Ananda Villa

We booked for two nights for a price of 2400 baht. The place is not the same room we booked. Although the accommodation (cabin) is spacious, it is not wonderful, it does not have enough furniture to put our things and the service does not include breakfast. At least it has air conditioning and a good location. We have paid less for much better places.

We booked a completely different room than the one they upgraded us to. It was somewhat INHOSSPITE. The only good thing was the location quite close to the pier. Otherwise, I would not book here again. Neglected, not pretty, poorly furnished, an extra bed disassembled. Expensive if we compare price/quality, it also did not include breakfast. We paid almost the same elsewhere and the conditions were totally different. Hopefully someone else can have a better experience.

Pros: View is amazing and worth the price, close to the pier. Cons: no hot water in the shower, and most importantly:
Unfortunately, when we checked out the receptionist decided we had to pay 1K baht for scratches on the motorbike we didn't cause! She did the same thing to another tourist a few minutes before and talking with her didn't help. We paid it since we were in a rush and didn't want to make a scene, but it's very disappointing to leave ko Tao with such a bad taste.

First of all, the staff here are incredibly kind and helpful. We made a mistake with our booking and took one night less than we needed. They helped us find a hotel for the night (there was a holiday that day and a lot of places were fully booked). They then arranged for their car to take us to the new place and were just so kind about the whole situation (we hadn’t cleared our room and they didn’t charge us extra or even get mad that we overstayed).

Other than that the place is lovely, great diving with black turtle also. Super easy to get to from the pier. And again just super kind helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel was recommended to us by our diving center "Black Turtle Dive" because it is right next door. The rooms are beautiful, large, clean and bright. We felt comfortable from the start. In combination with our diving course it was perfect for us. The hotel is located near Lomprayah Pier and Sai Ri Beach can be easily reached in about 10 minutes on foot. We felt very comfortable and would come back at any time.

We needed a local place to the pier and this was just a few mins walk (so as we were exhausted we were so grateful for it's location.
The receptionist helped us with local tips and taxis and with our bags. I even needed salt for gargling (was run down) and they brought that for me too.
As a room- for the price it’s great- it’s clean and simple. Didn’t get hand towels as advertised. The view from the room is lovely- bed is comfortable and I am glad we stayed here!

Incredibly welcoming and helpful staff, always smiling and kind. Rooms are a bit tired but they are very clean and the housekeeping is great. Beach towels provided in addition to room towels. Kettle and coffee tea etc and a mini fridge. No safe or hairdryer in case you are wondering. Breeze restaurant is spot on for any meal. We had breakfast there every day pretty much. Hotel adjoins Black Turtle Dive school. We will be back for sure. Perfect location in town and everything was 10/10. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

People at the reception are unbelievable: nice, good listener and so helpful.
I have been happy in my bungalow surrounded by cockerels, chickens and chicks and trees.
Good bed and fan.
Actually, it is closed to the shops, restaurants and bars.
The cleaning is also very pleasant.

30 minutes walking, you can dance and have parties.

To be renewed or painted: inside the bungalow could give a plus.

We stay had a wonderful stay at Ananda Villas. We stayed in both the bungalows and the rooms and they were great.

We stayed in a bungalow. It's a bit run down. No TV in the room. Bathroom smelled quite bad. I booked for 8 nights and they would not let us change the reservations at all.
We found a much nice hotel on the island for about the same price.

We like Ananda Villa very match, everything is good - the staff, the rooms, the location, the bungalows, the restaurants. We stayed 10 times in this hotel already and aloise feels so well, so the next time will stay also there.the best place on Koh Tao, we recommend

They accommodated me in every possible way, and it sits right on the beach so it's beautiful. There's also great food from the restaurant breeze which I ordered to my room. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed in bungalows before the ananda villa, and it was such a relief to finally sleep in a normal place.after the bungalows, finally a clean room, comfortable bed, clean bathroom.the accommodation is modern and beautiful.they give everything! Towels for the beach, umbrella, safe, shampoo, cooler, etc. The view is fabulous and the staff is very kind. Very good price:) If I could give 10 stars, I would!

We loved our stay at Ananda. We booked a superior AC room for 4 nights, and paid around 1000 baht per night.
As far as value goes, this place is hard to beat. Right next to Black Turtle Dive, beach front, 2 minutes walk from the ferry and so many good food options in the area.
When I come back to Koh Tao, this will be our first stop

Right on the pier, which was important during heavy rains.
Huge seaview balcony.

Quite expensive for the quality you get.
Room is very basic.

Overall I would sleep again.

Nice resort on the beach, 3 minutes walk from ferry pier. Staffs are polite and friendly. Room is very clean and all with balcony.

Great location near the pier and directly on the beach. 2 restaurants to choose from. Lovely helpful staff at reception. Also a diving shop right in the hotel.

Our stay here was great. The staff helped clear a lizard from our room when we first arrived. The room was spacious, clean, and in a great location - close to the beach, shops and dive schools. The restaurants on the site are great too and offer a variety of foods. Would definitely recommend a stay here

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, near the beach, clean, near to pier, near to restaurants, the one cross the street offer great thai food while the one downstairs offer great sea view. Has TV with HDMI so I can connect to my own device.
Good value of money.

Can be improved: water stream for shower is too small. 2 of the 4 pillows are not as new as the other 2.
