Wat Maduea Wan

Small, unpretentious temple. Small challenge of climbing all the steps, unfortunately nothing extraordinary at the top. This is a less maintained temple.

Very pretty place and very easy to get too. Beware however if you are driving to it yourself, you can drive quite far in and we nearly ended up going to far into the grounds itself so take it steady. The steps are not hard to walk up, but good footwear is best as the paint can be a little slippery. There are monks here also so be mindful. Very pretty temple and I loved the written guides that were left with the donation boxes which teach you how to pray at the shrines appropriately, should you wish to do so, and giving a donation is good practice as well.

Nice temple. The climb up the stairs to the temple is impressive. Unfortunately, it's also manageable, so you can get through it very quickly.

Beautiful temple in the middle of the island. I wouldn’t say this is a place to go as a tourist but rather a place to spend time as a practitioner. There are good meditation spaces and welcoming monks full of love and compassion. If you do make it, please be respectful of the place.

I was slightly disappointed with this. Paid 40baht to enter and walked around the entire place within 10 mins. The jungle views are pretty to look out on once you’ve walked up the stairs to the temple/shrines but personally the temples alone were not all that incredible to look at.

We visited here it was hot and quiet no one to be seen, we guessed that because Ko phangan is a party island no one comes to visit the nice temples.

We loved it though, whole place to ourselves with peace to look around at the magical design of the place!

Would definitely recommend and it’s free to everyone.
