The sea was so pretty that it was great for snorkeling.
It was also nice to spend time leisurely kayaking.
All the food I ate at SANDS was delicious!
The staff were all so friendly that I felt even better.
What was disappointing was that there weren't many view points to take pictures and the breakfast wasn't very good.
Other than that, I'm satisfied with everything!
I rested well, played well, and made a lot of good memories

Great family holiday on Samui! Loved the villa including the daily cleaning and surprises from Mod. Enjoyed the kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding with assistance from Jate and Nook at the beach. Wonderful meal at Saffron from Chef Nui and Cha-aim. Our kids loved the Junior Chef course from Chef Maew at the Bakery. Too many experiences and people to mention them all. Memorable from start to finish! Can't wait to return in the future!

We had a great time at the Banyan tree Samui. The staff are very nice and helpful. The room was great and the in-villa pool was amazing with exceptional view. We got upgraded to the wellness villa which comes with a whirlpool in addition to the regular pool, and it was grand to have during the colder days.

This is easily the nicest resort I have ever stayed at. Everything about Banyan Tree Resorts is 5 star, but Samui has been the best one I have stayed at in Thailand.

This is my second stay and everything was still as great as the first time. I received a highly attentive care. Recommend this resort for those looking for a peaceful and relaxing environment among the nature.

It was Horizon Sea View, but it was so deep that I had to ride a cart for more than 5 minutes to get to the lobby. It's a hassle once you get in, but the Sands restaurant in the resort is not delicious. The view is really nice, but it's hot in the morning because it faces east. It's still pretty, but I'm not sure if it's worth the price.
There are a lot of ants in the pool villa, but they kill them right away by spraying insecticide, and the insecticide and the corpses of the ants end up in the pool in the room. I felt uncomfortable ㅠ

Great hotel, facilities, and service with stunning beach. Would recommend eating at local restaurants as onsite restaurants are very expensive.

Mrs and I love the villa and we enjoyed staying at the villa very much. Our objective is to stay away from the crowds and to rejuvenate with private beaches that banyan could provide. Our well-being was taken care of. We would like to highlight to the resort management that, during our stay, we witnessed the security officer standing under the heavy rain wearing a raincoat. It was disheartening to see him standing in the heavy rain even though there was no incoming vehicle. He did his job diligently verifying our stay when we rode our rental motorcycle into the resort. I would like to commend him (18/8 at PM) for his excellent work even though it rains heavily. The management could consider putting an awning/umbrella right outside the security post so that the officers could take shelter during unexpected storms or when there's no influx of vehicles entering the resort when raining. I hope my consideration will be looked into as the security officers are a key factor in ensuring the safety & security of the resort. Taking care of the security officers' wellbeing is also as important as caring for the holidaymaker's wellbeing. Thank you for reading.

Good view on the villa. Spacious and bright. So green territories.

1. Service. Service. Service. They allocated us on the villa A11 which is between two other villas which is under renovation and there was so noisy and no privacy as the workers was around all the time.

2. I was asking to get me a bike but they said that we have to go and find ourselves. FYI to walk to the nearest bike rental shop is around 1km by the road. Outside +35 a bit hot actually.

3. Waiting time for the buggy car 10 minutes…. Seriously

4. Staff speaking English so so bad. We tried to call to the reception with the purpose to ask them adjust the temperature in our pool. They tried to understand several times what do we need. In the end they sent two guys who completely don’t understand what to do.

5. Spa. Nice in general but overpriced for Thai. 9000 THB for two it’s a bit much for Thailand.

6. Beachfront a bit uncared. So many leaves which not looks nice.

In general the hotel is fine for few days but in my opinion not worth the price.

Exceptional! Stunning views, the warmest people, delicious food, a beautiful private beach, and a villa that supersedes all expectations! Paradise is a place on earth and it’s name is Banyan Tree Samui! Thank you for such a wonderful stay! We were on cloud9! The most stunning location set amongst a private cove. We went for a ‘partial sea view villa’ which included a large infinity pool. All of the staff were exceptional, especially the villa hosts. We highly recommend paying extra for a resort like this, as it’s SO unique.

I am glad I picked this hotel. It just stood out. The hotel facility’s and staff were amazing. The guide of the hotel was incredible as he took us sight seeing around the island. The luxury villas were amazing and the views fascinating. It was the best choice I ever made booking here.

