Silent Divers

I went for my open water certification while traveling from Thailand. My instructor Daniel was knowledgeable and did everything in his power to ensure my dive was comfortable. Its also worth noting that the dive sites were awesome in Ko Tao.

We had a very nice and unforgettable diving trip with Tom! We recommend. Thank you for your patience and the security you gave me

Thanks to the Silent Divers team and especially Rémy who were on top throughout the day. We didn't have to do anything, everything was handled for us from start to finish. The dives were very pleasant and the dive sites were great.

I just finished the open water course and obtained my certification. Can’t say enough good things about the crew and especially my instructor Eli.

This week we went diving with Laurens of Silent Divers.
We had 6 very nice dives with him. For a newbie diver like me (Margriet) he was the perfect divemaster! Helping me out with my gear, my (not yet but getting there) buoyancy or underwater how to respond to the quite strong current at Sail Rock (someone else will probably say it was nothing, for me it was)

He gave my husband and daughter, being AOW, the space to go deeper then 18 m.whenever they wanted to.

So a massive thank you to Laurens!

We went to Sail Rock twice and once to the Twins at Koh Tao

Overall we had a fantastic time! It's a very well organized diveschool with good up to date equipment and competent and fun staff!

The crew on the boat have the knowledge to help you get in and out the boat and help you with whatever you need. We enjoyed the time being on their boat so many thanks to them as well

As a beginner I took the Open Water Diver Course with Silent Divers and fully enjoyed the experience. The open water dives, online and swimming pool training, and the boat rides to and from the dive sites all contributed to a worthwhile Course. The instructors were good and enthusiastic in their approach and all staff were friendly creating a good atmosphere in the water, on the boat and on shore. Andy Cambridge.

Just the interaction I had via WhatsApp with the owner was absolutely awful I can only imagine the disaster if they behave the same way while diving.

I can see my review was taken down by the owner, probably the same arrogant spaniard I chatted with on WhatsApp.

Im very surprised about the recent Review from Tracy Stephenson because I had the best experience with the whole silent diver team & my dive teacher Craig.
I’m certified but didn’t dive for a while so I decided to do a refresher class to dive in Kho Tao.
Craig was my dive instructor & there was one other girl in my group who just finished her certification as an open water diver that day so it was her first dive in open water. Craig was so helpful to explain everything & answered all my questions already on the way there & made me feel very comfortable. Once in the water he took the other girl by the hand to calm her down because she had a little anxiety because it was her first time. It was so nice to watch how patient Craig handled everything & we all had a great dive all together & was a great experience. I saw a lot of colorful fish & beautiful corals. I had an amazing time & everybody from the crew was so sweet & helpful! I did another dive at Sail Rock like a week after what was awesome! Such a beautiful dive & so much incredible marine life! Thank you everybody from your team! Will be back this year & already so looking forward to!

The arranged transport to the meeting point which was great and the drive was relatively quick from our hotel in Koi Somui. The follow up from the admin office when booking was excellent as the dive had to be changed to a different day and this was arranged without any problems. But on arrival at the starting point, it was extremely busy.we were all allocated our diving guide that would accompany us on the dive. Our guide Craig (who was not employed but called in to assist when busy) seemed ok when he explained our dive and the site and what to expect but thereafter i found him off hand, uncaring and quite bombastic and impatient. I don’t think he even took time to know our names. There were 4 of us assigned to him.
I had not dived for 4 years and was a bit nervous and wanted some reassurance but his comments were “you are an open water liscenced diver” The boat was very full and busy and after that comment I didn’t feel comfortable. My dive buddy and i did our own checks and assured each other.
Our first dive was ok… visibility was poor and loads of divers from different boats all dive at the same time around this relatively small rock/dive site, so it’s busy. Divers above and below you most of the time.
Lunch was ok. We had it on our laps in the boat where our gear was.
I had relaxed after the first dive, although hadn’t warmed to our guide. I would have happily swopped and gone with one of the other guides who seemed really nice and took time to chat to me about the dive. Obviously o didn’t want to make it uncomfortable for anyone so stuck with what he had.
The 2nd dive was fine and visibility was better and this time we saw quite a lot of fish and schools of barracuda.
One of the ladies diving with is us got a “panic” attack and had to surface. I did not see our guide take too much time to try to find out the problem or calm her down underwater. When I dived before I had seen our guide do this with someone and in a few seconds had reassured her and we continued with our dive. Our guide did not do this. He allowed her and her buddy to surface and we continued with our dive.
After the dive he didn’t really chat to us much about the dive and what we had seen which would have been nice. When we got back it was rushed and he spent no time with us helping us logging our dive. He was totally disinterested. I am in the service industry and believe that it’s all about the people…. People employed make the business and this is what makes people use the business and recommend it.
I would not recommend silent divers because of my experience with the guide. The people on board who assisted with us getting in and out the water and served the lunch were very helpful and happy.
Also they don’t tell you that it is 50 minute boat trip to get to the dive site. If it is rough this might not be something you want to do. The second dive is at the same site so you get out and have lunch on the boat and dive again. If it’s rough you could be in trouble if you get sea sick. They do over you pills beforehand.
Unfortunately I can’t say the same of my experience with Craig.

The organisation was great. The Transfer picket us up at time, the boot was great and the instroctors did a good job. John the manager of the store also had some nice stories. The Thai Boat Crew is very helpful and the served food for lunch was good.
I really recommend to go with them to Sail Rock if you are stationed in Samui.

We had the best time with the team of silent divers koh samui! Both of us did a PADI course, open water diver and advanced open water diver plus nitrox! Simon and Clive were our teachers and both of them are exceptional diving instructors and divers and very nice and cool people. Everything, from the pick up taxi to the boat, boatcrew, equipment, safety measures, knowledge of the diving spots up to the food served on the boat was immaculate! We booked a diving trip after our courses (again with Clive as our guide ;) and it was again a very enriching and nice experience. We can definitely recommend silent divers, both as diving school and for diving trips!

Went with a silent Divers to Sail Rock and Chumphon Pinnacle in August 2019 and had an amazing time. Easy to book with and they pay great attention to safety and enjoyment of customers.

Looking to go back in September 2022 and will be asking to dive with them again!

We did our Advanced Open Water with Silent Divers. Our instructor was Peter, who is as good as they come - very patient, skilled and a really personable guy. Hope to dive with you again sometime mate. The setup is efficient and we spent minimal time waiting around and did two days of awesome dives at Koh Tao and Sail Rock. Couldn't more highly recommended

I did my Open Water and Advanced Open Water course with them and it was amazing. My instructor, Peter, was great. I absolutely loved him. Everyone was super nice. Looking forward to go diving with them again.:)

Today we did a dive with Silent Divers. The whole day was well organized. From pick-up, to the boat, people with knowledge, absolute beautiful dives, good food and good company!

When you want to dive and you're on Koh Samui, i should recommend this diveschool.

The staff was super nice and we had an amazing time! We had a minor issue with a family that was diving with our instructor at the first dive and they were super caring and arranged everything so that we could have a better experience at the second dive, always asking if the changes were ok. Totally recommend!

In the April of year 2019 I went on a trip with you and it was a great experience and the place to dive is very beautiful.but unfortunately I received the license after about 11 months and I did not get the photos of the trip yet

Went to Sail Rock with them on August 6. John was an awesome guide - thorough, but still funny, laid back. He took lots of pictures and offered to send them to me free of charge, which was both nice and rare.

The office team was very flexible in working with me to get me out to my first choice site on the day I wanted to go. The boat team was very professional, gear was excellent - just a great all around effort. Highly recommend them, and I will use them again if I go back to Samui.
