Na Mueang 2 Waterfall reviews
21Learn from my mistakes. To get to the famous view of the waterfall, climb the mountain on the RIGHT *bank* of the waterfall (i.e. The waterfall's right side and your left side when approaching the waterfall). This way the climb will be considerably easier. I climbed on both sides of the waterfall coz I missed the waterfall on the first one. And wear proper shoes and bring water. It's a tough climb.
Small pleasant walk under the forest, passage on footbridge and walk to the beautiful waterfall and for those who wish, possibility of swimming at the top, at the top
Nice waterfall, But the real place to visit is above it - It’s a hidden little trail but if you manage to find it then you can climb up to the top and enjoy the lovely view and natural infinity pool - We spent over an hour up hear relaxing and listening to the sound of the waterfall, As well as having a lovely swim.
The trail is steep and involves climbing although I did it in crocs and found it easy, others may not.
I would not advise attempting it after heavy rain or if it looks like it will rain as there are sections with rope where you need to pull yourself up the rocks.
The entire hike up took us around 15-20 minutes.
Drive through the parking lot of the safari park and you will come to the free parking lot of the waterfall. If you park in the upper parking lot, do not climb up to the right of the waterfall, the path ends in nothingness after a fairly long, steep climb. Instead, for example, behind the restaurant above the river and up to the left. This climb ends at a pretty cool level by the waterfall with great views all the way to the sea. If you come early there is less going on and if you come before 9: 00 you are alone and don't pay anything.
Great place to visit when in Koh Samui! There's an elephant sanctuary just next to it as well.
The ascension is a bit risky, but I did it in flip flops so I guess you just have to be careful! Can be quite crowded but honestly you won’t care when you get to see the beautiful view. Really worth it!
Now the waterfall is filled with water and is definitely worth a visit. The short walk along the trail is definitely worth it. It makes sense to take a towel and swimming trunks with you to cool off in the cool water
It was a cool spot for sure! About a 30 minute hike up on some pretty rugged terrain. We did it in flip flops and didn't have a problem but I would recommend full shoes (especially for the way down)
We started the hike at the lower parking area by the little house.
No much water due to dry season. A Place to spend a couple of hours if you have time but nothing spectacular!
I was told by the hotel concierge that this is a better alternative to the main Na Muang location as it is easier to get to and offers free parking.
We walked about 600m from the carpark to the start of our hike. Given that there is quite a hike involved, I'm glad that we wore proper walking shoes instead of sandals. The trial up to the top of the trail is quite challenging but there are guide ropes to assist those who need a lever to pull themselves up along the path.
Definitely worth the effort for those who enjoy a short hike and nice scenery.
It is really commercial at the base which is a bit annoying. However, it is all worth it when hiking to the top, not sure if we were lucky or not but we were alone for quite some time at the top which had amazing scenery. It would not be as good experience if it would have been crowded. We hiked in flip-flop, which is not really recommended but it works
It was ok! Not very exciting and a little bit expensive. If you just want to look at the waterfall, it's free.
Not worth going there, if you've been to Na Muang 1 waterfall don't waste your time time. Place is a bit like "Disneyland" but not in good shape and waterfall is nothing but exceptional.
Beautiful waterfall and view. Walk up is difficult and not suitable in rain, heat and inexperienced. Amazing view but steep slippery climb
Be aware of tourists trap that try to push you to go up to the hill. It is enough to stay around the slides.
Total impression of the waterfall is good. Waterfall himself is really nice. But it is to commercial “typical tourism hotspot“. Possibility to go swim is given but not the best waterfall location to have a swim on Koh Samui.
It's ok, if you happen to be around and have nothing to do. Nice short walk from the elephant abuse show. The way takes you up through the forest, some wooden bridges. Good cool water, very pleasant to get sweaty inside when it is so hot outside. Nice pool created by small artificial damn.
