We went diving here. It's a good place to do PADI Open Water, since it is shallow and there is sand to practice on. I was here for a Refresh to start my Advanced course. The visibility on the first day was about 5-10 meters and on the second day I would say it was about 10-15 meters. Sadly, there were not a lot of fishies and corals.

This beach is a NIGHTMARE to get to. Do not go if you are not confident riding a bike, and if you are not fit and nimble. The road there is awful and incredible hilly. Once your there you have to scramble over rocks to get to the beach which is covered in rubbish and the day we went it was very rough sea so you couldnt snorkel.
Probs the worst beachbi been to in koh tao and i would avoid

Great for snorkeling. The beach is not worth it and the entrance fee on foot is 100 baht and the way there is very dangerous as you have to climb over rocks

DON’T GO BY FOOT! ABANDON DIRTY HORRIBLE BEACH! Only go if you are doing snorkeling or diving! To arrive with motorbike was painful and too long then you need to leave the motorbike pay 100tbh and walk a lot more and cross big rocks and the beach is NO worthy - it is not sand, it was full of trash - there are
so many places to go
to ko tao so avoid this one!

100 baht entry each not worth it. Road down is uneven and dangerous. Another 300+ step steps to walk up/ down and then need to scramble over dangerous rocks. Save your time and go to shark bay/ Awek bay instead.

Way is a bit difficult. If you pull yourself together and concentrate, it's absolutely doable.
We paid 100baht for two.
Difficult to find route over the rocks. The climbing is worth it when you're there.
Check the weather and wind direction beforehand, otherwise swimming is dangerous.

I confirm the other review.
You should be confident in scooter, the path is not that easy.the stairs are epics and you should cross by the rock to access to the beach. I fall down so be careful.
The place it’s good but maybe not the best

Rip-off 100 baht for a littered beach and unfriendly locals to the full of diving boats and the journey is not for the faint of heart.

Getting there by scooter is very difficult and sometimes dangerous. If you take the long route you have to pay 100 baht per person to easily walk another 500 steps. We continue over unsafe stones (there's no other way to get to the beach) to arrive at a beach overcrowded with plastic waste. Unfortunately, the effort isn't worth it at all, the sea looks pretty nice when there aren't 10 diving boats chilling in the bay. I wouldn't do it again.

The weather wasn't quite so good, the resort at Mango Bay has been deserted since Corona. Still a beautiful, uncrowded beach.

Path not very passable. With the waves, it is not possible to swim there currently. Find out before you go

Visited the beach during the monsoon season, road there on scooter is challenging but definitely doable if you are confident and not just a beginner on a bike. I done it with both myself and my wife on the back. Wouldn’t recommend walking the whole thing as even when you arrive at the end of the road with the scooter your are greeted with a 200 stair decent to the abandoned resort and pass the lady who charges 50bhat each to enter. Then need to find the bungalow at the bottom of the resort which has a small red sign stating “beach” go around the side of the bungalow and start the rock scramble over large rocks which is signposted by white arrows and makeshift driftwood ladders/platforms and you will finally arrive at the most quiet but meh pebble beach of your life littered with rubbish (likely due to monsoon season). Unfortunately after all that we couldn’t snorkel due to the weather and large waves. Then you have to go through all the challenges again to climb back to your bike to then drive a challenging road again. Took us roughly an hour to do but I imagine if walking probably a good few hours as the road/dirt path is steep. Also wear proper shoes as you’ll need them for climbing the rocks, I wore flip flops so it is doable but wouldn’t advise. We done it all purely for the challenge but honestly would not be missing anything if you did not visit this place

Access route very difficult and complicated (no paved road).
When we arrived at the parking lot they asked for 100 baht pp.
You also have to walk a long way afterwards, including climbing over rocks
Not recommendable!

Unfortunately I did not read previous reviews. The 'path' to it is over rocks and sand. It is a challenging 'road' with the scooter. Once you park the scooter you have to walk down many stairs and pay 100 bath. You arrive at an abandoned resort. There is no beach! If you want to go to the beach you have to climb over rocks, which is dangerous.

Beware of the tourist trap:
First of all, there are different ways to get to the bay. One path is a bit hidden, leads on a small path first through the jungle, then through a resort, but is easily doable and free. The beginning of this path is marked by a blue and black pole (see photo).
To take the other route, just drive to the very end of the street. Here you pay 100Bhat per person entry and then have to climb over the rocks to the beach. You can see the rocks in one photo. Not an easy path and best walked with sturdy shoes. A bit of a rip-off considering that the other way is much easier and free…

The beach itself is quite nice, but we were only there to snorkel and didn't stay any longer. But for snorkeling, this was our best spot so far! Clear water, lots of corals and lots of fish. We were more than happy with what we saw. Around 1 p.m. Many boats with divers came here. I think the fact that this is also a popular diving spot speaks for itself. I would say you can actually see almost everything while snorkeling. It's best to come before 1 p.m. Or a little later, then the water won't be full of divers.

Dislike that they charge 100 baht, especially when the road there is horrible to travel on. Also met with lots of mosquitos, so it didn't feel like a place for me:)

Don't go there! The journey on the scooter is torture, but the walk through the abandoned hotel is even worse. They charge you 100 baht and say you can go to the beach. In theory this is possible, in practice it only involves climbing over 200m of rock without protection and without directions. Otherwise you can only use an old, dilapidated jetty to go into the water from there. Better to visit other beaches!

The beach is very pretty but they way to get there is not the best. If flexible you might get to the beach. A dangerous and long way.

Read the reviews and decided to check by myself if they are true. There is a dangerous road for sure, but if you go alone by bike it’s possible, not sure about two people. You have several options where to park, in the beginning or the middle, but you’ll have to go by walk a lot. There is also a stair down to the bay, going back was quite hard. The water was clear and there were a lot of interesting in the deep, but unfortunately my experience wasn’t good because I bought a cheap snorkel that let water through
