Divepoint Koh Tao

Top diving school! We had 3 really nice days of diving. Marco and Orestis are great diving instructors who also show a lot of consideration for all participants.
The diving boat is also great. Thanks!

The five stars go personally to (I hope spelled correctly) Lynn & Marco! We had a unique experience with both of them today. They took great care of our group of four people. Personally, I've had problems with diving because of the pressure, but not today! As a group and especially on the part of both of them, I was looked after with a lot of understanding, so that we descended extra slowly according to my feeling.

If I can rate the two individually somewhere, I would be happy to do so if someone sees it and knows where to do it!

There's a super cute cat living on the ship, bonus point.

I finished my Open Water Diver and my Advanced Adventurer (SSI) with DivePoint in June 2023.

Orestis and Marius accompanied my Open Water through 6 dives on 3 days. The theory classes and also the dives were well organised and perfectly explained for beginners. I always felt safe and perfectly supervised with them.
Same with Advanced Adventurer. I did deep dive, wreck and night dive together with Orestis and Marius which was again perfect without any issues. Through the two courses we had a lot of fun and i really enjoyed those courses with them.
Rating Orestis and Marius 12/10.
Bouancy and navigation was with Patrick, which is of the most experienced instructors on Koh Toa. He teached us a lot and i really improved my bouyancy. Especially for beginners Patrick can help you a lot to feel more comfortable under water and it is really nice to dive with him who has that much experience.

I also had some fundives with Marco and Paul. Both of them are very good guides and i saw a lot of marine life with all of them. They also had some good ideas to make diving easier and safer for me.

In the end i stayed two weeks on Koh Tao only for diving and now i have 23 logged dives with DivePoint.
So if i could i would give 6 stars for DivePoint. Big recommendation.

Really cool diving school on Ko Tao!
Orestis led our course and is a really good teacher who conveys everything to you in a very personable and good manner at the same time.
We have always felt safe under Orestis' supervision and will certainly take it to the next level. Hopefully again with Orestis and at the Dive Point on Koh Tao!

I did 18 dives here and loved each one. Very good dive sites, the shop is conveniently beside the pier and café for breakfast

I did my Open Water and Advanced Diver at Dive Point. I was super satisfied and can recommend the diving school with a clear conscience. Orestis and Marius conveyed the content to me in a very descriptive way and never neglected to have fun!

I really had a great time. Diving with my instructor, Marco, is the best. He ran the course professionally but no stress. He showed me the cool spots and explained everything clearly.

Also, Mr. White, the cat on the boat was so adorable.

I got this dive school recommended by a work colleague in 2017 and can only recommend it even after my third visit.
Meanwhile I have about 20 confirmed dives through DivePoint.
During my stay I met Marco, a top dive instructor.
In my experience a top dive instructor who can communicate in German and English.
Here I also learned to appreciate the advantages of the low season.
Marco managed to improve my balance a lot within a few dives.
Because of the low season he could concentrate more on me. I also made significant progress in navigation thanks to him.
Sven and Walter (owners) also cater to requests.
I was allowed to take Julien, a photographer, for two dives for a fee.
Marco had also here first-class ideas, at which dive site, which poses look good under water.
Another plus is the provision of a scooter for my stay.
The daily price is cheaper than the rentals in the area.
I completed the Deep Specialty 40m with Patrick, an instructor who speaks both French and English. Patrick is one of the most experienced instructors in his age group that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.
Paul, a fairly young German instructor, accompanied me on a couple of dives and did an excellent job during the dive.
About the boat:
- The tanks are filled with up to 230 bar of air, which is still 30 bar more than usual
- Ceiling height approx. 2.20 m, so no problems when tightening the BCD etc.
- Small catering between the dives (pineapple, cookies, water, coffee, instant noodles and soft drinks for a small fee)
- Large sundeck on the boat
- Two showers at the stern of the boat
- Lots of seating in the shade
Conclusion:
I highly recommend this dive center with 10/10.
Nice interaction with each other and great collegial climate.

Conclusion:
I would highly recommend this dive school 10/10.
Nice way to deal with each other and a great collegial atmosphere.

I had my very first dive today, even though I was very scared and had great respect for it before. Together with a friend who already has a diving license, I booked a scuba try at Divepoint. Marius & Marco managed to calm me down and gave me all the necessary information. The two of them made me feel very safe, we had a great dive and were able to explore the underwater world of Ko Tao.
In summary: I can heartily recommend the diving school and especially Marco von Marius.

Highly recommended.

We dived with Divepoint in April. We are both advanced and it was a fun experience. Kai was very nice and took as to beautiful dive spots with many dive throughs (which I loved!). We dived also to a ship wreck. Everything was professional, safe and with a pleasant atmosphere. We had a really good time.

Also the shop is close to the pier with own boat and no need to carry the gear on and off the boat like other schools have to do it.
Especially Elias my dive instructor was a gem of a guide: patient, funny and all very safe;)

Zusammen mit meiner Freundin hatten wir einen super Open-Water-Tauchkurs mit Elias als Instructor. Man fühlte sich stets sicher und Probleme aller Art konnten immer gelöst werden. Entspannte Atmosphäre auf dem Boot, super tolle Dive-Spots. Definitiv das Highlight unseres Urlaubs:)

Zum 2. Mal sind wir bei Divepoint (2015 und 2020) und beide Male klasse. Walter ist wieder sehr, sehr nett und die Basis ist top organisiert. Das Boot sowie das Equipment ist in Top Zustand

Super tauchschule, wurde von anfang an kompetent und ausführlich beraten. Ist keine "fabriktauchschule" wir waren 3 schüler mit einem tauchlehrer und einem divemaster. Habe mich jederzeit sicher und wohl gefühlt. Hier nochmals besonderen dank an max und hamna, für ihren super job!

After spending many years on Koh Tao I cound not recommended Divepoint highly enough.
Walter has been working to make his dive shop a friendly, safe and affordable place for a long time.
Seven joined Divepoint a few years ago and takes care of the day to day. He is very good at helping people get the most from their time.

Divepoint is a long established diveoperator on koh tao, the use to run the best boat on koh tao, unfortunatly now about 5 companies share the boat, still it is well organized the flair has changed, today they run two big boats, and it seams to be quite crowded,
