Vikasa Yoga Retreat reviews
58 Excellent choice for yoga retreat, this place offers everything you can possibly need for a relaxing time off from the busy life. From daily yoga classes (min. 4 classes, 1.5-2 hours each), private yoga and meditation classes, spa treatments, massages, healthy and holistic food/buffets, private beach, infinity pool, private bungalows/rooms (strategic distribution no one can peek in) and a view to die for! I stayed for 4 days and can see myself staying for much longer time. Highly recommended also for solo travelers, realign to yourself and the universe.
Note: due to the retreat is on the cliff not accessible for people with difficulty in walking up and down stairs (a lot of them) and hills.
Note 2: only point for improvement, the reception really need a lot more training and seriously improve on customer service and speed.
During our stay at Merit Hotel right beside it, we had a massage here at Vikasa Yoga Retreat & Hotel. Massage by professional masseuses was really nice. However, the best thing was the beautiful sound of the wave right below the cliff where the massage took place. It made an hour of massage a very special experience with true rest & relax.
We had dinner at Vikasa and it was great. The restaurant is very nice, clean, open and has a great atmosphere about it. It was completely full but we didn’t feel crowded as the tables are well spaced. My wife is vegan and loved the fact that there were many many items on the menu to choose from. She was spoiled for choice that it took her forever to final decide. She had the vegan burritos and she said that it was amazing. I, on the other hand, had the chicken burger and it too was really good. The staff were super polite and welcoming. The whole experience was great and we would absolutely consider going back.
Great Yoga retreat in a lovely location. Excellent restaurant with views out over the sea.
Beautiful setting and a great menu with lots of options, VERY healthy. Pricey for Thailand but a well deserved treat.
This place is great place to practice yoga and meditate. The yoga sala is very much soothing your mind and energizing your spirits in the middle of beautiful nature between ocean and mountain. I did yoga teacher training there and it was amazing experience in my life. Just come and do yoga and you will understand.:)
The food is healthy and nice and people are lovely. No need to explain too much.
Amazing yoga classes with the best view. The teachers speak very good English, are knowledgeable and very professional! I highly recommend doing yoga at vikasa!
I spent about 1 month at Vikasa, in february 2013, enjoying yoga, silence, incredible views. Yoga lessons were excellent, tasty vegan food, good accommodation & very talented teachers & trainers! Planning to become a yoga teacher & join Vikasa yoga teacher's training. Thank you, Vikasa guys, c u asap)
Vikasa yoga retreat is a great place to relaxe with the most amazing view. I do practice yoga for almost 2 years now and found new inspiration and great teachers here at vikasa. I enjoyed the restaurant and the great atmosphere. I'm thinking about coming back for the advanced teacher training.
Amazing place for yoga practice, yoga holidays as well as yoga teacher trainings and especially also for good food. The Vikasa Restaurant specializes in healthy food with lots of vegan raw food options, particularly supportive for yoga practice. The resort is beautifully built into the cliff, with yoga shalas overlooking the sea. The restaurant with its panoramic views of Chaweng Beach is unique on the island. Thumbs up for this place, it's a little gem!
Vikasa is superfood haven on the island! Too many good options on the menu too choose from, even the ice cream was 100% guilt free. We were on Koh Samui for a muay thai camp and this was a welcome change of scenery. Tranquilo and inspirational spot with amaaazing views. A reason to come back to Samui and book a yoga vacation!
Excellent place to do yoga teacher training in Samui. In addition to great teachers, the location and food were awesome. Highly recommended.
The food at the restaurant is very disappointing.went there once with my thai friend.the thai dishes were without taste, not authentic at all.there was a lot of staff but not organised and no one cared for us.during our stay we had to move because they repaired the fans.this should not happen during the opening time! The view is nice but that's it.one star
Excellent place for a yoga retreat. Food is healthy and delicious. Don't expect much In terms of entertainment. Yoga is the main stay of anything in Vikasa. All levels are welcome!
Fantastic view, great food. I haven't tryed the yoga classes but my gf said it was awsome. Will be staying here next time
In May '17 I undertook my yoga teacher training at the Vikasa in Koh Samui. The teachers are very knowledgeable and make everyday learning a pleasure.everyone working at the Vikasa is so kind, caring and truly lovely. The food is not only perfect but delicious too. I would definitely recommend the Vikasa and I personally will return for further training or even have a yoga retreat. Thank you Kosta for creating such an inspirational place and inspiring us:)
Love the amazing view at Vikasa Restuarant a must see when visiting Samui. The food menu is outstanding a vegetarians heaven
We booked 5 nights and had to stay for one more. The view is stunning, the accommodation is perfect and the food is great. Experienced yoga instructors and all around great time.
