Hotel well located, meals in the restaurant are good.
The welcome is as always perfect in Thailand.
The room is unfortunately starting to date, the bathroom could do with a facelift.

I did the Instructor Development Course with Sairee Cottage Diving and their amazing instructors, who are really THE experts. They made sure we were more than prepared for the exams, and took extra time and attention to address any questions, concerns, or issues we had before, during and after. They put so much care into their teaching and made it clear that they wanted us to succeed, not only on the exams but in the dive industry. They knew all the tips and tricks to get us ready. I knew I could turn to them for any support I needed, and can continue to do so today even after completing the course. Thanks to the team for such a great experience!

We stayed at Sairee Cottage whilst completing our diving course, and cannot recommend this place enough! We loved how close it was to everything, how quite and well kept the grounds were

Ideally located, magnificent gardens, beautiful little beach, 1 excellent restaurant with 1 really very very friendly staff, on the other hand the rooms which are nevertheless very beautiful from the outside really need a refresh.a TV from the 80s (no big deal on vacation) and a bathroom from the same years.it's the only downside to this little stay!

Diving course: I really recommend to get your PADI Diving Course in Sairee Cottage Diving. It was incredible and special experience with the best instructors Hannah and Josip. It was so much fun yet meaningful thanks to them. Hannah was such a patient lector with great positive attitude and both of them were ready to explain everything (even many times), make the experience as easy and exciting as possible and help us dealing with any issue or stress. This experience gave me a lot.

Accommodation: These cozy bungalows are and have everything you need when staying on Koh Tao. Private bathroom, terrace and surrounding trees, plants and animals. It is on a great location, very close to the beach and to the walking street. The staff is very nice, always smiling and helpful. I stayed there last year, this year I came back to the same accommodation and don't regret.

Best dive school in all of Thailand, if not the world. The only dive school I've been to that doesn't have all run down, damaged equipment. Great staff and great location. Been going back for over 15 years now. Been many other places but this place is top drawer

I completed my IDC with Sairee Cottage in August 2023. First and foremost, I would like to thank Marcel and Julian. They took all the time in the world to prepare us perfectly for the exam. And they succeeded in doing so. There were also a few late-night study sessions before the exam, and even then, they were always there for us. The best part was that Marcel and Julian took away our fear of the exam because they prepared us so well that we were well-equipped for the exam. Many thanks, you are by far the best course directors one could imagine. I'm so glad I chose Sairee Cottage. Besides the course, I became a part of the family and got to know many new friends. You are immediately welcomed with open arms. Did I also have fun during the two demanding weeks? Absolutely. Stress is part of the process if you want to become an instructor, but the fun must not be missing either. Afterward, once we all passed and became instructors, I started with my MSDT courses. This went smoothly and quickly. What I really liked is the workshop at the end of the course. Marcel teaches you very well how to apply in the best way and what to pay attention to. This allowed me to create a great application and get a job. Thanks again, Marcel and Julian. Thank you for helping me become a dive professional and preparing me well for the future. I can only recommend everyone to go to Sairee Cottage, whether you're diving for the first time or aiming to become a pro.

We had an exciting and really unpleasant case there that left a very bad taste.
On the last day we asked for the room to be cleaned. At 14: 30 the room was still not cleaned and we left for lunch. When we got back I saw that the door was open and the cleaning equipment was outside and I wanted to go put ice that I bought in the freezer. When I entered I found 4 cleaning workers in the room giggling, 3 sitting on the bed and one standing and doing something, and as soon as they saw me they immediately got up each to a different place and one or two immediately entered the bathroom.
At first I thought they were just taking a moment to giggle but then I looked and saw my polaroid camera that was in the suitcase on the bed! The camera is in a case that can be disassembled and it was disassembled and the pictures we took the day before were outside and there was another picture that they took probably right at the moment I came and they didn't like it. As soon as I looked they tried to hide the camera, they literally put a pillow over the camera and tried to hide it!
I was really shocked. I took the camera from them and my partner and I went down to the reception to report it. We were directed to the manager, we told her what happened, she was surprised and went up to talk to them.
When she came back she said she talked to them and they said they were just holding the camera because it was on the bed and they just wanted to move it. We explained to her that it was a lie because the camera was inside the suitcase and also that the case was disassembled. Which I didn't leave like that. She said that "she is in the middle" and has nothing more to do, zero taking responsibility and feeling that she does not understand the seriousness of the matter or that she does not care.
She also told us that if we have something important then we should put it in the safe. Of course, we put passports and money in the safe, but we didn't think for a moment that they would use the Polaroid camera that was inside the suitcase.

