Le Du is located in a small residential alley. Its humble facade hides one of the best restaurants in Bangkok. Dishes are well executed with a delicate balance of subtle flavors. The service is informal yet attentive, and the ambiance is smart casual. Le Du is great without pretension. Chef Tassanakajohn is undoubtedly one of the rising stars of Thai / World cuisine. Highly recommended fine dining experience.

Le Du is an avant-garde Thai restaurant serving 5 to 7 courses fine dine menu. Ambience is casually stylish, most of the dishes were nicely prepared & tasty.

High expectation but disappointing experience. Ingredients are very common basics. The taste is nothing impressive either. I actually felt tied after the squid (super sweet appetiser, not the natural sweet you get from high grade sashimi). Prawn is another disappointment. Greasy and no texture at all. Thai wagyu absolutely lacks flavour.

I am really disappointed by fusion restaurants nowadays. Lots of top 50s in Asia are nowhere close to the standard.

Menu is not available on the site, when I called for a booking they told me my food restrictions could be accommodated, but apparently not - and they wanted to charge me a cancellation fee for leaving

The food was good. It wasn't the best but I think for Micheline star restaurant their price point is somewhat low and the food was at an acceptable level. We went for a 6 course menu and we left quite full. In addition they serve 4 different amuse bouches in the beginning. The main desert was delicious but the petite four desert was very plain and then the saddest plate of fruits have been a very underwhelming end of the dinner. But overall food was very decent and some tastes were certainly new and interesting.

But what has really been disappointing is the service and the interior design. The service wasn't awful in the general sense of it but for the Micheline star it was truly horrendous.they didn't present the concept of the restaurant (which is really interesting: creating new menus for every season and focusing on Thai ingredients and flavours but making it in a french style). And i've really tried to make them talk, i have asked them questions. NOTHING. I had to tell my friends about the concept because i seemed to knew more from simple googling.

I worked as a waitress in a mid-tier restaurant and I have put WAY more soul and joy in presenting the menu and the concept.

They were presenting dishes very quickly, just running through ingredients and running away (the restaurant wasn't at the full seating, so there weren't SUPER busy). I don't know why the chef doesn't train them more because the whole idea is getting lost.i thought maybe it's a language barriers but i didn't notice any different at the tables with local patrons.

And the interior is truly underwhelming. The tables are close but that's fine, i could possible dig it. In Paris for example, even in fanciest places, people sit almost on top of each other.but the design is just boring, cheap, furniture of a low quality and just so plain.no idea, no concept.

An unapologetic love letter celebrating Thai flavours and Thai ingredients. We enjoyed Chef Ton's the Rain Edition tasting menu which delivered punchy flavors at different levels of funk that challenges and excites ones palette. The standouts were the cold appetisers. Oyster tartare with pork lard folded in nestled on an ethereal cloud of scallion sauce (perhaps a play on ohjian?). The magic touch to the crab w shrimp paste icecream was the crispy holy basil that contrasted the dish brilliantly with little punches of flavour. Across the whole meal, the sauce work was simply divine.

I came with expectation because of the Michelin rating. But I began to doubt Michelin quality and professionalism.

Professionalism: need attention and improvement
Some could explained pretty well, some just ok. 2 star because the food served with MISSING ingredient. Served wrong table once!

Food taste: no surprise
Only 1 dish I really like. The rest just no big deal. Some even served with 3 types of sauce, you could hardly taste the food correctly.

Presentation: disappointing
Colorful plate, colorful sauces (1 - 3 sauces), lose focus and you don't even know what to look at.

Michelin is overrated, I followed Michelin guideline to hunt for food, but most of them below expectatio.

Not worth going. The dishes tried to be original and creative but it honestly was not good. For one Michelin star, you expect better quality ingredients, plating and service.

Wonderful and positive experience in this Asia Top 50 restaurant.
Try their signature prawn, indeed good.

Having recently been announced as Asia's 4th best in Asia's Best 50, we had high expectations for this place. Chef Ton and his team at Le Du truly deserves all the acclaim and we would not be surprised if Le Du were to earn its 2nd if not it's 3rd michelin star in the near future. From its creativity in the dishes, commitment to sustainability, utilization of local ingredients and the training of all its staff, everything combines excellently for a memorable dining experience. The food is great but the service makes it excellent. Bravo Le Du.

One of the restaurants in Bangkok with Michelin star and also in the top 50 restaurants in Asia list. Location is very accessible because its very near to Chong Nonsi BTS station.
The food was pretty enjoyable and there were a few dishes which were quite memorable. The meat dishes were pretty good, like the Ant Larvae, Lobster and the duck. Some of the items looked kinda flimsy which actually didn't give an impression that I was dining in a fine dining restaurant, like the tart shells which looked of inferior quality and the serving of the watermelon which actually gave me a "shock".
It's nice to see the Chef Ton walking around and serving dishes to the guests but kinda weird he isn't in the kitchen monitoring the quality of the food served.
The restaurant is not very big and the tables are quite close to each other, the place is also very packed and it's kinda out of the norm for a fine dining restaurant to be so noisy. Customer service seems to be lacking also, there wasn't people who come to open the doors when you arrive and leave the restaurant.

