Overall, the lake and the cave are wonders, but the amazingly terrible and rude service from the tour operator counter plus this really diminished the joy brought by the incredible nature at the lake. I suggest coming with a fill Thai translation of everything you're going to tell them and asking for a full receipt with everything written in Thai for the boat driver.
