Yam's Kitchen

Visited Koh Pha Ngan for 2 nights (full moon party). Read the incredible reviews of this place and after eating there, I definitely agree! We had every meal at Yam’s because the food was so tasty and affordable. My favorite was the coconut curry, which I got three times in a row!

The atmosphere was great. The restaurant is located along the beach, so we could watch the waves come in. The staff are very friendly, although the service can be slow since I think there’s one cook and one waiter. We waited around 20 minutes for a menu, but we didn’t really mind:)

Unfortunately, the Thai omelette with vegetables was disappointing. It was filled with sweet sauce and unfortunately bore little resemblance to other Thai omelettes I had in Thailand. I found the price of 100 baht including rice to be quite expensive. The atmosphere is great and the owner is very friendly.

Beautiful location of family run restaurant, with very tasty food and wonderful peaceful atmosphere - highly recommend!

One of the best thai restaurant of our 5 month trip, if not the best. The people are lovely, the food is outstanding and the view on the beach and palm trees is amazing. We came everyday for a week both lunch and dinner. The mashed potato with chilly chicken is out of this world.

A tiny restaurant by the beach, possibly in the family’s backyard? Lovely service and a great Phad Thai.

The food is really delicious and very chill restaurant on the beach just order the food first and just walk down to watch the sunset on the beach is the best

Unfortunately it was closed but we met the owner which is suuuper nice and warm hearted. The place was closed due to corona but worked on to open again in next days.

You can expect really delicious food and fair prices and as well support the family owned business.

Yam’s an excellent chef. The chicken chili with onions is delicious even as a vegetarian option without the chicken. We ate here everyday (sometimes twice a day) during our week on the island. Amazing portions and great prices!

You haven’t really been on Koh Phangan if you didn’t go to Mama Yam.
Srsly - never had such a good price / value ratio with anything in my life. We love you Mama Yam️

It’s a beautiful quiet restaurant with lovely sea views and the lady who runs the place and cooks the food is very charming and friendly

This restaurant has a fantastic beach view and it plays such beautiful soothing music. We were so charmed, we came back a few times. A plate of food here is around 80 - 100 THB and the portion size is generous. One of my favourite restaurants in the island.

I like the spring rolls generally, and these here were the best I have ever had. The green curry with chicken is also very good. The prices are quite low.
The coast is calm and really beautiful.
The nicest restaurant around and Mama Yam is really kind.

Delicious, it was late and I wanted to eat a sticky rice with Mango so the lady did prepare it for me.it was really good and portion very big. I could not finish it. The rest of the dishes looks as well incredibly delicious. I recommend it to everyone.

Almost everything on the menu is extremely good. We came here at least 5 times and almost cried when she was closed on our last day.
