Cape Shark Pool Villas

We showed up to discover there was construction right next to our suite so they upgraded us to a larger villa free of cost. Great service. Free pick up and drop off of person and luggage to the resort upon arrival via ferry. Rooms were cleaned and fresh towels provided daily. Room C16 in particular has a stunning view. Area is a bit remote but was fine to access with a scooter from town, just a bit steep in moments.

Summing up 6 days with cape shark villas as one good experience. We will sleep in p10, first of all, the rooms are beautiful, organized with air conditioning, a private pool, a huge balcony with a stunning view and everything you can dream of. Fully equipped kitchen, TV with Netflix, living room. An organized book with everything you want to do on the island including restaurants and massage to order straight to the villa. The hotel is indeed remote and on the mountain. But there are organized shuttles that can pick you up and bring you back within hours. You can rent a motorbike but I didn't do it because of the relatively difficult hills.
There are also 3 piers that you can snorkel for free, highly recommend.
Apart from the hotel, the people and the service were excellent, they took us to the hotel in the morning when we arrived and the guy at the reception, whose name I unfortunately forgot, recommended us to take a diving course and that's what we did. He also helped us with everything we asked for, attractions, questions, etc. I want to especially thank PANG because my phone was destroyed and even though it was the end of the day she took me to a phone shop gave me her phone to call home and then drove me back to the villa. In short, I recommend and I will definitely come back again.

It is my second experience in these villas, the first time was exceptional, this time we rented villa C1, very high price for what it is, rooms that smell of humidity, neglected rustic bathroom, a lot of dust and minimal cleaning even though the girls come Every day we are talking about a villa that for 4 nights they charge you 1300 euros in exchange, I think everything should be more personalized because they charge you everything well, then in the hallway, the weather was bad and there were leaks, they told us to put towels, I don't see one solution, the wifi did not work for two days, in general the staff was very good, especially the guy who speaks Spanish who was a gentleman at all times, he even gave us pills so we wouldn't get seasick on the boat. In short, the stay was not bad but this time We saw too many failures for a villa of this level.

We originally only wanted to stay for 2 nights, but because it was so fantastic we booked 2 more nights. The staff is extremely friendly, courteous and helpful - exceptional even by Thai standards! The location and the houses are absolutely amazing! We will definitely come back to this facility! Thank you for the great time, dear team!

Was für ein tolles Ressort! Wir waren 3 Wochen in Thailand und unsere Pool Villa (Nummer C6A) in Cape Shark war mit Abstand das Highlight der Ausblick ist super - man sieht bis nach Koh Phangnan und Koh Samui, der Pool vorm Schlafzimmer ist toll, Service super, es wurde alles organisiert vom Leih -Moped bis zur Massage am Zimmer, was wünscht man sich mehr. Leider verging die Woche viel zu schnell, wir kommen wieder

To be honest we were we a bit disappointed by this place. Compared to other places we stayed in Thailand it was a bit expensive compared to what we got.

We lived in villa P1. It had a small dipping pool and sea view. The room was nice. However there is quite a lot of animal and also traffic sound as the road is right below the villa. Also it is strange that they have made a fence which blocks the view when sitting on the terrace. It is a quite steep walk from the sea to this villa.

There is no breakfast or restaurant close by. They have takeaway from a couple of places, but they were quite mediocre.

The villa is not very far from the center and they have some free shuttles, however probably easiest to use a scooter. Taxis are 500-600 baht to main beach).

I think the bigger villas closer to the sea probably are a better deal as there is not much else to do here other than stay in the villa or go snorkeling.

I regret to inform potential guests that Cape Shark Villas in Koh Tao has failed to meet the basic standards of hospitality and professionalism. I feel compelled to write a review warning potential customers about the negative experience I had at Cape Shark Villas.

Upon arrival, I was informed that the villa I had booked was unavailable, despite calling to confirm my booking four days prior. The resort could only provide me with one villa of the same grade as my booking and another that was a downgrade. The manager claimed that they had attempted to contact the guests occupying the villa I had booked but could not reach them, which I later discovered was a lie. It was apparent that the resort had overbooked, which was extremely disappointing.

While the resort attempted to compensate for the inconvenience by offering a 2000 baht discount, I later found out that this was merely the price of the downgraded villa I had been given due to the overbooking. The resort manager's insincerity in compensating for the inconvenience was clear.

