Sandy Bay Resort

The beach is certainly magnificent, but the room is really to be avoided! The bathroom toilet is dilapidated and not clean, cleaning is only needed every other day (you have to pay the ladies to have it done every day). The room is tiny and stuffy … and all that for 3000 bath (100€) … and what about the so-called manager of the place who is just dishonest and only thinks about money …
I really recommend the other bungalows on this beach bp nicer and cleaner with a much better value for money

Stayed 5 weeks and felt very welcomed by the family and staff. I got sincere smiles everyday and enjoyed my daily banana shake? ️

The lady running the place wasnt the nicest. The location is nice, had yao is a nice location in koh phangan. I liked the beautiful proximity to the oceana and the refreshing pool.
Dont get the basic room thats 800 baht, it was disgusting, I had flies all over the room and especially toilet, didnt go in to shower during my stay cause it was too full of flies. They sprayed my room but it didnt help, I dont think they should offer this room and I moved after 2 nights.

I was here for 5 weeks loved it loved the sandy bay resort service from Jin and Boom will never forget this paradise haven with people who make u feel like they are family when u are so far from home

Good location and decent rooms and some overlook the ocean.
Food quality is not so good.
Also our food was very spicy even after saying not to make it spicy)

They clean the rooms only on the third day and sometimes we have to ask them to do it.

Service is a bit cold compared to other places we stayed in Thailand.

Good bungalow but the service is bad I asked the restaurant staff to give me a menu they told me to get it my self there is a cute pig walking around 24/7

I stay for 2 weeks and I am very happy! The Staff is very friendly, Haad Yao beach is very beautiful!

We have just left having spent 5 days at this resort. We stayed as a family of 4 with 2 kids aged 9 and 11 years right on the beach. I have no idea why people would give this place a bad rating.it was fantastic. For the money it cant be beaten. Yes it was basic but this is a 2 star hotel but you wake up and the beach is on your doorstep. The food was great so no complaints there. Overall we would come back

We've stayed here 3 separate times and have always been happy here. The food is good, the drinks are yummy & the bungalows never disappoint. The staff are friendly and very helpful with any request; Taxi, scooter rental, transfers to other islands or cities. We will definitely be back whenever we're in Koh Phangan.

Very nice place with a pool and a clean beach.
U can book here spontaneous and they show u the small house before.
Friendly stuff and fresh delicious BBQ at the beach.

Location: fantastic, close to 7-11, good restaurants.

Becuse of the staff,

Becuse they took you for granted.

We are not going to come back to this place
There is a lot of other amazing places with a very good thi attitude.

Perfect beach, lovely staff, very basic accommodation. Go for the cabins on the beach (101-108)

I got served Partially raw fish from the BBQ. After letting them know they just accepted it - no sorry, no offer of different food, no discount in price, nothing. The rest of the fish was amazing, don’t get me wrong. We we‘re just really not sure what to say and how to react after that fact was „ignored“.
Was really disappointing unfortunately. Had to wait for the starter like 45 Minutes as well and it was just garlic bread.
View is beautiful and really great though. Other food was good as well! +1 Star.
1 Star plus for the house pig which is absolutely cute. But can‘t give more than three sorry:/

Sandy Bay Resort is located on a stunning property, the location is fantastic. The resort is family run and we felt that the staff was very responsive to our needs, but we always felt a little uncomfortable with the Manager who was not the most customer-friendly. The rooms are very clean, the food was excellent and the receptionist was informative. They helped us arrange a taxi to the Full Moon party and tickets to the ferry to get to Ko Samui. If you're looking for a quiet place to stay and without the crowds, I'd recommend Sandy Bay Resort.

Wonderful place to stay! Staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We had lots of space for our family in our double bungalow. Kids loved the pool, swings, and Laura the pig. Relaxed vibe, great food, best beach area on haad yao! It was a pleasure to stay 9 days at Sandy Bay Resort! Looking forward to visiting again!

Stayed in a bungalow during low season. Great location. The area itself is quiet, yet still close (walking distance) to the more busy part of town. I would stay there again.
