditional shows.fire show.ahh they added more to wonderful experience.

Great place for honeymoon or if you don't wanna leave the resort, friendly and helpful staff, beautiful view and OK location, bu lt the restaurants of the establishment are not good at all, tried them both twice, didn't get the taste of any food, some of the food was undercooked some of them were over cooked didn't like the restaurants but everything else was great. Would recommend you to eat outside everyday.

Hotel is already a bit old, but excellent place to stay if you're looking for something quiet and away from the buzz in the main beaches. Hotel staff were always very attentive, and the villa room with swimming pool was amazing. Beautiful place to stay.

Just stunning resort with two pools (one is like a zen garden, the other more upscale and fancy). Private villas have secluded private pools and outdoor bathroom so you can see the stars whilst you shower. Staff are beyond friendly.