The resort's services were only available from 08: 00 to 17: 00, and there was no intra-system of telephone to contact the lobby. The mobile phone provided was useless since the resort had poor signal in the area. Furthermore, the resort's location on a steep cliff made it difficult for people with physical limitations to access the villas, and the shuttle service was only available during specific hours.

The resort was also far from everything else on the island and didn't even have its restaurant or bar, making it challenging for guests to access basic amenities. The minibar and snacks in the villa were all provided for a price, which was a letdown since other resorts in the same price range typically provide complimentary snacks and drinks. Additionally, the breakfast was poorly managed, with pre-cooked breakfast boxes from an outsourced restaurant, and delivery was only done by one person. This resulted in delayed delivery of breakfast, with some guests unable to have breakfast before check-out or not have enough time to eat it before the ferry departed.

The resort manager had knowledge of the ferry boat schedule and the check-out time for each guest, but they failed to organize the resort shuttle service to deliver guests to the pier on time. This resulted in guests nearly missing their ferry and causing chaos for everyone involved. The resort also failed to follow through on promises made, such as contacting me back before 07: 00 pm to inform me of the compensation for the inconvenience from the overbooking situation, providing breakfast at 07: 00 am, and having the shuttle car and bellboys ready for my check-out at 08: 00 am.

In summary, while the resort offers a breathtaking view of the ocean from its cliff-side location, Cape Shark Villas in Koh Tao provided an extremely disappointing experience. The resort's overbooking practices, insincere attempts at compensation, inadequate services, and poorly managed breakfast and shuttle services made for an unpleasant stay. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere for a resort that prioritizes guest comfort and satisfaction.

The view is amazing, the price is reasonable and the staff is very good.
There are plenty of food delivery options also at reasonable price.

My friends and I couldn’t have asked for a better stay! The villa was incredibly beautiful and clean. The staff was so helpful and nice! Would definitely come back!

Cape Shark Villas are amazing. We stayed in C23a and didn’t ever want to leave!
Stunning villa with absolutely stunning views. All staff were helpful, friendly and caring. Every little detail is taken care of, from fresh drinking water daily to a small basic first aid box. Everything about the villa, furnishings, equipment and infinity pool amazed me and I would highly recommend staying here. Be prepared for a very steep journey up to the villas and the need for transport (unless you’re bionic!)
We will definitely be back and thank you to all at Cape Shark for an outstanding holiday.

Everything was perfect from the beginning.
The receptionist introduced us a everything and we got the best recommendations for renting scooters with bringing service and food delivery!
They have a lot to offer you to fulfill your wishes.

The view was breathtaking. No words or pictures can describe the feeling you have, only by watching with your own eyes.

You have access to equipment for paddle and snorkeling and the infinity pool is filled with salt water, which is absolutely nice!

Everything is clean here!

You get real luxury on Koh Tao!
I will come back again so for vacation it is an absolutely recommendation ️

Only one little minus was, that on the side of this villa is little street where people are passing around, so there is not so big pricacy: (

I didn’t expect to see a beautiful sunset here because I came during low season on Koh Tao island but these are the most beautiful villas and the best sunsets in my opinion

We were absolutely thrilled when we arrived here and found the villa to be even better than the pictures can describe. The staff are welcoming and friendly and made us feel part of a community. We will be coming here again in the future to enjoy the villas and explore more of what Ko Tao has to offer!

Expensive and maybe worth it if you want a private space with amazing view.

They have room for improvement like free breakfast, 24 hour service, pickup from villa upon request. Roads are more than 45 degrees so they really need to provide on demand pickup as I wouldn't want to drive around on these slops.

If you ask on Line then are very flexible though, so this makes up for some of the misgivings.

Overall we needed this after some bad experience at Clear View hotel, near the pier.

The hotel is spectacular.
Once you enter your room there is no need to leave unless your up for some hill running, stairs running, or going to the Sun Deck for some sun or a good swim/snorkeling. The room is perfect on the cliff with nice natural bathroom, full kitchen with everything you need and I mean FULL KITCHEN. I would def stay there again. I recommed for people to go at the end of their trips once theyb have explored the island enough, cause its really steep to go there and I wouldnt advice leaving and riding your scooter back at night its really dangerous. Such a lovely place, we got C6B the 1 bedroom pool villa, Spectacular!

Came with a group of friends and stayed in the 5-bedroom villa. A perfect place to just chill out and enjoy the views. Loved the design and facilities.

The two main bedrooms are very nice and large. The other three rooms are quite small but comfortable.
