Sunset Hill Resort, Koh Phangan

It was a wonderful experience staying at Sunset Hill Resort. The rooms were clean and the service was the best part of the stay. The staff is really friendly and helpful. It was my birthday and all of them took efforts to make it special. Elaine, Daw, Khine, Kierwin, Rein, Khun Kanit did their best to make our stay memorable. Definitely recommend this place for a stay.

Very good choice for the price, location is pretty OK but have a serious hill to get to the hotels, rooms are nice and big, pool is very nice with ocean view

Nice hotel. Let's just say they should improve the maintenance. The first night the sheets were stained and the management was unable to change them in the evening. The usual Thai management problems

The very nice rooms, unfortunately the staff is not up to serving customers, all the time on the phone, also the garden, infrastructure all run down and dirty, the sauna and the swimming pool also out of service

Excellent hotel! In a great location, quiet rooms and the hotel staff is simply excellent, I want to say a huge thank you to Elaine and Daw, Cath, Lilly.

Not bad for the price. The infinity pool overlooking the beach and sunset was the best part. The quality of room service food was also really good. The bathroom wasn’t the best though - smelly drain, half blocked wash-basin, and water wasn’t consistently warm. Otherwise friendly service, nice location and generally good experience.

This hotel is very outdated and needs renovation.
On top of that it is very dirty and definitely not a 4 Star Hotel.

It starts at the messy reception that looks like a wild office and it ends with the rude reception on the first day.
We booked a pick up from the pier directly with the hotel. After the pick up was 15 min late, we took a Taxi on our own.
When we arrived at the reception, the lady was giving us an attitude, because we did not wait for the guy, instead of apologizing that we had to wait…



-There are no towels at the pool, so you have to go all the way back and ask at the reception (as the cleaning staff forgot to put towels in our room)
-Our room was full of mosquitoes and geckos when we checked in
-When you take a shower, the whole bath room is under water
-Location is up a hill and really not easy t get down to the village
-They had kind of a external yoga and expression meeting for a few days. The room was above us and they were dancing, laughing from morning till very very late in the night



-We could rent scooters for 250 Bhat directly at the hotel, the delivered them
-Nice view
-Best sunset
-You can contact the reception via WhatsApp for taxi order etc.

Overall, it would be more a 3 star hotel that needs renovation.

We just went for the Spa and dinner. Very nice place with breathtaking view, nice sauna and cold bath. The staff was very friendly and the prices are ok.

The Hotel offers the best sunset view we had so far on our journey through Thailand. Amazing! The facility is not new, but very well maintained and clean. The staff is very nice, moreover, there were drinking bottles (no plastic) that you could fill up for free.

We had the most amazing time here. I would definitely return in a heartbeat. The staff were kind and friendly at all hours of the day and helped us with anything we needed straight away. Elaine went above and beyond to make our stay perfect, she was a superstar.
The facilities were wonderful, beautiful infinity pool overlooking the sea. Comfortable and spotless room. Yoga with a sea view! Delicious food! Thank you

It was so lovely and amazing that I can highly recommend sunset hill if you want to discover or even just relax in koh phangan! The stuff is unbelievably friendly and especially ELAINE she is very good organized and manage everything perfectly! I was very happy with my room the food is also really awesome! The infinity pool is wonderful to relax and the view is unique! Many thanks to Elaine you made my stay special!

This resort was everything we hoped for, plus some extras. The infinity pool is perfectly situated on a hill with a gorgeous view of the sea, the rooms are very comfortable and clean, my father loved using the sauna, the restaurant kitchen is visible and hygienic (I don't eat where I can't see the kitchen) and the food is delicious and fairly priced. Elaine, the manager, was extremely attentive to our needs and desires and made our stay easy, relaxing, relaxing, and fulfilling. The staff is very nice and personable in general, and I felt very at-ease the whole 6 nights we stayed here. 10/10 would stay here again.

The name of the hotel absolutely fits. We had some amazing sunset views from the hill, just by going on the balcony or going to the pool or restaurant!

The staff was really well trained and spoke very nice English. Any problem or wish we encountered they fixed for us. E.g; the room from the hallway was very bright and didn’t turn off at night for emergency reasons - they came and build a shade for the glass. All dark now. Perfect!
They where very attentive: the kitchen faucet was dripping. We didn’t say anything and when returned back, we suddenly had a new one installed. No more dripping. They just got it fixed. Very nice!

It was very nice and quite, except for the pool which had some hit music played- not so great. Why not play some nice cafe del mar Ambiente music? Would make the pool a beautiful experience.even more!

The restaurant was friendly, clean and very nice Food. We have no complains at all.

All in all, service, room, food, location = so great! We stayed for 2 1/2 weeks and miss it already.