I was at the restaurant last night with my fiance (May 20,2022 @6pm). Let me start off by saying the food was delicious, creative, and unique. After reading reviews and with the food off to a great start, I had high hopes and expectations.

The experience took a turn for the worse when we decided to go with the 6 course wine pairing at 2000THB each person. From the first wine to the last, the tasting just got worse and worse. The staff came by asking how was everything, I told her I did not particularly like the wine by the second pairing. The poor quality of the wine was detracting from the culinary experience and enjoyment of the food. The staff said she will let the chef know.

The third wine tasting came out and was even worse.my fiance and I did not drink more than one sip. The 4th glass came out. Waitress came by and asked how was everything- I mentioned the dissatisfaction with the wine. She said she will let the chef know again. Now we are almost near the end of the meal and have left nearly all the wine on the table un-drank. The staff clears the un-drank wine from the table.

All subsequent wine pairings grows our disappointment. We still haven't heard anything back regarding the wine. At this point we just stop drinking any of it.

The check comes and I place my card for payment- I tell a different waiter that the wine was terrible and barely drank any of it. The waiter says hold on he will check with the management for me. The first waitress which I complained about the wine brings back the receipt with my card already charged for the dinner AND WINE. I ask her about updates since this is my 4th complaint. She says she told the chef earlier but he already left so she can't do anything. I asked if he said anything and she replied, "He said he is sorry for your bad experience we will take this into account for the next time. " I asked so that's it? I complained about the wine over an hour and a half ago, the chef decides to leave, you never give me an update, and at the end charge my card for it. (wine pairing alone was 4000THB or $125 USD). She repeats her answer and says sorry the chef left for the day and she can't do anything and already informed the chef and owner of the restaurant.

As a Michelin star restaurant, I am extremely disappointed with how this was dealt with. The wine was disgusting and of such poor quality. It tastes like $3 wine out of a drug store. I can get better wine out of 7-11. To be a Michelin star restaurant, the service, ambience, and food have to meet a certain standard. The food definitely met the standard, but sadly the service and lack of attentiveness to an ongoing issue is awful. How can the chef and owner leave the restaurant knowing there has been a complaint that has not been addressed. After 4 complaints I had to ask if there was any solution yet.and the answer was "I'm sorry sir the chef has already left. "

I hope this feedback makes your restaurant better for the next patrons. I certainly will not be returning. Also want to note that the couple seated next to us, shared the same experience and left much of the wine un-drank.

I was very satisfied, the kombucha pairing was amazing and the aged duck was fabulous. Vibes there are amazing!

Not recommended for the price.
Food is at the edge of being michelin 1 star. The service and environment is not. Table too close ans noisy room. Waiters are in panic and moving around freneticly. Clearing station in plain sight and noisy cutlery feeling like school cantine.
There is potential good view on kitchen but with a single table just in front you just look at someone else eating.got to work on the scenery.

Not bad but was below our expectations! Ingredient was Normal and kind of street food quality. And taste was so so. And our main course duck was below average!

So impressed with the food and service. I came with my son who has had many michelin starred meals and he was impressed too. I like that the food was very authentically Thai, while so much attention and care was put in every detail and the dishes were elevated to a new level of sophistication. The service was superb and I got a complimentary birthday cake because they found out it was my birthday from the reservation!

One of my favorite fine dining destinations in Bangkok.

Prawn dish is the specialty. Can’t miss.

Ranked 4th best restaurant in Asia, Le Du surprised and inspired with every bite. We were presented with a 6-course Thai fusion for THB 3590, it's probably the most value you'll get for a Michelin restaurant. For that I think certain other formalities associated with most other Michelin restaurants can be overlooked. Don't get me wrong, the service was very good but strictly speaking, not every box is ticked for Michelin standards. But to each his own and I enjoyed the coziness and ambience of a more casual setting tremendously. It's honest and unpretentious and I love that.

Even before the commencement of the menu proper, we were treated to a selection of three amuse-bouche that were delightful to the eyes as much as the mouth.

The most memorable dishes of the evening has got to be Ant Larve, Squid and Signature River Prawn which you need to order separately for THB1000 (It's good enough for 2 to share). Lastly as a tip, the duck is served closer to medium-rare so for those who prefer something more well-done, inform th when ordering. Overall, I'll recommend it as a must go if you're visiting BKK.

Thailand summarized in 6 exceptional dishes (plus a few smaller things). Relaxed atmosphere and superb cuisine. I would've eaten two or three serves of every dish. I can't recommend Le Du enough. A must if you like Thai food. Worth the trip to Bangkok.

Excellent service and good food. What could be improved is the wine pairing - there are 2 or 3 Dishes that are served without a pairing and some of the wines don’t fit at all with the food.
