First of all, for lovers of Italian food, don't miss it!
Simply delicious food, an atmosphere of pampering.
The chef of the restaurant came out to us several times to explain the dishes and to respond to vegan options.
The staff is kind and pleasant and it's simply an amazing experience!
The prices are expensive compared to Thailand, and this is the most expensive meal we had on the entire trip. But it was worth every penny!

The food is amazing, seriously. The owner, who is heavily engaged in providing a great service and good conversations, knows how to keep the menu actually authentic according to Italian standards. The ingredients are of outstanding quality despite being far away from Italy. If you’re willing to pay a little more and eat quality Italian food with a great service, this is the place. You’ll not leave the place with a smile just because of the food, but also because of the laughter with the owner. Success guaranteed!

The main reason to come to Koh Samui! Sad but true, best Italian restaurant I've ever been to!

We had huge expectations for this price range. Unfortunately, the food was just decent. Spaghetti was ok but barely eat the others.

It's been a few years but we're finally back in Samui and enjoying dinner at Pepenero. My wife and I have travelled extensively and still find it amazing that some of the best Italian dishes we have tasted have been at Pepenero. Once again they have delivered, the tomato & burrata fetachini was delicious and the rigatoni with tomahawk beef ragu WOW! Paulo the perfect host, like catching up with an old friend. Thank you for the perfect dinner, can't wait to visit again.
P. S. We also used Paulo's new service of a free ride to the Fisherman's Village Market after dinner. A nice bonus.

Unglaublich gutes Essen, wirklich sehr lange her dass ich so lecker gegessen habe. Sehr freundliches und qualifiziertes Personal und schönes Ambiente. Wünschte das Restaurant gäbe es auch in Deutschland: (relativ hohe Preise aber das Geld mehr als wert!

Owner was super friendly. It tasted like authentic Italian food we ate during our trip in Toscany, Italiy. I would definitely recommend it if you want a break from Thai food.

Impeccable food and service in a relaxed yet elegant environment. Special care is taken in the preparation of each tasty dish. The pasta is superb but do not neglect the starters, especially the cheese.
This is a restaurant that commands respect for their efforts and requires appreciate compensation for their success. They make provide a relaxing stress free ambiance and insist that their customers do their part to keep this environment for the patrons.

The food was good but it didn't have enough salt. Usually in other Italian restaurants they would bring parmesan and spicy olive oil with pasta or pizza. Here we had to ask. My husband was already finished with his meal when they brought them. The service is slow. For information: If you want to pay with the credit card there is an extra fee of 3.5%.

Knowing Pepenero since maybe 2015/16 in their former location when it was Paolo, Camille and Alain to their current Maenam space with the gents running it, surviving a 3 year pandemic, this restaurant has always remained true to its heart, offering authentic dishes from the region of Italy they know best, using the best quality imported products, truely creative in their offerings. Don't go there looking for a pizza and penne carbonara - you wont find it. Instead you will hear the story of the menu and specials, created by Chef Alain and Paolo, a little bit about the region, wines to match, great service by a mostly Burmese team, in a warmly lit open dining space, surrounded by bottles and roses on the tables. Both passionate foodies, enthusiastic about great food and wine. Trust their menu suggestions, try something new, let them take you on a journey. Home made breads, pastas. The cheese wheel (which they exclusively import into Thailand, one of about 10 items they import) bought to the table. First time visited, restaurant is located on the main road but you dont feel you are on the main road
quiet, very nice atmosphere, beautiful garden nice sitting in and out. Owner is very friendly and caring. Great service.
