La Bombona Diving

We loved diving with La Bombona! We had no diving experience and our instructor Ernesto did an incredible joy teaching us and making sure we were safe and comfortable. It was an amazing experience and we got to see so many colorful fish and marine life! Super fun! Definitely recommend if you are visiting Koh Toa. #WeloveErnesto

I had the best time completing my open water course with Brennan, he made it very enjoyable and easy to learn, he was very patient and takes his time to make sure each individual is comfortable and happy. I hope to come back and carry on with further courses soon

Had an amazing time getting my open water 20 certificate. Ernesto and Brennan made sure everyone in our group was comfortable at all times. Would have done my advanced here as well if I had the time. I can only recommend getting certified here.

The best diving school on the island. Teachers are not only excellent professionals but also human beings. I planned to do only 1 day of diving and I ended up doing 2 days because LBD organized an outing to Sailor Rock and I was very fortunate to have 1 of the spots. Alejandra was my instructor, she was attentive to me the entire time, she helped me buy and purchase a good mask for my diving and masking.

My partner and I already had the Open Water and we were looking for a place to do fun diving.
We found this place and Rocío convinced us to take the Expert30 course.
We can only thank you for convincing us. The school atmosphere is great, teacher Roberto a 10! He was super attentive and very fun.
We did 5 dives in 5 incredible places!
The truth is that while you learn, you are amazed by what you see!

I did my beginner Diver license Open water 20 with Elena, who is an amazing Diving teacher! The whole vibe of this diving school catched me immediately and it was super fun. I even like it that much, that I did in addition the Explorer 30 course with Kathy, who is also an incredible diving teacher! They were so passionate about everything, the teaching, coaching and diving. In my Opinion a perfect diving school with these teachers and also the super funny receptionists:)

Did my OW20 course with them was just an amazing experience. Everything was just perfect from the start to end. Ponxi was my instructor and I couldn’t have asked for anyone better. He kept calm and answered all our queries and assisted calmly whenever I panicked. Thank you for the experience and will be back soon for sure.

Horrible just horrible. I had the unfortunate luck of the draw to get Camilla, I'm at a loss for words.

All kidding aside, what I really feel is.
I have never met a more passionate, understanding, kind and professional bunch of ppl. I went to get my OW20 but ended up with a trial dive. Due to me having Aspergers and ADHD, which is basically antisocial autism. I get both mentally and physically exhausted just by being around ppl.
But upon telling this to these wonderful ppl, they were willing to lay up the course so that I can get in my resting days. All for making me and my experience of diving as good as it can be.
That meant the world to me.

Doing the open water 20 with LBD was great experience. I was very anxious about diving but Jill was an amazing instructor who was extremely patient and able to give me just the right amount of pressure to push myself to do all the skills. 10/10 could not have ahead a better experience

I was here for the Open Water 20 certification and our instructor was Gus Rae - the best thing that could happen to us. He was the most patient and competend person i could have imagined to teach us the world around diving in the ocean! Whenever we panicked (which we did a lot) he always made sure that whatever happens he is there and won‘t allow anything to happen to us. We felt the competence and safety from his presence all the time - even at 18 meter depth in the ocean!
One, if not the best decision i have ever made to go with LBD and Gus as my diving school/diving instructor!

Acknowledgment where due, cool dive school and was initially a good vibe. The dive instructors were awesome (namely Katie + Ben) were absolutely incredible. It was my partner’s first time and she was nervous but Katie and Ben made it such an enjoyable experience for her, so thank you both.

Now, onto the part of this review that sadly ruined the experience for me. I had agreed to dive the following day with them, as they told me they already had a dive scheduled and it would be fine to tag along. 2 hours after agreeing, we come to find out visibility was poor and I no longer wanted to join so swiftly cancelled my dive with the owner of the dive school.

I completely understand they had made arrangements for my attendance, and I would have been happy to compensate for that, however instead of explaining this she kicked off into a tantrum raising her voice at us making us feel very uncomfortable. I told her I’m not here to argue with her and I left her mumbling away to herself under her breath.

Sadly the latter ruined our experience with this dive school. We are visiting Koh Tao again soon and have decided not to dive with this dive school.

So happy I picked this place for the open water 20 course

Hands down the best diving school on Koh Tao with a great location on Sairee Beach.

I could not fault LBD diving, I went from a person who had never worn flippers in their life to completing their open water 20, and had an amazing time doing it. Our instructor Quim had the most extreme patience with me and calmed me down when I was unable to equalise, I came from being unable to go down into the dive to diving the deepest distance in our group. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, the group size was perfect (their were three in our group), when in the academic portion while there is a lot we need to learn, there was also an emphasis on the elements that were crucial and developed if you had any question. Had I know how amazing the experience was I would have stayed to complete the advanced diving straight away but unfortunately I already had flights booked.

I did advanced course and fun dive here and it was great choice to do my course with LBD! They are very professional and super kind people no matter who you are.
If i have to dive in koh tao i will definitely comeback here

Did a refresher. The dive master James was very good. He factored in safety and fun. We saw two shark, a ray, and a lot of NEW coral.
I'd like to go back for me Advanced Diver class.

I’m so so glad I chose to go with LBD to complete my open water course. From the second I arrived I felt so welcomed. It’s a super chill space, such a fun team of instructors, and I felt safe and supported through the whole thing. Really couldn’t ask for anything more. Thank you!
