19 Definitely worth a visit if you like hiking! If you do the complete loop hike you have to go up almost 300m which is quite a lot when it is hot and humid. It will probably take you about 1.5.to 2 hours for the complete loop. At the beginning the path is simple (but already steep). But then it is getting less good (specially if you follow the waterfalls). It is no problem to do it, just needs some energy and you should wear real shoes (not sandles or flip flops).
The waterfalls are not something very special, but there are pools here and there where you can cool down. So better wear your swimming suite.
The best waterfall is actually right at the beginning on the right side (Phaeng Noi waterfall). I talk about the one on the other side of the river, a little bit hidden in a side valley. You can walk there and stand directly under the waterfall which is about 30m. Very good to take a shower at the end of the hike.
See my photos and videos.
Highly recommend! It took me two hours for a spectacular walk in the jungle completely barefoot!
Not a well managed park. Watch out on the trail.on the way back after the vuew point you can get totally lost as trail is not well marked at all. Several hikers were lost at around 5 pm
Well, you caught up with the horror in the comments! Excellent trail. Gone in 1.5 hours. She's not complicated. Not dangerous. Everywhere signs, maps, ropes, railings. The paths are filled with sand and trodden. It's impossible to get lost. I agree only that in flip flops here it is inconvenient in places.
B100/person for a ticket but you can park a scooter for free.
If you park just a bit below you pay extra B20 to someone else ;)
Paths are ok even for flip-flop but obviously it's better to have good shoes
Have fun
Than Sadet National Park, where we walked the loop trail with Than Nam Rak Waterfall and Dom Si La Viewpoint, is beautiful. The park is extremely clean and there are some signs with information. The variety of animals and plants is impressive. Although the waterfalls were unfortunately not there due to the dry season (we were also advised of this before paying the entrance fee), we enjoyed our visit there and would repeat it anytime. The entrance fee of 100 THB per person was justified.
Came there at the end of dry season, so the waterfalls were not so impressive, as expected!
Beautiful hiking trail, took about 2h!
The nature is really impressive!
The smell and sound amazing!
Very nice trek in the beautiful jungle. In terms of difficulty, our 8yo daughter braved through it with a few stops along the way.
The paths are marked pretty well with tree signs. Took us about 2 hours for the whole thing.
Please note that if you arrive with a motorbike you can park freely after the first parking lot which charges 20B per vehicle. The entrance to the park itself is another 100B per pax. The trail itself is not an easy once. Took us 2 hours (almost 4km for the a circular route) to complete.
Please note that the trail is not well maintained and you’ll need to beware of broken steps, steep climbing and descend, slippery and wet rocks. Don’t wear flip flops or sliders as many tourists did, it’s almost impossible to do it and you put yourself in a risk of injury. Wear sandals, hiking shoes or trainers and bring a lot of water as you gonna sweat a lot. There’s a nice mountain top view and waterfalls with pools you can enter and cool down. We saw some monkeys on the trees as well and the jungle is nice and quiet.
Park where you can go in jungles loop trail. Had a great time, you can swim in waterfalls. We took around 4 hours with a lot of breaks.
100 Baht per person and Trail is dangerous, not maintained. See photos and videos. Many of the remaining steps are going to break soon and have already cracked. If you decide to go, make sure only to step on the metal support as otherwise you could really hurt your foot. Disappointing how this is managed and not maintained. Maybe increase the entrance to 200 B or more to fund new stairs? Also beware of the parking scam outside of the park, don't pay to park. Parking is free inside of the park. Staff was friendly.
เจ้าหน้าที่บริการดีมาก ให้คำแนะนำได้เป็นอย่างดี บริเวณโดยรอบสะอาด ร่มรื่น เสียดายวันที่ไปมีเวลาน้อยไปหน่อยค่ะ
If you like to hike, are fit and like flora and fauna it's the right place for you. It's nice to walk through the rainforest jungle while finding insect eating plants, crazy never seen plants with huge spikes oder spiders and ants. The sounds of the animals are great too. But you absolutely should wear solid shoes and bring enough water. It was one of the most exhausting hikes I've ever done (we did the full hike, not the shortcut one). Often you can barely see the path, its dangerous on the rocks and the state of the very few stairs is devastating. Absolutely not recommended for children and not fit persons.
Nice hike, I'd recommend going right to left instead of left to right for the circuit, the trail can be difficult to see otherwise, there are some sections where you need to use the rope,
Great hike, the main waterfall is at its best after rain (if you go when there hasn’t been rain for a while it will be dry) but the other steams and falls were great even though it hadn’t rained for a while. Lovely viewpoint that’s only about 250m up and not long to get to, the rest of the circuit takes a while but worth it. As with most trails in Thailand, proper shoes, repellent and water.
This for sure doesnt look like a good place for any of the animals here. Please consider if you really want to leave your money here and support the way they treat animals.
Had a lovely walk around the trail, took 3 hours with a swim Very beautiful and definitely worth it!
