Le Du reviews
76The food and service was exquisite. The presentation of the door was exemplary. I would highly recommend making a reservation and trying the dinner menu. They even had a vegetarian menu. Portions may be a bit on the small side, but overall I was very impressed.
Definitely one of the cheaper Michelin Star restaurant around.
Went for the 6-course tasting menu. Honestly…. Not impressed.
Will I be back? No.
Not a single dish wowed me or my partner. I have had ribeye that tasted better than the Wagyu that they offered.
Left wondering why is this the No. 1 restaurant in Asia for 2023?
Oh… the coconut ice cream with mochi dessert was probably the only dish enjoyed by my partner and me.
Why a 4-star when it disappointed me? For the No. 1 restaurant in Asia, their constant rating should be 5 stars. 4 stars is already an insult.
The food is good, the service is good, the floor is too low and noisy! There is no decoration, the tableware is relatively boring, and some of them are a bit crumbling! Asia fifty. First place. Should be able to do better
4 items + 5 signature items, kombucha pairing.
It was a modern take on traditional Thai cuisine, and it was a stylish dish with a hint of spice.delicious.
The risotto was delicious.
The higher the expectations, the greater the disappointment.
The restaurant looks like a vegetable market, and the food seasoning is also very mysterious. For a restaurant that costs 6,000 baht plus tax on 6Courses, the standard of lunch is really disappointing.
Very good, inexpensive, noisy because it's on the side of the road but it's mouth-wateringly delicious.one of the best restaurants we've ever been to!
Food was great, service was attentive and the atmosphere was wonderful. Super nice experience in the buzzling city of Bangkok
A famous restaurant that was ranked 1st in Asia's Best 50 Restaurants 2023.
The impression was "sophisticated Thai cuisine. "
Does it look Italian? French? However, there is always an element of Thai food somewhere.
We were given a pairing wine that would go well with the spicy Thai food, and it turned out to be quite a hit.
I think it would have been even more fun if I could speak English.

I recently dined at LE DU Bangkok, the 2023 Top 1 of Asian Best 50 restaurants, and I must say, I was quite disappointed with my experience. While the food at LE DU Bangkok did meet expectations, it did not go beyond that.
Firstly, considering the fine-dining prices, I expected a more intimate and private atmosphere. However, the restaurant fell short in creating a truly exclusive ambiance. The lack of privacy affected the overall dining experience.
Furthermore, the service was inconsistent. While some servers were enthusiastic and attentive, others seemed disinterested and provided robotic presentations of the dishes. This lack of alignment throughout the meal was quite noticeable and detracted from the overall dining experience.
One of the biggest letdowns was the wine pairing. Not only was there a lack of explanation regarding why certain wines were chosen to accompany specific dishes, but a lack of wine serving common sense by combining two bottles of same wine into a glass in front of the guest was simply unacceptable.
Overall, despite its accolades and reputation, my experience at LE DU Bangkok did not live up to the high expectations. The lack of a private dining atmosphere, inconsistent service, and disappointing wine pairing left me feeling underwhelmed. I hope the restaurant takes these points into consideration to improve the dining experience for future guests.
Such an amazing dining experience! We went for the 6-course tasting menu, and it was totally worth it. Lots of fresh seafood, with subtle yet powerful Thai flavours, and cool touches like a homemade sriracha. Great wine pairing too, with some interesting combinations. Would 100% recommend!
Dear guys please don't give a review from the telegram channel, they are foolishing you
I I never been in to this Hotel, I'm saying sorry with two folded hands, this review is to give awareness for some persons
I tried only few michelin star restaurants. It's my fault that I chose this place. For all 6 courses, I'm not satisfied with any of them. Taste is not so good. Basic ingredients (also low cost) but high price.
This is the fourth place restaurant among 50 Michelin stars in Asia.
I highly recommend to go.
You will experience an amazing taste with a fresh texture in your mouth.
Compared to other 1 michelin restaurants though, Le Du was a little bit of a let down. The dishes were creative, of high quality and prepared well, but we were missing the story and the connection of each dish that was presented to us. The balance of the meal in totality missed the mark for us.
Overall we had a pleasant experience at Le Du. Food was served fairly quickly and staff were attentive. We opted for their 6 course tasting menu.
Underwhelming experience. The meal started well with some appetizing starters and it just went downhill from there. In comparison to some other lower ranking restaurants in the Top 50 Asia Restaurant list, I am puzzled how Le Du can rank at no. 4.
We ordered the 6 course meal plus their signature river prawn dish with wine pairing, hoping that by ordering the best we will get the best experience. However after every course, I have to keep telling myself ok let’s hope I can be surprised in the next one. Then again and again, it’s the same plating, same idea and similar palate with just different ingredients. It just cannot break out of its mould, trying to fit into a Michelin star persona of pouring sauces in front of you, dotting other sauces around the plate and placing nice little edible flowers everywhere.
Yes do this in maybe 1 or 2 courses, but surprise us with more creativity please.
And the worst was it’s main course Thai Wagyu, the meat was tough, yes tough wagyu is almost unheard of and let’s just say I was completely disappointed at this point.
Overrated unfortunately. Had the 6-course menu and the fish dishes were solid but like others said a bit too much sauce on everything instead of just letting the ingredients shine.
My wife and I did the 6 course tasting menu. Everything was absolutely amazing. They are curry masters. All of the sauces were spectacular and left me craving a lot more. There was enough food with the 6 courses to leave me happily full, but not overstuffed. The service was excellent and everyone was incredibly happy and nice.
I tried the tasting menu, mostly were fine. I enjoyed the starters, oyster and dishes before the main course. The sauce used in most of the dishes were very interesting too. The famous big prawn was a little disappointing, it has a very light taste. Not what I expected.
You are not required to wear too formal here.
We went for the 6 course menu and it was “curry strong”; 3 dishes had fish broth/curry. It tasted good, but I had hoped for a more varied flavour. Overall, we had a pleasant experience.
