The BJJ had a full class compare to the Muay Thai which I did a free class (first visit). It was more like a cardio workout. No feedback at all on technique or learning moves. Trainers show very little interest in you where I notice the same for other students! Customer service at the desk is excellent as well as online! From what I could see, I would recommend the BJJ but not the Muay Thai.

Nice facility, easy to find - close to the train station. Staff were friendly and helpful. BJJ teaching was good, good rolls. Tasty vegan restaurant upstairs.

TL; DR: Do not go to BFL for Muay Thai.

First. The gym looks nothing like it is on the photos (as for Jan, 18). There is a huge reconstruction, you have to enter the gym from the backdoor are which looks like.construction site. There is only one ring (temporary?), which trembles while you walk (!) so you can imagine how it feels when you try to do your kick series.

Second. There is no ‘no pain no muay thai’ atmosphere in the gym. Truly speaking there is no atmosphere at all. The classes are very similar to what you can find in western fitness centres: the trainer will guide you through a series of exercises, you will be burning calories, probably learn something, but will it be an *experience*? Nope.

As for the trainers. I met three of them: The Young, The Old and The Chubby. It is only The Chubby who tries to show like he gives a damn about what you do during the session. Though he feels ok siting at the edge of the ring and eating his egg rolls (have never seen such a disrespect to the training process). The other two speak little to no English (which is a usual thing for Thai trainers) but what is unusual - they show zero interest in what you are doing and how you do it.

Importan: this relates only to muay thai classes. I saw MMA session - the trainer did great job, the guys were working very motivated and were really pushing their limits.

Last thing.

The very first sign that something is wrong with the business in Thailand is when you are being asked ‘Do you want to pay now? ’ after you’ve spent just 2 minutes talking to a guy at the reception desk. Will never fall for that again.

Good thing to mention. There are some good guys in the muay thai group, Zhang and Brian - cheers and thanks for sparing!

Have been training Muay Thai at Fight Lab for a few months now. It is a great facility with good and friendly trainers. All interactions with trainers and staff has always been pleasant. Everyone always seem to have a smile on their face, and enjoy what they're doing:)

They also offer BJJ, MMA and Boxing classes. Training Ground (which is a cross fit gym) is also located in the same facility.