I had never been so prompted by my disappointment with the resort to compel myself to write this review. Still, if you want to stay at a resort with a nice view and all the necessary amenities, then banyan tree is one of the places you can try, but if you are looking for a resort that provides the service worth its price, I suggest you look elsewhere.

Service is the main thing about the banyan tree, or lack thereof, making the whole experience a colossal disappointment. Right from the entrance, checking in was a hassle when the staff couldn't match the rooms, which we helped sort through, grouping our passports upon their request, yet they cant match their data themselves and asked us to check their information sheet together again ourselves.

Upon entering the room, I wanted to call the front desk to upgrade my room, but the phone didn't work. So the staff had to send someone to fix the landline, which took forever. For an hour and a half, we had no privacy to get ready to do anything as we had to sit and wait for the electrician to fix the landline.

Calling for transportation speaks to the underlying issue of how understaffed the resort is compared to other alternatives. It seems to take 5-10 minutes, a grace period the front desk has repeatedly told us, but they had always seemed to be pushing the limit. This is fine but ultimately sub-par when you're paying so much for a five-star resort compared to similar alternatives, four seasons, Conrad, etc. It's the little things that make a huge difference, and that is something this resort and the management need to work on.

The Saffron dinner place was so disappointing for its poor service and the quality. Some of the food was admittedly good, but the dessert was terrible; shamefully, the sticky mango rice, which is a cultural representation of Thailand, and served the rice uncooked and the mango super sour, cries for how the restaurant is well recognized and highly praised.

Lastly, the front desk service was the fuel to my fire. I ordered an afternoon tea set that day, and after we finished, I called to have someone cleaned up. No one showed, and I called again and again. I called four times and asked staff in person when we had dinner, and it was not cleaned until the next day. It was until I asked to speak to the manager but was told busy and will pass the message along promptly. I had to get angry to get things done here, which took away the relaxed experience I was looking for after flying for so long to the island.

On the first day, I walked into my room unsatisfied with the view I had booked, and I was already prepared to upgrade to their royal beach view the next day. However, the service I received from the beginning (starting with the broken landline to the poor attentiveness of the staff team) discouraged me from doing that upgrade as it seemed not to be worth the money if I was going to get the same service anyways.

Overall, a disappointing experience, and I will not be returning any time soon unless the management team decides to make seeable changes.

Incredible experience at the Spa, we did the Rainforest experience, boxing training and it was super refreshing. Gym was good and staff friendly at the Spa.

I recently stayed at this resort/ hotel and it was absolutely the best getaway experience I have ever had. The staff were very assisting and helpful, the environment is beautiful and well taken care of, and the beach and restaurants are amazing! I was very impressed!

Absolutely stunning hotel. Beautiful view, private pool and very nice and clean beach.
Snorkeling, stand up paddling and kayaking gear is free to use and you get driven around in little golfcarts because of the size of the area.
Breakfast has a very big selection and you can also order it to the room or a floating breakfast to your private pool.
Absolutely wonderful!

Only downside is, that it is quite far from either chaweng or lamai town and requires a taxi.
We walked back from lamai today, that was about 50 minutes. Was after sunset and a good digestive walk, but during the hot day, that's quite far.

I had a really happy time at Banyan Tree Samui. Their service is top notch. It was the friendliest hotel I've ever stayed in. The facilities in harmony with nature were so beautiful and wonderful. I will visit Thailand again to stay at Banyan Tree Samui.

Arrived on the 25th June with my wife.greeted by an extremely friendly guest executive, Nan.she just makes the start of our stay at Banyan expectantly pleasant and wonderful.
I am sure our villa has one of the best views at the resort.it is amazing!
We stayed 5 nights… and never had the time to leave the resort!
We had in-villa dining, dining at the restaurants. Spa… and also time to have a good rest and break FROM the horrible 2+ years of lockdowns!

Banyan Tree, being highly reputable, everyone definitely expects nothing short of the bests!
Frankly… coming out of a crazy time of pandemic lockdowns, BANYAN TREE definitely puts its best foot forward.

Every staff, bent over backward, to make our stay a very pleasant and enjoyable vacation!
