Pool Villa Sabai Jai Koh Tao Eagle, Gecco and Turtle Villa

Four Canadian ladies enjoyed our time on Koh Tao at especially Villa Eagle from February 8-13,2023. Rene and Tom were quick to respond not only before we arrived, but during our stay as well. We can’t say enough about their staff - Win, Phyo and Lin who took great care of us during our stay, from making us breakfast, ordering our lunch and of course cleaning the villa. The views from Villa Eagle are breathtaking and we would all highly recommend staying if you have the chance. Thank you to Rene, Tom, and the entire staff that helped to make our vacation experience an unforgettable one!

This has been hands down our best stay in Ko Tao. We have been here many times, but this villa was out of this world. The owner is very accommodating and kind! The stuff was amazing! Not one complaint, thank you for one of the best memories, we will definitely be back!

Breathtaking views, carefully curated interior design, immaculate overall appearance and experience. Our stay in Gecco Villa was everything we could have hoped for and more. The Villa offers a peaceful place of retreat from the busy parts of koh tao. Situated with an amazing view over beautiful shark bay, we had the most relaxing time here. In addition, the hosts rachel and rene were extremly kind and helpful, offering many helpful opportunities and recommendations to make our stay even more perfect. Thanks a lot. Would absolutely recommend.

The Villa is simply amazing! The view is stunning, the place is very nice on the edge of the cliff, South of Koh Tao near Shark Bay.
Bob, the owner is very welcoming and gave us nice tips to enjoy our stay.
We will definitely come back and recommend this place. It made our stay in Kho Tao to another level!

This place is something special, you will love it (trust me). The architecture of the villa is perfect, you have a bench in the pool to enjoy the sunset, you have enough sun but also shadow if it gets too hot. Additionally to the AC, there is a fan. The furniture is beautiful, we especially loved the comfy couch outside. We enjoyed our stay so much, we came back again:)
The highlight: you have the most beautiful view on this entire island (sea side & jungle).
Special thanks to the extremely helpful and nice stuff. We rent a motorbike at the Villa and snorkels, got beach towels and the Villa cleaned perfectly every day. Win and her team took care of us in every way possible. Thank you so much!
The owners are also very very friendly and nice. The first we were welcomed by them: they gave as a map and showed us the best beaches and restaurants. Thank you Asa and Bob!
(P. S.the internet is very good if you plan to work from here or watch a Netflix movie in the evening)

Tip: rent a scooter (you can rent on at the villa), taxies very expensive

We had an amazing stay at Villa Sabai Jai. We stayed at the Eagle villa. The pool and view is amazing. If you are looking to for a place to get away from all the stress this is THE place to be.
The villa is equipped with everything you need and for the rainy days or evenings there is a modern entertainment system connected to Youtube and Netflix.

Every morning you get breakfast cooked for you and you have a variety of options to select from.

Only thing to note is that it's not really possible to get around without a motorbike or taxi. You will get the number to Mr. Bear which is a great taxi driver and always 15min away from picking you up.

If you need some extra help with relaxing there is a Coffee shop just 5 minutes away called Natural High Coffee Shop:)

Already planning our trip here next year.

We had an amazing experience at Villa Sabai. I would recommend couple and family to stay in this beautiful place. This is so luxurious and the personal are really nice. It was outstanding. If back to Koh Tao, we will definitely go back!

Overall summary: quality service far from expected.
We spend "x" days in the turtle villa and we didn't receive the expected service as quality was very poor.
1-First day, when arriving at Koh Tao harbour, no one was waiting for us as we were told. We had to call the vila so the taxi driver came to pick us up at least 30 minutes late. While this, we had to rent some bikes. After renting the bikes, we headed to the villa but the taxi driver didn't wait for us so we got lost. We didn't have enough instructions to arrive to the villa. The stuff of the villa was waiting for us to do the check in but we couldn't arrive on time as we didnt find the location (it's very difficult to get there if you don't know the island). During the following morning, the lady came home to do the checkin with very bad modals and judging us for being late. She also asked for the passport and obviously we gave to the bike rental store (no one notified us about passports neither the driver that came with us to the rental store.)
2- A maintenance employee entered to our pool without notification. We were in the bed in an intimate situation while we say a guy in front of us checking the pool. This is simply unacceptable. Knocking the door and asking for permission would be enough.
3- We asked for laundry service. This was also painfull as our white clothes were faded (we had brand new clothes.)
4- We had guests at home and we had to check out. The lady came and told us "taxi is paid for 5, you are 8". This gave a very bad impression to our guests as we didn't have problem for paying another taxi extra. It's just the way she told us that thing with guests present.

We had an AMAZING stay at the gecco villa. The view was the best on the island and everything was absolutely perfect. The villa has absolutely everything you need including food delivery right to your door, scooter rental right from the villa, and snorkeling gear for the entire stay for only 200 baht. Åsa and Phyu were exceptional and so kind and helpful when we had any problems. Can’t recommend this place enough, highlight of our trip!
