Nora Buri Resort

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Nora Buri Resort & Spa, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The room exceeded my expectations in terms of cleanliness and comfort. The hotel's restaurant was a standout. Diverse menu, delicious dishes, and attentive service made it even better.

The hotel's central location is perfect for exploring attractions, and well-maintained facilities like the fitness center and pool enhance the positive overall impression. In conclusion, my stay at Nora Buri Resort & Spa was a truly delightful experience.

I highly recommend this property.

Everything is good. The view is nice and the beach is close, but there aren't too many restaurants or things to do nearby. You have to take a taxi to the downtown area. To get out of the downtown area, a tuk-tuk costs about 200 baht and a taxi costs about 300 baht.

Update October 2023: Luckily, I could afford again to spend a relaxing time at Nora Buri Resort. Again it was a wonderful experience and time and money well spent. If not for the telly or my laptop connecting me to the outside world, you'd be forgiven to forget all about it. Thank you once again to the whole service team.

This top local resort is quite quiet and you can really relax. If you want to get into the 'action' you can take shared taxis to Chaweng Beach Road - it's not expensive. It's pleasant, quiet and everything is available here: great, large rooms and villas, two large pools with bars, top selection at breakfast. The staff is very friendly and helpful and competent. The restaurant 'Die Barke' at the lower pool is great and not expensive. There are also a few great local restaurants up the street that serve very good food and there is also a 7-11 store there. The fitness center is in good shape and the sauna and steam room are clean and pleasant. Anyone looking for peace and relaxation is in good hands here.
The only negative aspects are some guests who have absolutely no behavior and, for example, fill their plates at the breakfast buffet and then only eat a small part of it. The same goes for the impossible Muslims who fill up three plates and then call the waiter to the table and then ask if it is 'halal', because if it isn't they can't eat it at all. The friendly and competent staff have that resolved very diplomatically.

Overall, highly recommended if you are looking for peace and relaxation. Everything is there and everything is very good and pleasant. The shared taxi up the road is 100 baht one way and to Chaweng Beach Road 150-200 baht one way. If you go there every now and then it's not expensive. Airport transfer is 200 - 300 baht one way.

It was really beautiful, really nice hotel with great service. Only the beach there isn't that nice, but the facility is great.

A very pleasant experience at this resort. All the staff were great, we had a problem in the room at night and it was sorted immediately. The buffet was huge and the pools were also very good. As a thing to improve the gym, it was a little small and there were some machines that didn't work.

Stayed for 3 days. Nice rooms with a great view on a full moon especially. Top notch service

Beautiful resort. The pools are well placed to have a really nice view with the infinity pools. Just going up to our rooms, ahead a kind of Japanese decoration with fountains, beautiful day and night. Also if we would like to go down by golf carts, we could call anytime. The breakfast was diverse and delicious. Even though the resort is really big and with a high number of guests, they managed to control and make people not feel in an industrial service, making us feel cozy. The rooms are spacious, the bed is really comfortable.

Small negatives points: needed to ask for the credit card to be the same as the reservation in booking, it is not always the case. If not it could have been cancelled.
The air conditioning was loud and also as it is not possible to guide the air we had the cold air directly to the bed the whole night.

The worst hotel I've been since I travel.
Not 5*! Probably 2-3*. And very expensive for the value.
The room has horrible smell of mold. There were stains of mold in the bathroom. Looks and smells horrible. Couldn’t breath in the room.

No good wifi. I needed to ask for private spot in the room.
The hill the hotel is located on is hard to climb to the room everytime.and i do sports everyday. For eldery people cannot think about worst situation.

The place itself is beautiful, huge and old fashioned. The rooms are huge and everything is made of wood. The disadvantages were that the place is far from the center (10 minutes by taxi or 35 minutes by foot). To get to the room you need a tuk tuk all the time and the pool, which is very beautiful with a beautiful view of the sea, has very cloudy water.

Love to give them 10 out of 10 for everything.

Receptionists are so friendly and helpful.

The pool villa looks a bit old, but it is clean and has everything that you need. The room is huge bathroom spaces (indoor, out door, and bathtub). Comfortable bed in the middle of the room with an amazing private pool and sea views.

Breakfast is impressed. Lots of options. Lovely staff will make a coffee for you. French toast and waffles are the best.

There is plenty of car parking. And golf cart will take you shortly to send you to the room (24 available, just ring them)

Staff are lovely and the rooms are big and spacious. Pools are great and the restaurant will accomodate vegetarian if you ask.
Downside the rooms need updating, guests are allowed to smoke anywhere and annoy other pool goers and staff don’t do anything about that and other poor behaviour. The hill to the hillside room is way too steep and buggies not always available. The beach was covered in rocks and not maintained a lot of litter everywhere and location is a little far from any shops. Room service menu needs updating for those with dietary requirements. Also I was shocked to see cruel elephant riding being advertised on the in room entertainment as an activity for guests.

We had a very pleasant stay. The rooms are big and spacious. The restaurant serves tasty food with an amazing view, staff is very helpful. Big property spread on both sides of the road and buggy is available to move around. Things that can be improved- lighting in room, vegetarian food options and correct description of views from room.

Private pool villas are not excatly Private. Anyone can pop up in from front, sides! A big negative.
The pool in room is not an infinity one!
Another negative very poor wifi.

Location is far from main chaweng street. No nearby stores or restaurants available.
Staff is very decent and cooperative.

Best place to be. We chose this hotel to have our wedding in, we messaged the hotel and received a prompt response from Michelle (our beautiful wedding planner)
From the first email till the end of our wedding, she was so helpful, so organised, so friendly and nice, we always felt her support and we could allow ourselves to relax. She did absolutely everything she could to make sure we felt happy. She always was so kind and patient with us, listened to every silly request.
She and her amazing team worked so hard to make our special day PERFECT. And it was. Every detail, everything went so well, the food was amazing, place was magnificent, staff was so attentive and helpful.

We received an upgrade for our newlyweds room, it was spacious room with the best view, with bath and two showers, with pool overlooking beautiful ocean.
As a part of wedding package, we also had romantic dinner at the beach which was so delicious. That night it was raining so we sat inside and as soon as rain stopped, they setup the table again for us so we can enjoy the view, so kind and thoughtful.
We also had spa package with amazing massages and body scrub included and a delicious floating breakfast to our room after the wedding.
Everyone went above and beyond during all our holiday.

This hotel has so much to offer from spacious rooms with nice views to tasty breakfast with good variety of food. Friendly and attentive staff members- it is a perfect place for the wedding or just a holiday!

Amazing resort in Koh Samui with really incredible sea front villas. Everything was perfect and the staff was always there and ready to help.

The villa had a beautiful private swimming pool and was just the perfect romantic getaway in the island. Close to the airport (5 min) and to the most popular sights and beaches.

Highly recomnended place to relax and to enjoy the best Samui has to offer

The resort was well maintained and very huge. But there were no options for Indian food and very limited ones for the vegetarians. Service was pretty slow.
