Chill Inn Beach Cafe & Hostel

*** AVOID *** Hygiene standards here are non existent. Leaking pipes in the toilet dripping brown water. Black mold growing on the ceilings. Save your money and go elsewhere.

We checked out a day early because the room and bathroom were filthy. When we checked out the receptionist didn't even notice that we were leaving a day early, so when I mentioned it she just shrugged. First time we've ever left somewhere early but I'm glad we did. We booked the hostel because it had great reviews but severely disappointed.

Great location and view from the hostel, really nice space to hang out anytime of the day and the paddleboards and kayak make it even better!

A great place that makes you calm and happy. If you love the beach and beautiful nature you would like this place. The rooms are great and the staff is awesome.

A perfect hostel with a very good restaurant. The rooms, the bathrooms and toilets are very clean and smell good. The restaurant is not that expensive and the food is very very good, I recommand it! And the staff is lovely, they will help you if you need something.
The place is also beautiful, just accross the beach!

Chill Inn is an excellent choice for you if you are looking for a budget-friendly hostel in a prime location with great food. The rooms are clean and all amenities such as WiFi and so on are fine.

Special shout-out to the small cabana-like thingys near the bar where you can just lay back, overlooking the ocean while enjoying a great Mai Thai. Heavily recommend!

We got our food at different times so we could not eat together. This was strange because we were the only guests at the restaurant.

Myself and 2 friends stayed here for 2 nights. We would have stayed longer except that the 4th person in our room was up all night throwing up and we don’t want to stay with him another night.

The hostel itself is very nice. We wished there were a shared fridge to put food. We could put food in the restaurant fridge but then it would be locked at night and we couldn’t get it out till the next day.

It’s nice that they have a kayak and paddle boards to use. The outdoor area is very nice. Lots of places to lounge and overlook the water.

Overall, very nice stay. It’s a relaxing hostel. Not so noisy and it’s nice that it’s right on the beach. If you’re wanting lots of fun things nearby, you’d be better off staying further to the north side of the island. But if you want a quiet and peaceful place, this is a great place!

Loved my stay at Chill! Few steps from your bed and you’re in the water. Bar is great and easy to meet people. Staff were super helpful organising taxi’s etc.a good spot if you wanna get out of the chaos of the rest of the island.

Wir waren dort zum Abend essen. Grossartig! Feines Essen, sehr netter Service und Preis Leistungsverhältnis überragend. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Lovely hostel, the food was great, location is beautiful with the sea right outside the front. I had an accident in the sea and cut my leg badly on some dead coral, the staff were absolutely brilliant, they were with me within minutes with a first aid kit to clean my wound and get me bandaged as best they could. Irish lady I'm sorry I forgot your name, amazing job of looking after me and keeping me calm. Then the owners gave me lifts to and from the hospital, both Ren and Chris were really lovely. Thank you to everyone at Chill Inn, you were so kind

Absolute amazing place to stay. Was only supposed to stay for a couple of days, but that turned out to the waay longer. Loved all of it, the location and the staff were outstanding!

Good for drink or basic Thai seemed ok I only had a drink but presentation was good and alcohol seemed quality (some places serve local liquor of dubious strength and flavor) nice quaint view over water but basic tables outside as you would expect from hostel accom cafe.

This place was amazing. The staff was super nice, very helpful and offered great tipps on what to do around the island. Everything was clean and did get cleaned every day. Also a great place to meet other travellers.

View, price, nice staff, bar and restaurant. And you can rent and booking everything from the hostal (taxi, boat, moto bike,)

Really great hostel! Right on the beach, they provide paddle boards and a kayak for you to use which is so nice. Water machine is also available, and mosquito repellent is given (you need it haha) only issue was my room didn’t get any type of wifi, so you had to be in the public area with the mosquitoes if you were wanting to use it. The shower was warm the first night, then cold the other 2. Unsure why though! Most of the staff didn’t speak English very well, I tried to book for another 2 nights but apparently it wasn’t possible to do so from the receptionist? Because of this I did end up booking at another hostel on the island in a different area, closer to the fisherman’s village and more restaurants as there isn’t a whole lot around Chill Inn hostel.

Would recommend staying in the 8 bed dorm as I saw the 10 bed and it looked VERY tight

We went to the restaurant several times for dinner and, in addition to the delicious cocktails, always tried a different dish from the menu. The food always tasted super delicious!
The restaurant / hostel is located directly on the beach and is totally cozy. We were always welcomed nicely.
Definitely recommendable!

Chill Inn was such a great place to live, good vibes and friendly people, Ren our host was so lovely and welcoming, helping with us with everything we needed! The bar faces the beach and allows for fun mid day swims would definitely recommend to anyone choosing to come to koh samui

Chill inn is just the most amazing place to stay at, our host Ren is lovely and so so helpful! He's helped us with all our requests so far and made our stay so comfortable (and also gave us the best recommendations on the island!) The rooms are clean, the staff are so nice, the view from the dorm rooms are spectacular and very importantly, the wifi is insanely fast (good enough for video calls and remote working). Vibes are immaculate, so lucky to have found this place

It’s a great hostel with a stunning view over the sea from the rooms. I really enjoyed my stay and definitely would recommend this place if you are searching for a hostel on Samui with great people. I extended my stay twice! The owner Mike is super friendly and helpful and showed us around on the island. Try the beef burger at the hostel - it’s amazing.
