Challenging, hilly course with great views across the island. Club hire available, clubs are almost vintage, but that adds to the experience. Buggy’s are in great condition.

Tough and tricky golf course. Some well thought out holes.
Tricky shots and not all about the distance.
Had privilege of playing with the owner.
Staff were super and beers cold too.
Will come back for sure.

I enjoyed the Royal Samui 9-hole + Santiburi 9-hole package. Both golf courses were so beautiful and nice. Royal Samui was a good course to practice with no caddy.

Fun day, the place is a bit neglected and with few indications in general. Technical field, insidious due to the vegetation, need for precise shots, but very fun, the magnificent sea view. The bunkers and water hazards very neglected. Price quality a bit to be reviewed compared to the quality standard present in Italy.

Great place for 9 holes and super casual. Not like some courses that have dress code and are rude if you aren't pro golfer. Great place to drinks some beers and hits some balls. Course is fairly technical as well.

Great fun! A very challenging little course but the views are amazing and if you like golf it is a great way to spend a couple of hours on Samui!

Rundown. Bunkers over grown.
Tees untidy.
Rented clubs that were dirty.
Would have been good in its hey day sadly looks like Covid has killed this course.

Awsome short and very tricky 9 hole golf course. The weather was iffy because of a freaky storm situation and offered to reschedule which I accepted and got a beautiful slot between storms. The course is hilly, short and very tight. Grerns quite firm despite the rains. Had a new powerful golf cart with good breaks. Cary patbs are all paved. View are amazing on almost every hole. I was picked up and dropped off at my hotel, given a cart, good quality Taylormade rental clubs for 2600 baht. I thought it was a good overall value. I would have liked to have purchased maybe a club polo shirt or towel or something but the golf shop didn't have much of a selection. Be sure to get plenty of golf balls you will probably need them.

Great golf course fabulous views, a must visit place for golf lovers. Don't be long be wise golfers.

Worst place ever. Don't know how they consider themselves a golf course, don't waste your time coming here. If you want to play a round in Koa Saumi play a round at Santauri.

Cheapest option for golf on samui. 900b for 9 holes. Course is reasonable condition for amateurs. Some tricky holes. Amazing views and scenery.

Paid 900 Baht for 9 holes (it is a 9 hole course). The course, equipment and facilities are poorly kept. Our cart barely had brakes on it, which is important since the course is very hilly. Many of the cart paths are unfinished, unpaved. Some of the "bunkers" were just dirt pits.

The course is not easy to get to, the access road is poorly marked and unpaved. Our taxi had to creep along through the pits and potholes.

The one positive is that some of the views are pretty good. There is only one other golf course on the island so if you just want to play a different course, this is a cheap outing.

This is a unique golf course in unique setting. Great experience. Very narrow. I would use irons only.

I find this course fun and challenging at time. Pong mgr. Is a great guy. Such a good attitude. When it's green there, its such a nice feeling playing in the jungle. Love the views.

Friendly staff and a very nice view. The Fairway could be in better condition but if you are just looking for a fun time you should give this course a try. Overall we had a great time playing here.

Tricky golf course to play with very narrow fairways, often hitting blind tee shots, would advise to stock up on golf balls if you struggle with accuracy, the greens many are in poor condition maybe due to all the rain, expensive for what it is.

Avoid. The only things that are somehow connected to real golf are its name (Royal) and greenfee price. It has potential, but now it's just started golfcourse project.cancelled at the very beginning. There is no par 5s; on par4s you often play blind and can not se greens on second; par3s are flat and relatively boring. It's weird, that they take full money for terrible quality. As for 2017 february most greens are damaged propably by rains and fairwais-tees are not maintained (see pics). If you want to see nice views, just take a scooter and go there. To practice pitch and putt there, it should be half the price they ask. Paid 2300/9holes 3800/18holes for 2 greenfee and a buggy, but we quit after first 9.
