Very nice resort with great bungalows and a beautiful pool right on Haad Yao. The staff is very friendly. For a change, breakfast wasn't a buffet, which we found very relaxing. There are options within walking distance
Food and drink but there are also good drinks in the resort.

The best location if you come for a calm and measured holiday on the island.
Friendly and kind stuffs, clean bungalows, beautiful beach and pool.
Also want to say about breakfast, our booking was including breakfast and it was the best breakfast in my life!

The best value resort! Lovely helpful staff and great room options. Directly on the beach and a great pool what more could you want. We liked it so much we came back twice. Would definitly recommend long bay resort!

What a beautiful place! Tha garden is very well cared, the staff is absolutely amazing and the bungalows are clean and confortable.very recommended

The location is the most amazing I've saw in all my life. The beach is beautiful, water warm, and sand is powdery. The staff of the hotel is kind and try to be helpful but the hotel seems abandoned. Little Mai is adorable and nice. The location is the most privileged one for lm haad yao and yet the owner doesn't seem to want to make an effort. But it's really cheap so, worth it.

Everything looks closed except for the bungalows in the front. The pictures form the other reviews do not show how it looks today. Do not book anything!

The gardens, rooms and beach were nice but there is no restaurant or bar open at the resort anymore and they dont even have an open reception.
No restaurant means that the breakfast included with the room is no longer provided. They tried to pretend they had forgotten to tell us that the breakfast wasnt served anymore and then offered a ridiculously low 500 baht refund for the 11 days we were there.
They eventually gave us something more reasonable.

The resort is located on the best beach - long, sandy, good walks and swimming was absolutely fantastic. And no full-moon or any moon party here!
The resort’s garden is very well maintaining ned and beautiful.
However, there was problems with the pool and pool side maintenance.
Subject to COVID the restaurant was closed, we received a limited breakfast though.
The bungalow is spacious and airy, the floors and furniture hard wood, fridge & a/c in each bungalow (except perhaps the garden huts which locate in the back).
Shower & wc need some redecoration.
The owner miss Mew is very helpful and is doing her utmost to ensure that every customer enjoys the holiday at the resort.

Great hub, near the pool with seaview.
The resort is under renovation, so only breakfast, but whatever you like, the staff would make delivery.
We had the best stay, loved every minute. Great service and friendly staff. Cannot wait to return.

Beautiful beach front bungalows and ones inside resort. Has a maintained swimming pool, but the garden of this resort is so diverse, so many different types of plants for me it's a kind of magic. I learned so many new plant species. As for the wildlife so many different singing birds. Haad Yao Beach white sand, these days it is so peaceful and beautiful. Will visit again and again I love this place attached to it completely during these 7 months staying here

Despite their written confirmation the owners never reimbursed me my EUR 750 booking that I had to cancel due to Covid pandemic. Very disappointed!

This place is wonderful!
We rented one of the rooms at the beach, the view was amazing.
We had many (but never enough!) perfect sunsets on the beach.
The garden is really well maintained. The room itself is nice, but it could use a renovation in a few years.
There are some places in walking distance, but it's very hilly. Luckily there is an excellent scooter rental place next door, see my other review.:)
The resort offered free transfer from the pier. And from the reception area they took us to our room on a golf cart, which was a cool touch.
The restaurant is kinda average, but the all you can eats style breakfast was always great with a wide selection.
The staff is very nice, there was no language barrier.
All in all we would love to return.:)

Great resort on a super chill beach. My favourite location in all of Thailand! Only annoyance was ongoing construction work on and around the resort, but otherwise perfect.

We spent 5 nights in Haad Yao @ the long bay resort. The location is just perfect and the beach is AMAZING! The staff is super friendly and helped everywhere they could. The Breakfast is decent too for being in Thailand with an egg station.
Those are the positive aspects.
The negative ones are there too. The hotel itself is old and very tired. They really need to put in some money to make it shine again!
We first booked the most Basic room which to my surprise had no safe, no fridge and is next to an ongoing construction site. Upon check in we were told that they work every day from 8am-5pm.
After being in the room for 30 min we asked the reception if there was a better room available and luckily there was. Of course we had to pay extra. The deluxe room was much better than the basic room and has a safe and fridge.
However the bathroom is just not up to date anymore and is really ugly.
I would give 3.5 Stars but I cant so I deceided to give 4 because the location and beach and friendliness of the people.
But for the amount of money you have to spend to stay there there might be better options in haad yao.and there is no Wifi in the room!

My room with sea view and balcony is all good, except that internet connection almost not there (it's irritating to try to catch one of hotel networks, and it most of the time doesn't work). And some minor things - kettle didn't work (they said they will fix it, but they didnt, and I didn't ask again), remotes for AC and TV went out of battery.
General level of service is what you can get for the price you pay, I assume.

Great location! It’s on the center of the beach and the area was actually big. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. They have buffet breakfast which has a variety of food you can eat and they even cook omelette for you. They also have a nice pool near the restaurant and a bar along the beach area which offers happy hour with great discount on drinks’ price.

I have few concerns about the room where the airconditioning set up which was pretty messed up. It’s hard to tell which was the cooling and fan. Also the wifi can’t reach our room.

Great location, great hotel area, great swimming pool. Nice staff. Stayed at H15, was upgraded from the standard garden hut (A's). Thanks for that, Caroline).
What we didn't like:
5% charge for the credit card (instead of regular 3%)
No hand towels
No free water in the room (all other resorts offer 2 bottles for free)
No WiFi in the rooms (it was written on the web-site, though it would be nice if the hotel management made WiFi available everywhere)
