Khao Sok National Park reviews
31 Did a tour. Pritty touristicated…next time we will try to hire a private boat.
Other then that it’s a really nature adventure
Beautiful! Worth visiting for longer time or daily for couple of days in a row. Scenery is breathtaking
Definitely a must-see during your trip to Thailand. A breathtaking experience out of this world
Very nice boat tours on the largest reservoir in Thailand. There is a large parking lot near the dam with many vans and also large buses. There is a restaurant and public toilets. Quite a bit of hype for a lot of people. It gets quieter the further the tour on the lake goes into the wonderful nature. There are also floating resorts where you can stay overnight.
It is a very beautiful area and good for sailing (with a guide), swimming and canoeing. Wild animals unfortunately not seen because it rained hard all day. Especially in dry weather very worthwhile (then 5 stars I think), in case of rain 1 tip: sit backwards in the boat. Then the rain won't hit you in the face and the boat trip can still be done with bat.
Very nice place. We visited this place in the end of july, so it was rainy and mudy weather. 2 days are enough for staying and makeing trip here.

Khao Sok National Park is one of the most beautiful places in Thailand. Really a must see for all the nature lovers. For more photos see @togoandsee on Instagram.
Khao Sok is best described as magical. As with all countries, each has their own amazing locations that inspire and awe visiting tourists, and Khao Sok is one of those places here in Southern Thailand. Touted as even more diverse in animal and plant species than the Amazon Rain forest, whether you agree or not, the park is truly something to behold. Mist or light clouds weaving through towering, ancient mountains covered in a thick tropical canopy sets the tone for your first views of the park area. The park entrance is literally only about 1 hour from Khao Lak and is a great respite from the hustle and bustle of the resort areas.
The park entrance area has numerous restaurants, bungalows and activities to enjoy without traveling all the way to the Lake which is about another hour or so further down the road. Jungle Zip lines, river Tubing, jungle treks and more can be enjoyed from this area making it a perfect place (especially when traveling with kids) not too far from the Khao Lak area.
For those wishing for more adventure then Cheow Lan Lake is your next Khao Sok destination. Take the amazing geography I noted above and then add a very expansive and beautiful lake complete with floating resorts, amazing caves and of course those awe inspiring limestone Karsts protruding from the lake. Beautiful.
There are numerous companies providing a broad range of adventures, activities and wonderful things to see, do and experience so I really recommend that if you go to the lake spend a night or two. You can thank me later. Day trips from Khao Lak area to the lake are subject to allot of travel time vs fun time so keep this in mind.
Getting to anywhere in Khao Sok is easy either by organized tour, private minivan or one of the many regularly scheduled (comfortable, air conditioned and OMG so cheap) buses which travel to and through the park daily.
I had a great day there. As it is human made nature (More many years ago they had to destroy forest and relocate communities+animal to new place some could be rescued on time some got drowned) Limestone mountain create crystals water like in the ocean+cloud made backgrounds so special
Absolutely stunning scenery, but the park has a lot of problems, such as drunks, noise, and crowds. Jet skis are supposedly illegal in the park, but they show up at times too. With a bit of law enforcement and proper management, this could be one of the coolest places on earth, but alas.
Still, when you get out in nature, it's breathtakingly beautiful.
Quite crowded due to Songkran holidays, but as it is so big it did not really bother. Beautiful scenery, playful monkeys and impressive birds to observe.
Khao Sok is perfectly situated on the mainland between Phuket, Krabi, Khao Lak and Koh Samui, the most popular destinations in Southern Thailand. It is a fantastic place to go on vacation.
Close and personal elephant encounters, jungle trekking on foot and canoeing are all possible activities, which will give you the experience of a lifetime. ️
This is a place to refresh, disconnect with routines, and reconnect with nature. Bit away from regular track but east to book some resort in this place.
To visit this park is to come into complete contact with nature thanks to its great biodiversity. The park's fauna includes different species of monkeys, snakes, lizards, insects and birds. But its flora is not far behind, as the jungle hides, among others, giant trees, bamboos and the largest flower in the world, called Rafflesia, which can reach up to one metre in diameter and weigh up to 11 kilos!
The main entrance to the park and its offices are located in the jungle area. This is also where most of the accommodation, restaurants, shops and agencies for excursions and transfers are located.
In this part of the park there are many activities you can do: trekking, rafting, jungle excursions with animal sightings, river rafting, etc.
Khao Sok is relatively close to the southern islands of Thailand, so it's easy to combine it into your itinerary if you have 3 extra days.
Poor service. Racist staff being disrespectful and very unproffesional.
Must be educated about racism as well as customer service. Im very unhappy with the service they provided because they were talking behind us. Very rude!
Scenic island in middle of huge reservoir.you need to hire a boat from dam pier point which would cost around 2000-3200THB based on number of person traveling per boat. Park entry fee for foreigners 300THB adult, 150THB child (1/10 for locals.sounds like free entry compared to foreigners entry). Nothing to complaint as park is well maintained and with such foreigners visit only they make some funds
