Wat Plai Laem reviews
25 One of my favorite temples on the island. I often come here at night. Authentic atmosphere.
A great place for meditation.
Beautiful day and night.
Always impressive to be here. The monks here are very nice. This time there weren't as many fish to feed as usual. What happened
This temple has a huge Senju Kannon statue and a Hotei statue that are very photogenic. It is located near Big Buddha.
I learned later that the footprints of Buddha enshrined on the premises are also a highlight.
Not only the Buddha statues but also the decorations inside the temple are beautiful.
Really well laid out facility. Unfortunately I have to say that keeping them clean is somewhat neglected.
But it's definitely worth a trip
You really feel like you are entering the spiritual world
Incredible experience, simply stunning. I visited at sunset and was met with a perfect time for photography and a cooler less busy time. I did visit in October (off season) so expect busier times between Jan - April. Dress modestly and always be respectful.
Beautiful place, 100 per cent worth a visit. Learning that there is no admission fee was a nice surprise after all these temples in Bangkok where you have to pay for what used to be free
Not far from the Big Buddha. A variety of temples and statues to see. Good local craft shops and you can feed the catfish and terrapins.
Very beautiful temple, very colorful.
Several temples on the same site.
To see if the weather is gray.
This large water temple was one of the most beautiful excursions on Koh Samui, you can get there without any problems and very easily, there is a large parking lot. There are several temples on this site, the three highlighzs are probably the three bridges that go into the water and have huge statues sticking out. There weren't many people there so it was very pleasant and you can spend some time there as it's a very nice place. In the water there are fish and turtles, they even come out to the shore. A beautiful setting that I can highly recommend to everyone.
Great Temple to refresh your energy, having a lot of beautiful statue, located near the beach. The temple is very clean, and colorful, it's a must visit if you have some time in Koh Samui. Please come here to make your wish come true, some food and drinks can be located in the area,
Enjoy your time of visiting experience and blessings to all.
The largest temple complex on Koh Samui. In the center is the temple Plai Laem. On both sides, on artificial islands, statues of Buddhist deities. On one side, the eighteen-armed statue of the goddess Guanyin, on the other, the white laughing Buddha. Around the complex is water, just full of fish and turtles water. I recommend the wonderful frescoes in the temple.
Venerable Deity in Quan Yin/Avalkiteshvara. Unfortunately modern construct concerts Bodhisatva blessing nonetheless
This is a beautiful Wat. The grounds are rather large and there is plenty to see.
Be aware that there is quite a bit of construction on this part of the island. Be cautious getting in and out.
The most beautiful temple in Samui. Over there, have three styles of Architectures: Thai, Chinese & Hindo.
Beautiful temple near the water. Loved the 18 arm statur at this one, I've never seen anything quite like it at all the different temples I've visited around Thailand. A definite must see if you're on the island.
Nice that the entrance is free, easily reachable with scooter and car. But there is not a lot to see, we took just 20 minutes to see all of it, but nice architecture tho.
Was relatively quiet. The temples are amazing. Also saw a cat chewing on a mouse, which was disturbingly real and sobering
