Master Divers

I have just finished my open water diving course with Master Divers and would recommend highly. I learnt with Josh who was very thorough and made me always feel safe but we still had a great time and saw some incredible underwater scenes!

Excellent dive shop with great store and beachside equipment cleaning, storage, and boat. English speaking staff. Steven my divemaster from the UK was amazing at finding tiny fish and a real entertainer! I will dive with Master Divers for two weeks!

We got certified for Open Water Divers here and couldn't ask for a better place to do it.
They go beyond only giving access to the elearning (like other places do) and the classes in person make things way easier to understand.
The equipment they have is first quality and it's one on the few places that they also give you a computer; crucial for any dive, no matter if you're learning.
It was such an enriching experience being surrounded by other professional divers.
The staff is super profesional. Definitely recommend it for getting PADI certified but also for any fun dive.

Excellent dive centre. I highly recommend Steven Develter as Dive "Master" very personable chap and has an uncanny ability to navigate sub-sea avoiding tedious surface finning to get back to boat. There s a wreck well worth diving, it s a former naval vessel called HTMS Suphainn, - visibility contingent though. I went diving in November, rainy season, so visibility may on occasion be impaired. WhiteRock is good too.

Very professional and friendly staff! Very honest! They give good information about the diving site here in koh tao. I was diving at shark bay and had a good dive out there.

Had an amazing experience with their Open Water diver course! Kurtis was an excellent teacher and made me feel relaxed and comfortable underwater.

Honestly one of the most incredible things I've ever done. Katie our instructor was friendly patient and an all round legend! Made the whole process incredibly simple and easy to understand. Equipment was pristine and the dive itself was amazing. I would recommend going for the two dives as some of the first one is naturally spent learning and finding your pace while the second is more exploring! Highly highly recommend!

Diving in Koh Tao was one of the highlights of our trip and Master Divers made it such an amazing experience.

Our PADI Open Water Course was four people plus our instructor — a really nice group size that allowed for a lot of individualized attention and learning. If you go, ask for Katie. She was super fun and really great at teaching you skills and giving you an explanation for why each were important. And she made it so enjoyable! The boat size was also great. We were never on a boat with more than three groups and it felt like a nice little community going out each time. Everyone at the shop is kind and helpful and you really get a lot of value for the course’s price (gear, theory explanation, water and snacks on the boat to name a few!). If you’re going to dive on Koh Tao, or learn to dive or do anything related to diving, go to Master Divers.

Really enjoyed doing Open Water course with Master Divers. Shelley was an excellent instructor and class size was very small. Equipment was great and the school was very professional and friendly, definitely taking safety seriously. Had a great time at the amazing dive spots with the very informative instructors. Ended up booking an extra fundive and it was just as great. Would highly recommend

Master Divers is a very lovely and professional diving school.
They care a lot about security of yourself and the environment. A big plus is the theoretical introduction even If you just do a tryout for one day.
You are going in very small groups and not on a boat with 30 other people which is just great because you really have time to learn and do what you get teached.

We were super happy with Kurtis as our diving teacher and definitely recommend him.

Also the whole communication with Elaine beforehand was easy.

My husband and I had a great experience with Master Divers - everyone we met was a total professional and really lovely too. Katie was unbelievably patient in showing me the ropes as a first time scuba diver. She made me feel completely at ease so I can’t thank her enough!

We definitely recommend this dive school if you want small groups, highly trained professionals and good vibes!

We can’t say much about the diving experience because the boat was fully booked, nevertheless the staff at the reception was very friendly.

Amazing place to dive, and learn how to become a quality professional. The people are so friendly and helpful.

Isabelle was the best instructor I could have asked for! I was really anxious to get my open water certification and she was so thorough and helpful that once I got in the water, I didn’t have any fears. One of the best dive centers in Koh Tao!

The people (Managers and dive masters/instructors) are very nice and forthcoming. They are all experienced divers, so they can always help you with every question and problem you may have.

The other really great thing about this dive center is the equipment. They have one of the best equipment you’ll rent in a dive center. Everything is very modern and well maintained.

They offer 2 dives in the morning and 2 dives in the afternoon and sometimes even one night dive in the evening.

So all in all strong recommendation for fun dives as well as doing courses!

We went diving with Master Divers and had a great experience! Jess was super nice and helpful when booking dive trips. Our guides Alex and Julian were great and planned the dives according to our wishes. After the dives Darren helped us clean our personal equipment and let us store it in their dry room over night so that we didn’t have to bring it to and from the hotel. He even fixed my leaking SPG while we were there! We actually ended up extending our stay at Koh Tao to do more diving with Mater Divers:) Highly recommended:)

We did our open water with master divers back in July 1999 and so I came back again for a refresher and some dives. They did not
Disappoint! From the friendly and helpfulness of Jess via email, making sure I have everything I need before diving, to the dive instructor, Alex, who was just brilliant and put me right at ease from the second we met! We saw some amazing fish in the water too, including a spotted eagle ray, who we swam with for at least 5 minutes. I will be back and recommend to everyone I know! Thank you Master Divers!

I cannot recommend Master Divers enough! I got my Open Water Certification through them and I only have good things to say. My instructor was an absolute delight to work with and had decades of diving experience, which you could tell from his teaching ability and knowledge. The diving locations were excellent and full of aquatic life, and all equipment was brand new and high quality. The value is excellent as well. 11/10 recommend!

I had the great pleasure of taking several fun dives with Master Divers in winter 2022. With only one night on Koh Tao, I was worried I wouldn’t have time to see what the island had to offer. Luckily for me, Elaine and her team worked to accommodate me so I was able to fit in 4 dives, including the UV night dive, on fairly short notice. I truly appreciated their flexibility to work around my (very unpredictable!) ferry schedule and dive preferences, and feel they went above and beyond to help me make the most of my time on Koh Tao.

Scheduling aside, the team was a delight to work with. The team did a great job matching my current skill level (Advanced Open Water) with my dive sites to deliver a truly custom experience. Elaine was quick to answer all my questions via email before I arrived, and went out of her way to help me navigate the island as a solo traveler. My dive instructor, Tim, was very knowledgeable about the Koh Tao ecosystems and made sure I didn’t miss any of the most important wildlife sightings as we dove.

Highlights of the daytime dives included several eel sightings and an encounter with the biggest sea turtle I’ve ever seen! The UV night dive was also spectacular–It’s surreal to the coral fluoresce under the UV torches, and to swim with the bioluminescent plankton around the island. I cannot recommend spending the extra money for this dive–it is a once in a lifetime experience I’ll never forget.

I highly recommend booking your Koh Tao dives with Master Divers–they will not disappoint you!

We had a fantastic time doing our open water at Master Divers! All of the equipment was in excellent condition and well looked after, the teaching schedule was ideal with more than enough time to get everything finished. Both Elaine and Tim our instructor were amazing, confidently answering all of the many questions I had and putting my mind at ease. Tim was really patient and explained everything thoroughly, was more than happy to repeat if necessary and made the whole experience enjoyable. I could not recommend Master Divers enough, so much so that I'm even considering going back for the advanced!
