Koh Tao Divers - KTD

KTD is a diving school which teaches in Finnish and English, perhaps other languages too depending on the availability of the instructors. I had an amazing time. I originally booked the advanced adventurer course but enjoyed it so much that I stayed for two extra days of fun dives after. Really good instructors - friendly, knowledgeable and informative. It is quite a small diving school so you get a community atmosphere and the advantage of learning in small groups only. Some other diving schools in Koh Tao gave the impression of being Open Water License factories, but this isn't one of them. They have courses for all diving levels and various specialisms. A great experience.

Had a great and educational time with our Teacher Jordi for a open Divers course. Whole establishment is serious and has great personalities.

I had the best experience at this place getting my open water certification. The instructors are incredibly professional, and by my final day I felt like I had known them all for far longer than three days. Emphasis is on actually getting in the water and learning practical skills. Even if you find a cheaper option somewhere else, come here!

KTD exceeded my expectations. The people there are real technical divers who know their stuff but are also nice and genuine.

I learned so much during my Advanced Wreck course with Naomi. She is super experienced and one of the coolest divers I ever met!
Unless the typical dives this can be a real task overload because of the many things you have to be careful of as well as the tasks you have to perform while going into the wreck. But I can highly recommend it to everyone who wants to go inside of a wreck and do it the right way or to everyone who wants a bit more of a challenge while diving.

I’ll definitely be coming back to KTD for more technical diving- they got me hooked:)

Did my open water and advanced adventurer at Koh Tao divers this june. My experience with the crew is that they are very professional with the course and dives.and a great gang to pop a cold beer with afterwards.

I did my advanced diving course with Jordi which was seamless, safe and fun. The whole dive centre was friendly and inclusive!

They have contacts with several photographers so if you want to get some pictures this is the place.

There is a small boat on the shore right next to the centre which takes you to the bigger boat, so you can assure walking is minimal.

Would happily come again to do any other fun dives or extra courses.

Did my owd course here and our instructor Antti was great. I was 15 and i did the course with a 13 and 10 year old. Everyone finished the course and believe it or not but the course was fun! They really made the experience fun and we are happy that we chose this center.

Great atmosphere and although the boat looked old, it was very nice and comfortable with the grass floor on the second floor. Dive guides were awesome, special thanks to Martin, loved the scottish accent:) Everything worked exactly like it should have.

Had an amazing experience diving with the KTD Team. Would definitely recommend these guys to anyone looking to dive at Koh Tao.

Best place to dive in Thailand. Dived with my two buddies. Nice boat, nice crew and nice office. Our best eight dives in Thailand. We really fell in love with KTD.

I had my first OWD with them and the feeling to dive with professional experienced divers gave me the confident to feel easy and to continue learn more. I very much appreciate Pasi and Tom to teaching me the way I learned more practical thing than what was in the book. They not just make sure you certify they make sure they teach you everything to be confident and good diver. Keep up like this and I hope I can come back soon to continue. Until than I recommend everyone to pay a visit and try or if you want to learn more after your first OWD certification talk to them and learn from them. See you guys after the dive at Maya

Amazing team, professional, funny and reliable instructors. We had Tomppa as our teacher for the Open Water course and I could not have hoped for a better teacher:)

Only had try dives but can really recommend that if you’re doubting if diving would be for you. A small place where they value that you have a good experience and max 4 pr.instructor. We were only two: my daughter at 9 and me. Anna our instructor had good patience with us and made us feel safe. Thanks for a nice day.

My girlfriend and I carried out several courses and fun dives with Koh Tao Divers (KTD) over the course of three weeks. In our opinion KTD is the epitome of how a dive center should be run; professional, well organized, and friendly.

We strongly recommend them for both new, advanced, and experienced divers as they offer quality diving education for a competitive price. Additionally they offer a plethora of specialties that allow divers to enhance their skills, as well as professional level courses for those wanting to pursue a career in diving.

As a side note, groups are limited in size to 4 divers per group. Thus, instruction is personal and more hands on compared to some centers that take up to 8 divers per group.

A big thanks to the entire KTD for the good times while on Koh Tao and we hope to see you again soon!

Did my open water with Mika. He’s really professional and such a good teacher. Very patient and precise on details of scuba diving. I am so grateful for him. Because of him I can dive! And did Advanced adventurer with Sakke. He’s a real buoyancy master! I saw some instructors with not so good buoyancy- they should learn from Sakke. Oh and Antti! I didn’t have chance to learn from him, but his briefing is excellent and he always gives you the good vibes.

This center is like family- small but tight. If you’re Finn, this center is your place. Others? It feels like you’re (the only one in the center who can’t speak single Suomi) with huge Finn family on their vacation.

Great instructors! They allow you to learn at at your own pace! Because they are a smaller school, the courses are more personal and the team is so kind!
