Lipa Bay Resort

I can only rate the restaurant. We didn't go to the hotel. Service very unfriendly, not a word. No thanks - absolutely nothing. Totally untypical for Thailand.the second star is only for the sea view. The food itself was so-so-ala. I've eaten many times better in Thailand.

It's like going to the favelas.
Dirty, not cared for, full of strangers' hair, the pillow smelled like tuff and the power and water went out for 24 hours.we were dying of heat.
The 3 toothless fat women in reception joke and laugh at the problems posed.

Frankly go your way no interest, hard bed, poorly cleaned room, moreover you are asked for a deposit (300b) for the key to your room. Location not terrible.

Room is ok nothing special
The location is very nice
The service is underground, the breakfast comes burnt, the tables are sticky and the staff talks openly about you

ACHTUNG: dies ist eine Rezension für das Lipa Bay Resort. Manche Bilder/Rezensionen hier sind die vom Lipa Bay Residence etwas weiter nördlich gelegen.
Sehr nette kleine Anlage bestehend aus ca. 8 großen und sehr gut ausgestatteten Bungalows sowie Zimmern im Hauptgebäude. Das Zimmer und Bad waren sehr sauber. Freundliches Personal, das leider kaum englisch spricht. Taxiservice wird angeboten und haben wir auch genutzt. Der Pool direkt am Meer war sehr schön.
Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe zum Lipa Pier weshalb wir es auch als Zwischenstopp für eine Nacht gebucht haben. Das je nach Buchung inkludierte oder separat zu zahlende (200 Bath/Person) ist nicht sehr gut, erfüllt aber seinen Zweck. Leider ist das Hotel weit weg (ca. 1 km) von anderen Essens-/Einkaufsmöglichkeiten so dass man weiter laufen oder Taxi nehmen muss.
Für uns als Familie war es für einen Zwischenstopp okay.

We were supposed to stay in the garden villa over a week, when we arrived, inside the villa were huge holes in the ceiling which were taped over, the bathroom door has lock from the outside and not inside in the bathroom. Bathroom has no windows and is completely open to the nature, you will find frogs, cockroaches and some tourists had a snakes in their bedroom. Good luck with that. The staff was very nice tho, they refunded us for the nights which we didn't stay in. As much as it is lovely and traditional place to stay in, if you don't want anything to crawl into your bed in the middle of the night, it is better to skip this place.

We went there and ate and drank. What we got was good. The service was extremely slow, but the sunset was all the more beautiful.

Very nice small area consisting of about 8 large and very well equipped bungalows and rooms in the main building. The room and bathroom were very clean. Friendly staff, who unfortunately hardly speaks English. Taxi service is offered and we also used it. The oceanfront pool was very nice.
The hotel is close to Lipa Pier which is why we booked it as a one night stopover. The included or separately paid depending on the booking (200 bath/person) is not very good, but serves its purpose. Unfortunately, the hotel is far away (about 1 km) from other places to eat/shopping, so you have to walk further or take a taxi.
For us as a family it was okay for a stopover.

If you want relaxing and quite holidays this place is perfect. Resort is located next to (for my taste) most beautiful beach on Koh Samui. Water and beach are really clean, its got really cool swimming pool from where u can stare at the sea. Staff is really friendly, and delicious breakfast was included in the price. And perfect to watch sunsets.

We stayed there in 2 houses with the family and really enjoyed our stay!
The breakfast has some space for improvement but the location is very nice at the calm lipa bay beach.
The rooms are nice and clean.
The pool is good to keep the kids busy

Right in the middle of all the action at Chewang Beach.but a little too close. We were in the hotel part not the Bungalows so we were closer to the main road. At night all you could hear was the music from the bars. Cheap accomodations. Nice pool, clean room, friendly staff, breakfast buffet was above average and right on the beach.

If i were to stay here again i would go for the Bungalows as opposed to the hotel section

The lovely staff at Lipa Bay helped me today when I was stressing over a taxi. I wasnt actually staying in Lipa Bay but was meant to be collected outside. Pao spent ages helping me by calling different phone numbers and all the staff were very warm and friendly. So they get 5 stars from me! Plus it is located on a lush beach:)

We did not like our stay. The restaurant was not opend as promised, at breakfast we got reused butter and jam. When in need of transport the communication with the staff was dificult and the prices verry high.

The water in the bathroom went from icecold to super hot.

We ended up leaving disapointed.

Positive points are the large beds and the super sweet nightgard who drove us to the supermarkt to get some food whilz everything was closed.

The hotel rooms are normal. The garden is so beautiful! Its full of frogs and other animals. The pool is nice. The sea in front is calm but water isnt the best. Breakfast could be better, little choices, altough everything is fresh made at the moment.
The location is not so good, nothing to do nearby. Its good as a transition hotel, you arrive to nathon pier late, and you depart from the pier again in the morning

Ich war in einer Villa mit Gartenblick untergebracht. Für mich genau das Richtige mit Meeresrauschen und vielen Tiergeräuschen.
Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Anlage sehr sauber! Und direkt am Meer, was will man da noch mehr?
Trotz Regen in den letzten Tagen habe ich meinen Aufenthalt sehr genossen.
Ich komme gerne wieder!

Room shower is not working properly.

I forgot my charging adapter also here and I called them to return it also but no positive feedback.

This may sound picky but the rain falling on that thin roof made sleeping really hard. I have been here during monsoon season and that hasn’t stopped me from sleeping one night. But this drumming was extreme.

Koh Samui is heaven on earth, the place is right on the beach, with infinity pool, beautiful cottages, great people.