The price of the hotel is cheap, we took the Pool View Standard-Up Stair, note that it is a small and cramped room of 18 meters (we didn't notice). The air conditioner worked but was very noisy and we had to sleep with earplugs.
The shower and toilet are next to each other and everything gets wet when you shower.
The room is cleaned once every two days and only if requested. The cleaning is very average and it feels like they are tidying up the appearance more than cleaning.
The good things: the location of the hotel is excellent, it is near the beach and the beach is stunning. It has 2 pools that are really great. Pick up from the ferry and take to the ferry free of charge.
If you book through Aguda, keep in mind that if you don't "pay now" the price in the end will probably be higher than what was shown (not only in this hotel but in everything through Aguda).

I had a truly enchanting experience at Sairee Cottage Dive Center during my Dive Instructor course! The instructors displayed exceptional competence and friendliness. They readily went the extra mile for students, offering additional lessons and exam preparations even after regular class hours. What made the course even more remarkable were the extraordinary events organized by the dive center, including a Thai New Year celebration and a captivating long-tail boat tour around the island. Highly recommended!

Best address to go scuba diving on Koh tao. The entire crew is extremely friendly, you feel in good hands and usually stay longer than planned ;)

Sairee Cottage Resort is a fantastic place for everyone. It's location is pretty central the any needs one might have around the island. You definitely get the sense that you're at a tropical getaway. They have a variety of rooms for all budgets. The restaurant is great and the food is tasty (highly recommend the bbq chicken kebabs). It's location on the beach makes for a great place to watch the sunset. And if you want the switch it up a bit and try different cuisine, there are plenty of areas along the path that follows the beach. If there was ANY complaint at all, it would be that there are quite a few mosquitoes in the area, but bug spray/deterrent solves that problem easily.

One thing I wouldn't forgive myself for not mentioning is the resort staff. I have no problems including them as a highlight of my stay. They were so kind and accommodating. They are very resourceful and intuitive and can help you book tours, transportation, etc etc. Any question you have, and they will answer. If they don't know the answer, they'll find out for you. I can't say enough about the staff and how nice they were. If I ever go back to Koh Tao, this is where I would stay because you can feel the genuine kindness from the people. Did my instructor development course with Marcel and Julian and honestly couldn’t have wished for a better experience! The amount of effort and attention to detail was amazing! Not only did they prepare us for the exam they prepared us to be a super star instructor and going to extra mile just to make sure that everyone will have a great start to their diving career! 10/10 recommend.

Great stay nice rooms. The staff is very friendly. Clean resort great bang for your money. Never took the diving classes. Food was ok for the price.

My husband and I did our OW certification with Airies and Emmy and then liked them so much that we continued on to do our AOW right after! The teaching was very detail-oriented, and they took time to make sure we truly mastered each skill before moving on. I felt safe and well-prepared at all times and am certain that we got the best dive training possible!

Sairee Cottage Diving as a whole also set our diving standards very high! A large and clean boat, well-maintained equipment, and really nice staff. The diving itself was also incredible! Each day, we went to where conditions were best, and, as a result, had great visibility on each dive and saw such amazing marine life! I would 100% return here to dive or train again if/when we return to Ko Tao!

Fantastic diving centre! All the staff are very experienced and professional but are equally friendly and fun.
Hannah was our instructor for our Advanced Open Water and she was brilliant. Clear communication above and below water. We felt 100% safe at all times and had great fun too!

Equipment and boats were also very good quality. You can see they take care of everything well here.

We also stayed on site at a discounted rate which was good - but being your earplugs as there is a noisy dog which barks a lot through the night! As with the diving centre the staff for the accommodation were also very friendly and extremely helpful. We did love our stay here.

Great stay at Sairee Cottage. Very good diving school where I did my Open Water Diver course. Despite the rainy / windy weather, the 2 instructors and the dive master (all three for only 5 students) made the course really enjoyable. Thank you to Isabelle, Ben and Chloe.
The beach bungalow (purple category) in which we stayed was very good (and rather affordable when combined with the diving). You may hear some distant music but this did not disturb our sleeping one bit.
