Cape Shark Pool Villas

Had a wonderful 4 nights with a group of friends, stayed at multiple villas, C1, C5, C24, C25, P3 & P5. Kitchen is fully equipped. Bedrooms are ok, not excellent. Terrace at each villa is superb. All staffs are very friendly and attentive. This place requires a bit of a walk, up and down steep slope! Not recommend for elderly. Food delivery takes at least 45 minutes waiting time!

Quiet and excellent resort in koh tao I stayed at c18 with outstanding view. I love the concept and how they designed overall. Staff are helpful but a little bit far from city.we definitely want to go back next time.

One of the most luxurious places to stay on Koh Tao, even for just one night. Even with just the two of us, it was worth it to book a Villa that sleeps 6+ (all that was available). The view from your own personal infinity pool is stunning, and the AC and mosquito net over the bed made it one of the most comfortable nights I've had in Thailand.

Bungalow is self contained, they have thought of everything. Beautiful views, staff amazing, excellent value for money. Spotless my clean.
A phone to call for take outs if you don’t fancy trekking into town. We rented a scooter but there is a free hotel shuttle 3 times a day or taxis, but they are expensive. Snorkelling off the jetty but in November too rough to get into the sea.

Lots of bugs and walking. The driver that shuttles back and forth is very rude. Hills are very steep.

Really nice place, nice view, free taxi two times a day, just the wifi is bad but the rest is really nice:) if you want to go in the city you need taxi or scooter for sure

We had a fantastic stay. Beautiful location and villas with breathtaking views. It is far off the main tourist area and there is no restaurant. The villa comes with a very good stocked fridge with very reasonable prices. Additionally, a whole range of restaurants deliver food without surcharge. The villas are so beautiful, that you don’t wanna leave them anyway.

Poorly maintained, the entire place is under construction, service is slow. The extra star is because the view from the room is really special.

Terrible villa. Except the view everything is awful. Not recommended at all. We came here 2 days ago and thinking of living to other place. There are many bugs in the room, the cleaning stuff dont cahnge the dirty towels and just leave them outside. You here many noises in the night so it almost impossible to sleep. The shower is very small. The curteins dont work.

Stayed in probably the best villa there in C5C. The sea is just right in outside the doorstep, just like a private sea for me and my wife.
Getting to the villa from the pier is smooth, the staff will be waiting at the pier with a card, follow them and you'll be at the reception in around 10mins time.
Getting to C5C from the reception is not for people with walking issues and there are very very steep slopes and flights of stairs which can be very stressful to the knees.
You can ask the staff to arrange for bike rental but I think it's price is a bit of the high side. At least the rental comes with insurance so minus the worry of being caught up in some claim frauds. If you're new to riding a bike, I don't recommend you renting one as everytime i want to get to town, it's always a nerve wrecking journey with more steep slopes along the way.
The villa itself is pretty self sufficient with drink, beers, wine, cup noodles and cooking utensils. Strangely enough, there's a sauna room in the villa which I used it to put my luggages. Talking about luggage, try to go lite if possible.
Anyway, met the owner, Elizabeth when checking out and enjoyed chatting with her and wish I could be also enjoying life like her.

Fantastic stay, great view, very romantic villas. Difficult to reach, but they provide free shuttles to the pier. Very nice staff, they also offered late check out to reach the pier more conveniently. Undoubtedly recommended.

Breathtaking views, nice and secluded yet not to far away from town, very professional efficient staff. The receptionist was great! Complimentary water and cooling clothes as you walk in as she could tell we were really hot. Most of the thatching on the villas need retouching but it’s just a cosmetic fix as there are no leaks or gaps just doesn’t look as pretty but that’s expected from island winds. Will definitely be back

This is by far the greatest and most luxurious experience I’ve ever had in Thailand. Koh Tao to start with is probably the most gorgeous island in the gulf. Anyway, cape shark villas, what can I say from the moment we checked in to moment we walked into our villa we had smiles from ear to ear from excitement and also laughter if you have the pleasure of meeting with there most enthusiastic, fun-loving, full of laughter staff member Anne (Anh?) (not sure of spelling) but if you meet her you’ll know exactly who I’m talking about. However, she is a little hard to understand but certainly brightens up your day no matter what. Our villa (P5 pool villa), for just the two of us was absolutely incredible with a sunset view people would only dream of. However, on our second night there was a dog behind us on private property that kept us awake a couple nights so we requested a change of room and without hesitation the staff went to all lengths to move us to a new room within hours. They gave us a 4 bedroom pool villa with an even better view which we couldn’t believe. This place truly looks after their guests. If I had to fault this place which is extremely difficult to, it’s a little isolated and tough to get to but they provide a daily shuttle that runs about 4 times a day into the centre of Koh Tao (the pier) and from there you can find/barter with taxi boats to get around the island for an absolute incredible experience. Best snorkeling just an extremely steep stones throw from your villa down hill. Probably the best on the island in my personal opinion. Hope you frequent the stair master hahahahaha (getting back up) but soooo worth it. Last thing, you can have food delivered to your room from restaurants in the area but I would recommend taking a massive shopping trip into town and finding a market if you want to save on $$ we spent about $100 in town and had enough food to last the entire length of our stay (that includes booze ;) anyway I hate giving it such a good review for the reason that I’m only making it more popular so it’ll only be harder for my wife and I to make another reservation next time we come back which will most likely be next year. Anyway, stay here, you won’t regret it

Very nice staff. Beautiful views. Air con in bedrooms only. Bathroom attached to each bedroom. Hike up the hill to get to reception, not a big deal though. Snorkelling a minute walk away. Super relaxing. Only downfall is you have to get driven to a town for food u less you want it super expensive from neighbouring resorts. Also the complementary drive provided by the resort is one way, so either you get driven or picked up. You have to get a taxi back at your own expense.

Unbelievable place! We stayed on an amazing villa with private pool, the staff was great, specially Anne! I would recommend it to anyone. Specially since, if booked in advance, it is possible to find very economic prices!

Incredible view but be aware though of the traps with the minibar they change even if you don't use.
