Thongsala Pier (Raja, Lomprayah, Seatran, Night Boat) reviews
31It's a pier. You use it to get on your boat. It perfectly fulfills its purpose. There are some covered waiting areas on the pier as well.
Friendly Staff. Clean facilities. Sketchy boarding of ferries.but it's Thailand after all so you should already be "On The Careful"
Main operators Lomprayah, Raja, Seatran.
If you arrive in the late evening toThong Sala, you should book before hand the hotel transfer or take a shared pickup to your hotel/hostel. Price range 50-200 pax depending on the distance.
Motorbikes available from 150 to 250. Not recommend if it is your first time driving; hilly roads + dogs/ohter animals on the roads + light rain some times.
Lompaya, Raja Ferry and a few smaller operators go to Don Sak, Surathani, Koh Samui and Koh Tao. Toilets are available as well as some foodstalls with incredible nice thai food. A good place to spend a few hours as there are a few good views to explore here.
Well established ferry pier with organised access to other Thai islands via multiple ferry providers
Normal pier for car ferry. Bit of confusion for embarking. Went to the pier with our return tickets only to be told we have to go back to the office to confirm our check in which was next to the adjacent pier. Sun and rain covers were mostly damaged giving little protection.
A nice pier with 3 to 4 ferry companies operating from here. It has good space to sit and ATM's are there. Also small shops selling food exist here along with some street food vendors. It has got great views.
It's just a standard pier with ferries to the other islands, and to the main land. Beautiful view of the sea.
Not very nice pier, but good organisation. We traveled with Loprayah company and it was ok. I liked Pahngan free guide we got when we arrived.
