KP Travel & Motorbike rentals

Would really recommend this place, I had a little fall off my bike and the scratch insurance covered most of damage. They were also just very kind to me and wanted to make sure I was ok.

Rented a motorbike from KP travel for a month while staying on Koh Tao. Couldn’t fault the experience one bit. We were asked to bring the bike in after two weeks for a little service which was great. No charge for minor scratches and no need to leave a passport, just a cash deposit which we received in full upon returning the bike. This is where we will hire again from in the future. Thanks heaps guys!

Way too expensive. 300 Baht for 1 scooter (although with insurance but you can find at least 2 other rentals that are 200 Baht with insurance!
Still 2 stars because of the location (in the middle of town)

Stay away from this place! The owner is very rude and unpolite.

I booked a snorkeling tour with him and when the pick up came, the car was full and they didn’t have space for me. He told me it was my fault, while I arrived 10 minutes before the pick up time. We engaged in a discussion and he said “Stop talking to me! ”
He was very aggressive and I was about to call the police.

Finally, motorbike prices are higher than any other place in the island so it’s not worthed.

Really good bike rental service, I rented here 2 weeks ago when I was on the island. You need a bike if you want to go anywhere on Koh Tao, so make sure you use this place.

If you are like me you will be skeptical of all the reviews and think the owner asks people to write them but it is not true. Scratch insurance is included in the price and you can leave 3000 baht deposit + drivers license instead of passport which is a bonus.

As always with bikes in Thailand take as many before pictures / videos to ensure you don’t get changed for any pre-existing g damage. The owner encourages your to take lots of photos and videos and that’s a sign of a genuine owner.

I had an early ferry to catch so needed to return the bike early but at 9pm so I could go and watch the sunset at Secret Bar, the owner was cool with this and he was still grafting at 9pm when I got there!

Excellent service where the young owner took the time to explain the conditions and also recommend us to take pictures of the moped ourselves. This young man was very proud of his company and also told us about his background. We like young entrepreneurial spirit

If you’re looking to rent scooters on Koh Tao, go to KP. He’s a straight talking, honest guy, super professional and his prices and policies are very transparent.

Quick and efficient rental of a well maintained scooter. Left a 3000THB deposit instead of passport. Bike ran well and everything worked. Brakes were good tires were good. Would rent from again, located very close to Ban's Resort reception for easy pick up and drop off.

Bob was friendly at the end and shared his story with us. The safety of his customers is his first priority. Treat his bikes with respect.

Super happy, fast and easy way to rent a bike! It’s on the pricier side with 300 bath per day but a scratch insurance is included, as a deposit you can either leave 3000 bath in cash or your passport/ID. Because of the rain I returned the bike a bit earlier and even got some of my money refunded! 10/10 would recommend this place!

We’ve rented from Bob twice now and will continue to in the future. Every time we rode by if he wasn’t busy doing paperwork for a rental, he was doing maintenance on the machines. They have always been top notch, ran beautifully, and the brakes, shocks, and tires were in good order. If you’ve rented in SE Asia before, you know that is not always the case. The process is really easy and the bikes are insured against minor scratches and things that can happen when riding in the sand. All that and Bob is just a really interesting person to talk to. Strongly recommend!

One of the best bike rentals I’ve experienced in Thailand. Bikes are new and in good condition - all reasonably priced.

Great that they accepted cash deposits and the bikes they rent out are really well maintained compared to other places I’ve rented bikes from around Thailand. Super easy process!

They were very helpful and professional. The health and safety instructions were very thorough and that made us feel like they care a lot. The snorkeling gear that we rented was super good quality. Would recommend renting from them!

Nice bikes but not friendly. They ask a premium price but are not willing to really help or so. Even though the insurance concept is nice for people that are afraid of scratches.

Totally worth recommending! They give you insurance, so they won't charge you for any scratches, only if you break or bend something. We got the cheaper one for 300bth/day, it already had some scratches. They took photos, so did we, took one passport as a deposit, gave us 2 helmets and that was it. The motorbike worked well, it was able to get us up very steep roads and we got enough fuel to drive around the island without a need to fill a tank. There were no problems while giving it back. Would rent again!

I would not recommend this place to any traveler. I rarely leave poor reviews but KP motorbike bike rental was zero help. He seemed to be annoyed of my presence from the moment I walked up and wouldn’t even put down his game to talk to me. I was there to give him my money and business and he chose to give me attitude and ignore me instead. It’s important to do your own due diligence and ensure you’re giving your money to a business with your best interest in mind.

Best place to rent, very friendly and helpful employees. Had absolutely no problems, would definitely come here again.
