SCAM! THE POOL IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION AND NOT USABLE AND THEY DON'T SAY IT! DO NOT BOOK HERE!

Located in Lamai by the sea, the Thai House is a human-sized hotel with good value for money.
The shopping street with its bars, restaurants, boutiques and massage parlors is just behind and you don't hear any noise, it's even rather quiet despite a little nightlife.
The rooms are spacious and functional with a slightly outdated decoration which deserves a little refreshment given current standards; Good quality king size bedding. The best part is the restaurant where breakfast is taken, which is located on the seafront and offers a beautiful panorama of Lamai Beach with the swimming pool on the side which, despite its small size, is sufficient given the structure of the hotel.
The staff is welcoming and friendly (always with a smile).
A small downside with the price of cocktails which are almost double the price of those in the city's bars or elsewhere on the beach. Otherwise it's a good address.

Unfortunately the pool is closed for renovation (for 5 days)

Luckily we were able to rebook and go to another hotel

Great friendly staff, good location in the city, but you can't hear the street noise, swimming pool, sunbeds on the beach, beach bar with good cooking, excellent breakfast. Possibility of renting scooters. Rooms older but clean. There is a net against jellyfish on the beach (like everywhere in Lamai), right next to the water ski rental. We spent 5 days here and it was great. Thanks.

We came to this establishment about 16 years ago! We returned there with great pleasure…
The hotel has certainly aged and needs a good refresh, but the charm is still there and the staff is very nice. It is a small hotel on a human scale, well organized and pleasantly decorated (especially the outdoor spaces). The ideal location and direct access to the beach are great assets.

Attention dear travelers.
If you book a Thai house front villa, of which there are 6 with beautiful photos of sea views, you will be disappointed! 3 villas (A, D and E) have a beautiful view over the swimming pool and the sea. (see photo). The other 3 you finally look at a large white wall (see photo) of the bungalow in front of you, you must look away diagonally to see some of the view. Price quality absolutely not correct. In any case, I won't be coming back here again

A generally nice hotel complex.
Unfortunately the rooms are very old. Old bathroom, worn wooden furniture.
The pool looks nice at first glance, but has serious safety deficiencies, such as a power cable hanging out of a missing lamp, missing tiles which were provisionally filled with a liquid mass and a loose suction grid which was only placed on top of the suction pipe.

The restaurant in the hotel is priceless and therefore poorly frequented.

At reception we were greeted by an unfriendly and unhelpful employee.

The best thing about this hotel is its central location.

Otherwise, other, newer and even cheaper hotels are recommended.

The hotel look pretty old but it’s really clean, they change your beach/pool towels every evening.

Buffet breakfast is so good, in hotels they often give you same dishes every day but not here, they cook something new every day, it’s always hard to stop eating)

They have super comfortable sun beds on the beach, and a net of jellyfish, seaweed and other in the sea right in front of the hotel, so if you planning to spend all of your vacation swimming in the sea it’s the best hotel on Lamai beach, and if you get tired of sun bathing there are a pool that almost always in shade.

Throughout the stay it smelled like the sewage outside, the opening is also at the pool. You can clearly see that the hotel is outdated and there is only moderate cleaning…
The food in the restaurant is good but could definitely be better. The male servers are MUCH friendlier than the female ones.
She seemed to work against her liking and everything we asked was too much for her.

Very good hotel right on Lamai beach. Nice rooms, large balcony, some with a sea view on the third floor.
Breakfast was ok. But it's better in Thailand. Wishes were always received. Price performance is right

Hotel looks a bit old and the breakfast might not blow your mind. However, the staff was lovely, the location very convenient, restaurant had good food, and the rooms are clean and spacious. Considering also that we came back from COVID relatively recently, I think this is a 4 stars.

Wir waren schon zum 2. Mal hier. Das erste Mal 2018 vor Corona und jetzt. Das Haus hat zwar immer noch einen gewissen Flair, aber es ist schon recht abgewohnt und würde eine Renovierung benötigen. Das Frühstück war ziemlich einfach, gab nur Toastbrot und eine Sorte Marmelade, keinen Käse oder Wurst. Man konnte zwar Eier ordern, aber es gab keine Abwechslung. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und bemüht sich um die Gäste. Kleine Reparaturarbeiten wurden sofort erledigt. Das war wirklich toll. Im Großen und Ganzen waren wir sehr zufrieden und würden wiederkommen, wenn sich alles etwas "normalisiert" hat. Das war fast alles leider Corona geschuldet. Wir hoffen, dass es jetzt wieder aufwärts geht.

Poor maintenance, dirty rooms, leaking toilet, garbage in hallway. Restaurant was closed in the evening, beach made a desolate impression.

Stunning spotless and great staff facilities excellent and any food you qant they will cater for you.

Close the Hotel, no information per mail even we booked in October 2 Rooms, no Refund, nothing, Careful dont book at this Hotel in the near future, its a trap!

Excellent place, direct view to the see, lovely staff BUT breakfast can be improved (not fresh juice, coffee really bad)

Ein sehr sauberes Hotel direkt am Strand von Lamai. Das Personal ist aufmerksam und freundlich. Unser Zimmer war himmlisch und die Poolanlage ist sehr schön. Das gesamte Hotelgelände ist toll bepflanzt und mit all den kleinen Bungalows sehr urig. Nur die Lage gefiel uns nicht so gut - mitten im Getümmel. Aber das ist rein subjektiv und einfach Geschmacksache.

The hotel management and staff are delightful! Everyone is kind and friendly.
Rooms and premise are very clean. The rooms are huge. They are a little dated, but my husband and I spent all day at the beach and exploring the islands anyways so we did not mind at all. There’s a lovely daily breakfast, with Thai and western food options, overlooking the beach. I highly recommend this hotel (especially to families) if you are staying in Lamai.

We booked and paid for an airport transfer. They didnt show and blamed us for booking it through agoda. They had no problem accepting the payment from agoda though. We feel scammed. I really still dont know how they got away with it. They handled it all so poorly. The place isnt that special. Do not trust your holiday to these people!
