View Point Resort - Koh Tao

Excellent service, there are staff who speak different languages, in our case Diego assisted us, super friendly and helpful.
In general, everyone is very helpful and provides transportation and even motorcycle rental.
We forgot a watch charge and they sent it to the next hotel

So, pool villa, what a great location. The sea view with sunset - Incredible…
We had this accommodation for 3 days.
Breakfast: Actually quite good, BUT: the Thai curry, you almost can't stop, it's so delicious.
In short: we had a great time here.
Mobility: Scooter is a must. It's not possible without it, as the hotel complex is a little out of the way.
Tip: be well prepared against mosquitoes and don't be afraid on the paths to your room at night. Everyone has survived so far.

Great resort with wonderful staff. The front desk staff were very helpful with answering many of our questions and helping us navigate the island. Breakfast buffet and restaurant food were amazing — the best food we’ve had on our trip! The garden view room had a beautiful view of the sea too. You can walk to the small town and nearby beaches. They are in walking distance to shark bay and the viewpoint hike which is nice for those not renting a motorbike here but wanting to checkout those attractions. We loved staying here and would come back!

What a stunning resort. Beautiful beach for swimming, great breakfast and a lovely secluded and peaceful tropical setting.
We had a garden bungalow, which was gorgeous.
Decent bathroom, and clean.
It feels like tropical paradise.
The staff were generally good and helpful.
The fly in the ointment - when we got back from breakfast at 8.15am, on check out day, staff were in our room moving our personal possessions around. It felt like an invasion of our privacy and I don't think it's OK for anyone but us to touch our stuff.
We had given ourselves that extra 15 mins to do our final little packing and be ready for transfer to the peir by their time frame of 8.45am.
It was completely unnecessary for them to grab our possessions like that.
I appreciate the help, but not without my permission.

Surrounded by nature, this hotel has all the comforts and has very helpful and attentive staff.
Breakfast is very complete and the restaurant serves a wide variety of dishes.

The five stars of my review will be distributed as the following:

1- the staff are really nice, i have been reading the comments where people say that the staff are rude. However, I have experienced a good hospitality from them and so did the other residents whom I have checked with. Therefore that’s 1 star they can have.

2- Breakfast buffet was basically leftover from last night with omelette, pancakes, and some waffles. Since I have never seen bolognese in a breakfast buffet before.
The food were not the best, and thankfully the restaurant had a good view to make you feel more comfortable with your morning bolognese. Therefore, that’s a star they are not gonna get.

3- Taxi service, as they offer a taxi service since the hotel is in the middle of nowhere and really hard to get to on a motorbike, the taxi service was did the job, drivers were really good too. However they charge per person instead of charging per room, which can be quite expensive if you’re staying with your family or for a long period of time. Therefore a star they are going to have.

4- Room, worst hotel room i have ever seen, so dirty, hair everywhere, insect net full of holes…. Etc.just a really bad experience. A star they will not take.

5- Insects, since the place is in the middle of the jungle, it’s normal to see insects outside your room, but having cockroaches, crickets, spiders, ants, flies and mosquitoes with all their kind inside the room is not acceptable. To walk in your room and find cockroaches on your bed, then crickets in the bathroom and on your clothes is not normal. I have never had this much bites on my body before, as much as I had while staying in that room. Just a horrible experience

I think the staff are really good and that is what makes the most pleasant stay. They care about you. About location and room quality I agree with all the comments. Thanks again for being so nice to your guest. DIMITRI K

If I could rate this resort higher than 5 stars then I would!
We stayed at the tropical seaview villa and had the most harmonious and beautiful time there especially after travelling for 2,5 weeks prior to that- this ws the perfect ending
The resort is beautifully arranged and the staff are so attentive and caring

The resort is situated in a heavenly and quite scenery. Snorkeling directly in front of the resort is amazing with a diverse underwater world. The restaurant offers a lot of delicious choices (also for vegetarians). Room service is possible for some room categories. Massages are excellent and have a fair price. The complete staff is very motivated and friendly

Beautiful secluded spot with a little strip of beach access but a quick 10min walk to a larger beach. Quiet area in the trees with a great viewpoint for watching the sunset. It is a drive to the main pier/beach, but they have free ferry pickup/drop off and shuttles twice a day on Monday Wednesday and Friday.

The food is really good and a beautiful spot to sit and watch the sea, but it is a bit pricy as should be expected at a secluded resort. There is a little convenience store a couple min walk from reception where you can get snacks.

Also highly recommend booking a private boat tour to go snorkeling around the island.

Beautiful resort in the middle of jungles, surrounded with pure nature. Sea-front bungalows and great snorkeling part.

Easy to walk to Ao Chalok Ban Kao.
Several restaurants around Chalok.
Very surprised that smoking is allowed at breakfast. Spoils the environment for all the guests when there's plenty of other areas to smoke rather than at the table.

Beautiful facility and very nice view from the air-conditioned bungalow. The food in the restaurant "The Cave" is also very good. As expected, there is also a free shuttle from the pier to the resort and back. The local staff is very friendly and forthcoming.however: the staff at the reception is sometimes less accommodating than expected for the price. It is worth considering whether to accept this circumstance for the higher price range.all in all but recommendable.

I stayed at View Point with my wife in October and we couldn't be happier with our time there. The resort is so beautiful and comfortable. The room was great, food wonderful, staff friendly and helpful, beds wonderful, the list goes on. The great reviews are deserved.

The location isn't the most convenient from town, but we rented a scooter on the island (also recommend that) and it was easy to get around.

I highly recommend View Point without qualification.

Amazing views, great breakfast.
The place is a bit far away from everywhere but they offer a taxi service with a couple of free rides for guests (and still cheaper than the normal taxis).
Be aware that the place is on a hill side so if you're not able to climb a lot of stairs don't take the garden view rooms.

Absolutely fantastic. I have stayed many different places in the world, but the pool-villas at View Point will forever remain in my mind as something truly special, and is definately worth every penny. The quality of the breakfast is okay, but with a lot of room for improvement, and I found that the Thai-dishes from the restaurant were not as good as the "western-style" dishes, which is a shame, as I feel most visitors (myself included) wants the local food.

Love this resort sooo much. So quiet, relax. I really recommence to stay here butttt if you are not strong for riding the bike enough you have to consider. However, you guys will not regret to stay here for your vacation

Excellent hotel, the standard here is very high for a three star hotel. I would say that the staff are some of the most friendly people we have been served by during our travels. There is a good number of English speaking staff especially on reception which really helps!
The rooms are well equipped and the pool/private beach area is truely amazing. The only downside is the number of steps which may be a problem if your not very mobile.

This place is amazing, from the view to the nicely appointed villas. We are extremely happy with our experience so far. Not to mention the food and drinks are delicious! This place is great for anyone looking to relax and escape the hectic tourist areas.

We went here for a friend's wedding it is a breath taking place. Staff are very welcoming, pool villas are amazing! We spend 4 days here and did not want to leave, nothing has compared View Point, a must if you are staying in Koh Tao.
