Slumber Party Hostel Koh Tao

We booked private room on Hostelworld and prepaid for 1 night, but they don’t count it and make you pay full price when you arrive. Room was so small I can’t open my luggage on floor. Bed was so squeaky and uncomfortable. Air con wind straight in your head, and if you turn off air con, room will be hot in few minutes. Location is good right on the beach, it’s the only positive thing in this hostel

I didn’t have a great experience here unfortunately, I’m not sure if it was particularly bad because it was crazy busy over new years and it was unmanageable but I did not like this hostel. The location was good, close enough to walk to everywhere and on the beach front but apart from that there wasn’t much positive for me. The beds don’t have any curtains so a real lack of privacy and are metal bunk beds so every time either you or the person below moves you feel all movement, the floorboards are very squeaky so if someone gets up to use the loo or comes in from a night out you can hear and feel the movement. I was there for 4 nights and the bathrooms and bedrooms don’t get cleaned, they empty the bins and bring new toilet roll but that’s it. When I arrived they had run out of towels so I had to go back and get one later. A girl in my room complained about the amount of ants in the bathroom but nothing was done about it unfortunately. Overall was disappointed with my stay here and if it wasn’t for there being no other accommodation on the island over new years I would have moved elsewhere

Way over priced for what it is, paid 900 baht for a dorm room per night. Not a very social hostel and there was no electricity or water in the room half of the time. Would avoid this hostel at all costs

Very squeaky beds but worst of all they keep your 500 baht (£11) deposit for even slightly late checkout with a rude receptionist guy. Pretty location but just expect them to take an extra penny at every opportunity!

I am just in love with this place right on the beach and perfect for an unforgettable sunset session. Team is cool, friendly. Just enjoy every minute there.

This place made Koh Tao for us. It’s the best hostel on the island and has a great balance of social, chill and group activities. Best hostel I’ve stayed in while travelling for the last 4 months.

Worst service ever! Would definitely not recommend this hostel. Rooms are dirty and they do nothing with complaints. They have different ways of trying to rip you of extra money! Have been traveling for the last 3 months and never had an experience like this. There is so much potential in the hostel but the service makes it terrible!

My absolut favourite hostel. Its not really a party hostel. Of course they have a bar, beerpong, happy hour, etc.but late in the evening its not really loud and pretty relax. But its so nice to wake up and beeing directly at the beach. We always book the private room number one. You open the door and look on the sea.

Charlie was brilliant at making me feel welcome! Just what you need as a solo traveller.
Facilities a bit lacking in some areas but generally great vibes and great value. Good cheap food onsite as well.

Dont know anything about the property but the place is great for watching sunset and the drinks were

Squeakiest beds ever and the floors bounce when anyone moves in the room so it’s hard to get a good nights sleep. Bathroom is also always wet from the shower and there’s no soap provided. Common area and location on the beach are nice but rooms aren’t worth the price.

Amazing island with amazing people! Favourite hostel and amazing party reps Alex and Nikola. The only thing I would change is adding beach chairs

I don’t get all the negative reviews and i’m picky. This place was great…very social, beer pong or games every night and volleyball on the beach. Plus the food was INCREDIBLE for a hostel. Props to the chef? Ignore the haters, book here and make some friends

Overall good experience, few issues with water but accommodation was clean and safe & the location couldn’t have been better. Would give 5* if it wasn’t for them fining us 500baht for drinking alcohol not bought from them. For a party hostel this was a bit of a strange occurrence.
