Haad Yao Divers

I had my discovery dive with Vladi. That was the very first one I did. I felt like I was in great hands at the diving school, especially with Vladimir. He took all my fears away, always explained things calmly and the other diving instructors from the diving school also created a cool experience. It was a cool vibe, I would recommend it to everyone. The experience underwater was unique. So I can only give it full stars and highly recommend it.

Came here because of the excellent reviews and had two fun dives at sail rock. The current was quite strong but it was fun anyways. We were diving with Vladi. He is an absolute professional with a lot of interesting stories to tell and a good eye for details underwater. We would dive with him anytime again.

I had the best experience with Haad Yao Divers. It was the first time that I was going to dive and I am glad I did that with Haad Yao. Miroslav was the best instructor I could ever have. He trained me really well and gauged my capabilities. Definitely recommend this for the best diving experience.

Had an incredible experience with these guys!
It was my first dive after getting a PADI Open Water licence half a year ago. James, the instructor, helped me with everything, reminded me the most important things, I felt very safe all the time and enjoyed each and every minute of both dives. We went to the Sail Rock, a lot of fishes, diving throught the 'chimney' and chill mode made the experience worth repeating for sure.

Thanks Haad Yao Team for a great Time. Heike, Vladi, Mateja and Leighton all know what they are doing. Very good organized.

Our dive master Storm / Stormy was fantastic! He made us so comfortable (we hadn’t dived in a few years, so he took some extra time with us at the start to make sure we were OK to go under the water) and we had a truly great time in his capable hands. He’s a great dive master and has a great personality too, making us laugh and telling great diving stories. He also facilitated one of the most magical underwater dives we’ve ever participated in – being fully surrounded by a large (and I MEAN LARGE) school of fish. Over, under, and all around, he gave us a memory that will last a life-time, swimming in a giant ball of beautiful fish. We saw many of sea life on our two dives with him (damsel fish, grouper, batfish, box fish, barracuda, lobsters, ghost shrimp, clown fish …) and it was a delight. Highly Recommend and very thankful! A+

Amazing experience!
We spent our PADI here and I have to say it was an amazing experience. First because the boss is very friendly, second because our instructor Ian was friendly, helpful and very patient, third because we saw a whale shake at our first dive.

Went for my 'first' dive after my open water dive precovid and Etienne (dive master) was very patient with me, appreciate his help and confidence boosting ability that made me more comfortable in the water on my subsequent dives. Thank you!

I did my advanced open water diver license with haad yao divers and I could'nt wish for anything better. My diving instructor was Mario and he did an amazing job and had an answer for every question.

Food served was atrocious and gave me and partner horrific food poisoning. The lunch was tepid and was left out in warm Tupperware boxes from breakfast time onward. This is an elementary health hazard and easily avoided danger for clients- either make something fresh or don’t serve pre-prepared food that has been sat in room-temp containers for hours on end. This is probably the most efficient way to give people who eat your food a nasty case of vomiting bug/norovirus. Avoid the toxic green curry set for lunch at all costs, or you will pay the ultimate price. First, my bad for eating food I paid 1700 baht per person to eat. Am I so wrong? I was hungry, and paid money for it. I feel fairly in the right by asserting that I paid good money for lunch so I can’t be attacked for eating it. Unfortunately the lunch attacked me with great force that same evening and I was racked with illness, bedbound, weak and unable to even drink water for a whole 24 hours. By far the worst food served to me in the Whole of Asia and believe me I’m not a picky eater. Call me crazy for eating food that I paid for, and not expecting to be deathly ill from a light lunch. The trip to Ang Thong Marine Park was over 2 hours each way, and I’ve seen far better locations just off the beach shore in other parts of Thailand… not worth the money or time. Even worse was that we only saw 2 dive sites the whole day. Considering the size of the park I expected a few more spots. No indication of the days itinerary was really given. Overall disappointing experience and for gods sake don’t eat their lunch. Compared to several other tours I’ve done in Thailand and other Asian countries this was the most laborious and also the most expensive. If you want a good dive I’d suggest head to Koh Tao or take a different tour. Overall very expensive and really not worth it. Anyone who thinks 1 star is harsh, I encourage you to try their lunch and Ang Thong tour, and try writing your glowing review whilst your body attempts to purge itself of the poisonous lunch.

This was an absolutely fantastic dive experience. Went to Sail Rock with Mario as dive master. The marine life was amazing and Mario was the perfect DM. Highly recommend, I'm going to go back to Sail Rock, it's on par with places in the red sea in terms of marine life

Excellent diving center!
I have been diving for some time already with different diving centers from different parts of the world. Diving with Haad Yao Divers was unique and really fun expirience as their quality is far above the average. They are gathering people based in the certification, therefore I was lucky and had solo dives with Vinny and Julian. Both were acting as buddy and not DM/instructur by not trying to control the dive, but just pointing directions and showing interesting marine life.
If - when - I'll be in Ko Pha Ngan next time, will dive with Haad Yao Divers again for sure.

Did my open water and advanced here! Very good instructor (mario!) very well organised (heike!) diving school! You can practise directly on hadyao beach or go with the boat to sail rock! I will come back! Thank you

Last Saturday we went diving at Sail Rock. The visibility was pretty good. There were only three Dive Boat, that was perfect for us. We saw a lot of fish but unfortunately no wale shark. Maybe next time. Very friendly stuff!

Highly recommend Haad Yao Divers — Deeply Addictive! I went on the day trip to Sail Rock which includes 2 fun dives, breakfast, lunch, transport, and good conversation. My instructor Thorsten was so much fun, friendly, and very knowledgeable. He also captured photos and video with a GoPro. Would definitely go diving with Haad Yao Divers again during my next visit to Koh Phangan! Hopefully I’ll see a whale shark sometime.
