Rung Arun Resort

Amazing 3 night stay here, the hotel had a lovely spacious, clean room, with brilliant balcony/ porch area with a microwave, plates and cutlery. Great swimming pool, nice owners and a nice beachfront view. Decent location too, only a couple minutes on a bike to some nice bars. Only slight negative that there was no sunbeds at the pool which was frustrating, apart from that it was perfect

Very nice and clean Resort at Phangan, Water pressure is good, room service is perfect, owner cares about everything. A big plus: if you like cats or dogs you will have them both at the beach or if you are lucky in your bungalow, just water at the beach is mostly too low for swimming. Next to the Resort is a kite-surfing-school.

Dissapointing, dirty and overpriced.

We chose this resort for the full moon party and regretted it. They charge 50% extra during the full moon and it felt like a rip off. There's no food or drink options at the hotel. The room was very dirty. The blankets had stains on them and we made the mistake of moving a bed and found so much dirt under it. The cups and cutlery they provided in the outdoor kitchen werent clean, smelled like rotten trash and were covered in ants. There was no in room instructions, so we couldnt use our safe and we had to go hunt down the wifi password. Theres a TV but theres no channels and the TV remote had no batteries so its literally useless.

We were very unhappy with the service from the front desk. You only get one towel per person, no face cloths or hand towels. When we asked for fresh towels on our second day, they wanted to charge us for them until we expressed our shock and displeasure. By 230 pm our room was not yet made up so we again went to the desk and asked for our water bottles for the day, and again they tried to charge us for them. The lady wasnt polite about it and made excuses for the bad service instead of apologizing.

Honestly this place felt like a scam. We stayed at Sasitara Thai Villas on Ko Samui for the same price per night and we had an incredible stay there, impeccable service, breakfast was included, they had no problem giving us extra towels and waters for free, the room was clean and beautiful.coming to Rung Arun was a HUGE let down in comparison. I read so many good reviews, so I dont know if it was just our room, or just this weekend, or if theyre fake reviews or what?

The upsides were the beach, the pool, good AC, and that the beds were decently comfortable, but again the blankets were all stained so that was very offputting.

If I could do it again I would stay at First Villa just down the beach. They have a great restaurant with decent prices that we ate at for every meal, a free filtered water refill machine, and most importantly the front desk ladies were so kind and polite.

I know places are still recovering from covid but we havent been treated like this at any of the other hotels weve stayed at this trip. After trying to charge us for fresh towels and fresh water on day 2 we felt like these people just saw us as money bags to scam from and it left a very bad taste in our mouths.

Don’t go! Terrible experience, was kicked out during check in with my 3 year old daughter and wife at 7pm by anrude and aggressive lady who is the owner. Happily paid 3 times the amount somewhere else to get a bed for my kid and a place somewhere far away from these vibes. Another guest (our hero) who was staying there and saw what happened, offered to drive our family to another hotel (no taxis near so he was a big help!). In return the lady got angry at him as well and wanted to kick him out as well (Incl. His family with a 1,5 and a 3 year old). She Told him to leave the next day. Never been treated like this before.

Dirty place with rude owners/employees who will try to charge you for fresh towels and bottles of water on your second day, plus scam you for 50% more than the regular room rate during Full Moon Parties. Avoid, seriously, there’s better places for same price or slightly more. There’s also NO food or drink available here, we had to walk up a long dirt road to the city street or down the beach to neighbouring resorts to get breakfast or dinner. Anybody giving this place 5 stars doesn’t know what that means. I’d give it 0 stars if I could.

I broke my arm right before checking in and the owner was very helpful and caring and gave us a free taxi ride to the hospital.
Rooms are very spatious with a nice terrace and micro wave and fridge! Bed also soft and comfy. Only bad thing is the shower has very low pressure.

Nice and quite location. I came late at night and was accommodated nicely by the owner. Comfy bed, clean room.

On the check out the owner has provided us with a luggage trolley to move to the property nearby and helped us to move the luggage. We wanted to pay and he refused, saying he just wants to make sure his guests are happy:)

Rooms were average. The washroom would get flooded with water. Location was great. Beach facing property

We came for 1 day and stayed 2 weeks. Mrs. Pai the owner is a sweat heart and took great care of us. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were cleaned everyday. They provided us with water everyday. The swimming pool was clean. The sheets were clean, the A/C worked quite well. If you want a great peaceful location close to everything without the hustle and bustle. This place is a piece of heaven. The smell of the garden and the overall layout of the place is AWESOME! Right on the beach. Thank you for a great stay.

This place is so beautiful, you feel like you are in the jungle. Its very peaceful and I just love the way they treat animals here. Main road is close, also you have many grocery stores near as well as restaurants. People that work here are very friendly and they will help you with anything. Rooms are very clean and you get fresh towels and free watere avery day. Its right next to the beach and they also have a lovely pool.

- เจ้าของเป็นกันเองมากแนะนำทุกอย่างในเกาะพะงัน พนักงานทำความสะอาดห้องไวมากแค่ 1ชม กลับมาห้องใหม่เอี่ยม
- น้ำอุ่นใช้ได้ดีมาก แอร์เย็นสบาย เตียงนุ่ม ห้องกว้างขวาง เป็นธรรมชาติ ไม่มีใครมาวุ่นวาย เงียบสงบ แต่ไม่น่ากลัวแน่นอน
- มีชายหาดส่วนตัวของรีสอร์ท ทรายตรงรีสอร์ทนุ่มเหมือนทรายที่หาดริ้นเป๊ะ
- ที่จอดรถสามารถจอดมอไซด์ ที่หน้าห้อง หรือ โรงจอดรถของที่พักได้สบายมากๆ รับรองไม่มีหาย
- ติอยู่เรื่องเดียวขอCommentไม่มีป้ายบอกทางเข้าหน้าปากซอยทางเข้าแค่นั้นเอง ครับ

Great place in Ko Phanang! If you plan to rent a scooter you can reach any places on the island from this hotel. Really good location. Although DO NOT rent anything from JOY COMPUTER which is the first bike rental you will see when leaving the hotel. These guys are real thieves charging you thousand of bath for « scratch » that you didn’t make.

Restaurant with 80% of the items unavailable. One rude staff member that gets upset and annoyed when asked questions and a broken down bathroom that's in dire need of repairs. The dogs and cats were cute though.

Lighting in rooms was very dim but great customer service and friendly owners. Would recommend making use of their laundry, taxi and travel booking services

Clean spacious room, attentive hosts, nice location on the seafront, pool. We really enjoyed staying here.

Good location, nice for lying on the beach. For swimming not the best place, but good place for start explore Koh Phangan

Amazing beach hotel right on the beach front. Amazing people and i loved their hospitality and service.

I can't support Simon Carrasco's opinion. The area is clean and in a good status, a friendly and helpful owner, good cooking, fair price.
