Surat Thani Transport Station

This is Suratthani Transfer Bus Terminal. Terminal 2. I came here to go to Krabi, but there was a lot of touting. I ignored it and went to the outskirts and inquired at a travel agency. The price was 250 baht per person. It was a slightly larger bus, not a small minivan, so it was comfortable. Please use the timetable for reference only. They said it was a 10: 30 bus, but it left at 10. It took a total of 2 and a half hours to get to Krabi bus stop.

I had a successful experience, but be sure to check the price with different offices and get the real price from the person sitting behind the desk in the office.

I read some really positive reviews about this bus terminal in Rick James's tour guide book, and it did not disappoint. I travelled from Bangkok by bus (Bangkok Bus Lines VIP bus), and it took us here in a 9-hr jiffy. When we arrived at the terminal, we were greeted by a sumptuous 25 ticketing windows, 13 bus companies, and a really good Thai tea walla right outside the entrance (only 30 baht). A lot of forums talk about platforms 5 and 6 being the best of this station, but I preferred platform 10 due to the slick logo and rain cover tarp. The bus driver was also really nice here.

If you're going to travel by bus, I'd recommend this bus station.

They are all scammers here. Don't believe a word they sell fake tickets. Prefer to buy online or in the official places.

คนสูบบุหรี่ทั้งๆที่เป็นสถานที่ “ห้ามสูบบุหรี่”

อาการหนักมากๆ
ต้องได้รับการปรับปรุงบูรณะอย่างเร่งด่วน
กระทรวงคมนาคม ควรพิจารณาให้งบประมาณ สร้าง บขส สุราษฎร์ฯ อย่างเร่งด่วนที่สุด
เพราะเป็นจังหวัดท่องเที่ยวสำคัญ ของประเทศไทย

We take the local bus from train station 20B drop us in town.than you need go to other side of the road to take bus to Krabi, phuket. There are sooooo many different agency around, try to sell you high price ticket to Krabi. Pay Attention to anyone come to talk to you, what they want just redirect you to travel agency.

We arrived around 9: 30am didn't find big public bus, ask around some say no public bus anymore, some say only one bus each day 4pm. Not sure it's true or not.

Finally we find a driver wear a light blue uniform, drive a whait car which writr "Krabi - Surat Thani". Take two tickets from him 380B total. Leave at 12: 30pm. Don't know if there have other time also.

Otherwise check agency around out of the bus station some offer 250/pp with minivan leave at several different time.

Call it a scam station. No timetable or counter for public/Big buses. Plenty of minibus scammers running behind you and every minibus quotes different prices. After waiting for 2 hours and running in the circles around this station, we took a minivan to Krabi for 250Baht each. Check with operators about luggage size and price as they usually charge extra ticket prices for big bags. Shame on Surat Thani local govt for allowing such scams to run openly.

PS: Any local reading this review, please guide tourists by adding correct timetables and prices or public buses.

Dodgy looking station. Roads outside are in need of dire repair. Get your tickets only from inside the station. There is a booth with a sign that says "checking point" and there are counters behind that. The staff at the counters are much more honest. There is a shop across the checking point booth next to a speedboat sign that tried to scam me the days before. Trying to charge me 390 baht for a ticket I paid 200 baht at the official counter. She tried to give the excuse of the seats being sold out due to it being close to new year. My bus left the station with less than 10 people on board. No point talking with anyone outside. Just head in and look for the counters.

Roads need to be redone. Every ticket agent looks like a hole in the wall and hasn't changed in 10 years. However this is where you can find buses to everywhere you need to go and is an important landmark for tourists and locals

โดยรวมถือว่าดี เพียงแค่ถนนทางเข้าซอยเล็กรถวิ่งเร็วค่อนข้างต้องระวังนิดนึงในการเดินระหว่างทางเดิน
