Sandalwood Luxury Villas

Located in a very beautiful hill and overlooking the sea. Room is exceptionally big and comfy. Best part is waking up to sunrise. Highly recommend to rent a car to travel ard Koh Samui too.

Food wise is not bad.

Sleeping in such paradise and in a such gorgeous room, I couldn’t sleep better! We stayed in the Plumeria room. The room was spacious and luxurious. As we were on honeymoon, they decorated the room so nicely! It was beautiful! We could not believe how big it is and how many amenities it had! The icing on the cake, we had a small private infinity pool in our villa with a stunning view.impeccable and very accommodating staff. They were superb! They did everything they could to make us feel comfortable. The staff were attentive and welcoming. They go above and beyond to help all the guests.
When you check in they offer you a welcome drink, make you feel comfortable and then explain everything you need to know regarding your stay.
The food was delightful. At Sandalwood Luxury Villas we had the best breakfast in Thailand! There were so many delicious options that I can’t explain! Simply fabulous with different things on the buffet each day, and you can also order from the a la carte which is included!
Having our own jacuzzi and swimming pool in a very spacious and comfortable room were details that made completely difference. The convenience of counting on free shuttles to the closest beaches and convenience stores is fantastic!

Overall a great stay during covid19 pandemic at a cheaper price, but I would not stay here at full price. I had an opportunity to view many of the units and pick one which I liked. Many are actually set out quite poorly, with two bedroom units having one of the beds in the living area which means you don't get much privacy. We ended up finding a unit that we liked with nice facilities and a great view.

However there were a few hiccups which management never addressed. My aircon was clearly in need of repair or replacement and I mentioned this multiple times. They attempted a fix once but it didn't work. Then after I complained more they just ignored me. The room did not get cold enough.
The cleaners kept coming out of our organised times which impacted on our ability to relax as we normally planned to be out they house when they came. They also failed to restock toiletries or took our dirty towels but didn't give fresh towels at times.
The pool filter broke down and they took an long time to fix (a few days) which meant we couldn't use the pool.
At the end of my stay my checkout time was midday. However at 10: 30am I got a text from management that cleaners are coming in 5 minutes. So while I was still a guest and trying to pack my things the cleaners were bustling about and getting in my way. It turns out management wanted to show the place to a new guest so they just wanted me gone asap.
It is apparent to me that once they realise they can't get anymore money from you they don't care about you.

When we arrived we were upgraded to the best villa (Rose Villa), the place was on 2 levels with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It had its own infinity pool and an amazing view out over Chaweng Beach. Breakfast in the villas is very nice with both Asian and Western selections, they will also make you fresh eggs or omelette. We ate in Blue Ginger (the onsite restaurant) for both lunch and dinner, the food is a little pricey for the selection of Western food (if you dont like spicy Thai food). The staff at the villas are very friendly and helpful. They offer a complimentary transfer to the beach 3 times a day (as the villas are up in the hills and it would be a long trek to walk there). They also offer transfers to the supermarket and a few restaurants at a charge of 100THB each way.

Had a wonderful time in 2017 with my wife. We had a spacious room with a private pool. The staffs were kind and friendly. We had a nice ocean view. The hotel itself was up a little on a mountainside, and the road up to it was pretty steep. The hotel issued us a mobile phone so that we could use it to call a ride to and from the hotel.

We stayed for 5 days at Sandlewood for days just recently! To start with it was an amazing experience. Rooms were fantastic, with beautiful view! Amazing food and extraordinary hospitality. You just get connected to this place. Loved it.

My husband and I just spent 4 nights at Sandalwood Resort in Ko Samui. It was a wonderful experience. You can't beat the view from the infinity pool overlooking the island. Given the isolation of the resort, they have included driving services to short distances from 9-5 at any time and on a schedule for longer distances (Chawang beach and Lamai beach). You can hire their drivers for other trips or after hours. We enjoyed their recommendation to take a long tail boat out snorkeling and to see pig island / a mangrove Grove. The on-site restaurant has a terrific breakfast- lots of options. Dinner there was ok. Wifi was slow (no more than 4 mbbs download from my Villa). I would highly recommend this resort.

If you are looking for a place to relax and just enjoy yourself: this is it! Up in the mountains you have a breathtaking view and while chilling in your own private pool you will forget all your worries. Combined with a lovely and very helpful staff and Robert, the owner, who is your local expert and knows how things work best, you will spend a perfect holiday there. We for sure will come back!

We were recently in Thailand for our honeymoon and decided for our last stay in Koh Samui we would treat ourselves to a villa and we went with sandalwood and we couldn’t be happier that we did. We were already staying in Koh Samui the day we came here so we got a taxi to bring us here, but the taxi would not go up the hill so he told us we would have to walk up it. So we did, well it’s legit like walking up a straight steep mountain. Would not recommend. But we found out the hotel would have happily picked us up so just know that.

From the moment we arrived, service was amazing. From carrying our bags, welcome drink and cold towel, they went over everything with us. They even give you your own personal cell phone so if you need a ride or anything you just make the call. So cool!

The villa that we stayed in was absolutely amazing. As soon as we walked in, full size pool over looking the ocean, deep enough you can dive in. Absolutely amazing! Our room was large and beautiful, outdoor bath and shower, big comfy bed. Just amazing.

Because the resort in on the side of the mountain we didn’t venture out anywhere and we ate at the restaurant for all our meals and everything was delicious! Service was great.

Now our biggest regret was we only stayed here one night, if we would have known how nice it was we for sure would have changed our plans and done more nights here. We will for sure be back one day and we can’t wait! Amazing amazing amazing!

Beautiful villa's with the most spectacular views we witnessed on Koh Samui. Restaurant had a great mix of Thai and western food, my wife loved all of the Thai food on the menu. A great stay all round, we will be back!

What a fantastic place to stay. Was here October 2018, my dear wife and I are here in September 2019. Staff are fantastic, day spa is to die for. Robert's team are brilliant will definitely be back

Great service, great Villa (I stayed in Lily), though the view was a little obstructed by the villas in front of ours, we could still see the ocean so it was pretty nice and relaxing.

The 5 stars really go to the villa itself though! It had a mood lighting, indoor waterfall fountain thing, many places to just chill within it, from a reading platform, poolside chairs or living room. They even had a first aid kit.

Be careful not to cut your feet at Coral Beach due to the sharp rocks and corals below though!

Too good property, amazing hospitality, great views.secluded and away from the hustle. Using a local bike to get to the property may be difficult though, it's located on top of a hill (really steep driveway)

Amazing hotel! Beautiful views and staff is beyond friendly! Will possibly do anything to make sure your stay is incredible. The owner himself was friendly and genuinely cares about your experience and will do anything to satisfy his guest!

I loved this place. We stayed at a villa with private pool looking at the ocean, which was amazing. The staff was more polite at this place than those who work at other hotels, and you can get free rides and pick ups to and from the city and beach. The restaurant at this resort offers delicious food for reasonable price.

Gotta hand it to them, this place is luxury for sure. Everything's amazing. The one and only bad thing is that it's half way up a steep steep mountain road but the place will shuttle you to get supply's and help you go out for dinner.
If I ever get married I would seriously consider this place for a honeymoon.
They have left the original rocks and have built round them which gives it a unique and amazingly creative look to each room.
The owners are very friendly and accommodating, and the staff are super kind and nice to talk to. They will help with day trips and also have a nice spa in site.
Great breakfast each morning and the view of the sea from the private pool is amazing.
For a slice of heaven on Earth treat yourself to a few nights here if you're in Koh Samui.
