WEST COAST VIEWPOINT reviews
17Beautiful view! Started from the road.pretty steep all the way to where the path start.but 100% worth it.you have to pay 100bath to go to the final view point & you have a free drink at the little restaurant.do it!
Amazing view! Steep sealed road to the lookout but worth it. Very nice cafe. You can sit in the nets that hang over the edge and admire the view all day.
Very cool sightseeing point, especially when you walk through the two rocks and see the view to the coast and ocean!
As there are plenty of pictures of the view, I made a video of the return drive (by motorbike) from the top to the main road. The first part is not a proper road but very well manageable by bike.
It has nice views, although 100bht seems too much to me for what it is. But hey, you do a little sport
The view is worth seeing at least once. Entrance fee is 100 baht and includes one drink. It is a good place to watch the sunset. However, there are so many mosquitoes that you wonder if this is okay at night, and they attack people without hesitation, so the food is expensive and not very tasty. Koh Tao is the whole place. There are a lot of mosquitoes.
Very nice viewpoint. You can easily reach it by scooter, but be careful: the road is steep and not entirely asphalted, so you should have a little experience. Sturdy shoes are recommended, but we also managed well in flip-flops. Once you get to the top you have to pay an entrance fee of 100 baht per person because it is a private path, but a drink is also included. It's only a 5 to 10 minute walk to the viewpoint. If you walk a little further (another 10 minutes up) you will reach another viewpoint with a different view. Not cheap for 100 baht, but it was definitely worth it
Beautiful view! 100B and you get one soft drink or small water.
The track is quite easy around 10 minutes.
Don't go there. We went through the forest and it was the most exhausting path i've ever taken. We arrived to the top and found out that we have to pay for the entrance. The guy told us it's a "5 min walk" from this point and it was a massive lie cause it was at least 20 min of a complicated path. The view? Not much was visible, mostly fogg. And yes, the owner is not friendly.
Such a cool viewpoint. Think it was the best on the island. The drive up is slightly sketchy in places due to the road it had just rained tho…. The walk from the main town was quite nice. End was in jungle tho. There was a 100 Bart cost to get in which was a bummer. Nice view tho
Der Inhaber ist maximal unfreundlich, ich kann diesen viewpoint nicht empfehlen!
Sein erster Satz war: it’s my land! Pay!
So etwas unfreundliches habe ich in ganz Thailand noch nicht erlebt. Nicht einmal hinsetzen darf man sich ohne sofort zu bezahlen nach einem langen Aufstieg.
A gorgeous view point lovely views of the east side of the island. But watch out for rains on Climacell or AccuWeather app because the rocks might be a bit slippery. You will have to pay 50 THB to visit the viewpoint.
Simply magnificent, the views are easily the best on the entire island. Don't waste your time anywhere else, I tried them all. There's the 100thb route and a free one on the other side.
Awesome views and really cool when you go through the rocks and pop out on a really beautiful ledge!
This viewpoint is nice. We can see Tao island and Nang-yuan island from here. Park your vehicle at the restaurant, take 200 meter walking to the point.
I would recommend to go there in the early morning (before noon). Not yet too hot, sun from the back, beautiful view and colours for taking pictures. During the day, early afternoon you have the sun from the front, it's very bright, colours do not appear as nice (my pic was in the afternoon).
Sunset should be very nice again, but make sure you bring a torch to safely find your way back again.
