Khao Sok National Park

Beautiful, brilliant and breathtaking. What can I say more? It was an absolutely gorgeous sunny day so I decided on the spot to take a day trip to Khaosok National Park by boat. The long-tailed boat goes through the Ratchaprapa Dam, Cheow Larn Lake for 40 minutes. The view was fabulous It was so clear and the sky was so gloriously blue that it was a once in a lifetime experience- the cost of the boat trip was soon forgotten. A must 'do' if you are in Khaosok area.

One of most beautiful place i’ve seen in my life. It was like in avatar. And good place to relax and to be far from technology.

The best please that I'd like to recommend if you'd like to do a social detox.

Enjoy the perfectly natural without the internet or any signal. Quietly to let you stay with yourself and listen to your soul.

อุทยานที่ล้อมรอบด้วยภูเขา มีจุดกางเต๊นท์และบ้านพักให้เลือกใช้บริการ ยังมีเส้นทางน้ำตกและเส้นทางธรรมชาติเป็นกิจกรรมทางเลือก และไฮไลท์ของที่นี่คือเส้นทางเดินดูบัวผุดซึ่งมีที่จังหวัดสุราษเท่านั้น เส้นทางเดินป่าไปกลับประมาณ4กิโล ใช้เวลาประมาณ3ชั่วโมง ซึ่งต้องติดต่อกับทางเจ้าหน้าที่อุทยาน มีค่านำทางประมาณ600บาท

Great national park, although there are 2 different prices for foreigners and locals. No need personal guide for the first 3km, pretty easy hike and trek, however if you want to go further which is pass the information spot, you definitely need a guide! It gets deep and dark and confusing almost right away, and there are no cellphone signals, it’s pretty scary for first time goers.

อุทยานแห่งชาติเขาสกดินแดนศูนย์กลางของ “ขุนเขาแห่งป่าฝน” เป็นผืนป่าดิบชื้นผืนใหญ่ที่สุดและมีความสำคัญของภาคใต้อันประกอบไปด้วยอุทยานแห่งชาติเขาสก เขตรักษาพันธุ์สัตว์ป่าคลองแสง เขตรักษาพันธุ์สัตว์ป่าคลองยัน เขตรักษาพันธุ์สัตว์ป่าคลองนาคา อุทยานแห่งชาติศรีพังงา และอุทยานแห่งชาติแก่งกรุง มีพื้นที่ทั้งสิ้น 2,296,879.5 ไร่ มีความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพสูง อุดมไปด้วยพืชพรรณมากมายหลายชนิด ทั้งพืชพรรณที่หายากและเป็นพืชเฉพาะถิ่น อันได้แก่ บัวผุด ปาล์มเจ้าเมืองถลางหรือปาล์มหลังขาวและปาล์มพระราหู นอกจากนี้ยังเป็นแหล่งที่อยู่อาศัยของสัตว์ป่านานาชนิด โดยเฉพาะพบสัตว์ป่าสงวนถึง 4 ชนิด คือ เก้งหม้อ เลียงผา สมเสร็จ และแมวลายหินอ่อน และประกอบกับสภาพพื้นที่มีทิวทัศน์ ที่สวยงาม มีความมหัศจรรย์ทางธรรมชาติทั้งน้ำตก หน้าผา ถ้ำ และ ทิวทัศน์เทือกเขาหินปูนที่ตั้งตระหง่านเหนือผืนน้ำอ่างเก็บน้ำเขื่อนรัชชประภา จนได้รับฉายาว่า กุ้ยหลินเมืองไทย

อุทยานแห่งชาติเขาสกจัดตั้งขึ้นตามพระราชกฤษฎีกากำหนดบริเวณที่ดินป่าคลองหยีและคลองพระแสง ในท้องที่ตำบลคลองศก ตำบลพังกาญจน์ ตำบลพนม อำเภอพนม ตำบลพะแสงและตำบลเขาพัง อำเภอบ้านตาขุน จังหวัดสุราษฎร์ธานี ครอบคลุมพื้นที่ 645.52 ตารางกิโลเมตร หรือ 403,450 ไร่ โดยประกาศในราชกิจานุเบกษาเล่มที่ 97 ตอนที่ 197 ลงวันที่ 22 ธันวาคม 2523 เป็นอุทยานแห่งชาติลำดับที่ 22 ของประเทศไทย ต่อมาได้มีการปรับปรุงแนวเขตและเพิกถอนบริเวณทับซ้อนกับแนวเขตนิคมสหกรณ์พนมได้ทำการผนวกพื้นที่น้ำเหนืออ่างเก็บน้ำเขื่อนรัชชประภาเข้าเป็นอุทยานแห่งชาติเขาสก รวมมีเนื้อที่ทั้งหมด 738.74 ตารางกิโลเมตร หรือประมาณ 461,712.5 ไร่ ตามประกาศพระราชกิจจานุเบกษาเล่มที่ 111 ตอนที่ 32 ก เมื่อวันที่ 2 สิงหาคม 2537

Thailand at its best. Nature, relaxation and stunning scenery all incredibly well managed. Make sure that you stay overnight for the best experience!

I read a lot of reviews here not being able to understand their story. 300 bath entry is for foreigners and per entry. Meaning if you stay in the park that is it. The lake got formed to make power but is very clean and superb for kayaking or swimming. Sadly enough people and temples had to make way and also wild life. But they are trying to maintain what can be kept. Wild elephants, cats like panthers and leopards, deer and many exotic birds to name a few. Where can you find this near other heavily visited tourist destinations in Asia? You can get in touch with locals for guided tours or transport. That said all is on water and despite that drinks are cheap. I stayed at a expensive resort totalling in 24000 thb for transport from pier and some guided tours and two nights all meals included. Tea/coffee and soft drinks outside of that is charged within reason. That said you can find cheap spartan places with good guides and have a great time or pay more for comfort. My recommendation is to visit and enjoy the peace. There is no good cell coverage yet so go with a group and enjoy!
