A gate (to Taling Ngam) with 2 real size elephants.
Just worth a picture!
The locals consider this gate as a spirits place (you can see offerings in front of each elephant).
The story tells that one of the Monks from the nearby tremble (1.5km after the gate) wanted more people to come to visit his village / temple, and asked for elephant gate to be built to attract tourists / locals attention and have them come over to Taling Nam village and temple.

A nice gate to look at, not much place to stop and park. It could use a lick of paint. And there is too much advertising around it

The gate itself is quite cool, but nothing other than an arch over a road. Great beach bar and restaurant down the road though! Got a taxi there ok, but struggled getting a Grab or taxi back as the road is so quiet!

Das Tor ist imposant, ein Stückchen weiter ist eine Tempelanlage mit einem mumifizierten Mönch, sehenswert!

It is a gate, pretty straight forward. Good marker to know when to turn to get to the beach

Concrete elephant gate. The roads behind it are to discover as they lead to magnificent beaches, viewpoints, hotels and affordable beach restaurants under the sunset.

Two huge statues of elephants carrying an arch over the small road that leads to a beautiful beach and to The Intercontinental Hotel. The Thais call it "Chang ku".
