Khun Si Waterfall reviews
29Nothing too great. Passable source of water. Go when it has freshly rained otherwise it’s not worth it.
Beautiful waterfall that not many people visit, I met a few people on the way, but was completely alone at the waterfall itself.relating to.the directions, Google recommended that you take the road to the left, but follow the signs to the waterfall on the right.
If you drive yourself and live in Chaweng, then you should not take the direct route up the mountain, the road becomes very dangerous halfway, better to drive the longer route from the north or south.
If I could give -1000 rating, I would. It was absolutely a waste of time to go there because the road is really bad and we had to walk downhill for like 15-20 minutes to find a river with almost no water. So no waterfall. What a trap! Horrible experience and if you are not a great motorbike rider, it can be dangerous in most part to get there
The waterfall has dried up due to the lack of rain, and even during the rains the waterfall is so-so, small with several rapids, the road to it is not very good, I don’t recommend driving and the views are also mediocre.
The cool waters provided sweet relief from the scorching heat. Nature's serenity and soothing sounds make it a great escape. Accessibility is a bit challenging, but the refreshing dip is worth it. The natural setting is picturesque, offering a serene ambiance. However, the site's size limits activities.
Excellent place, you can swim and enjoy some shop to drink and eat, I highly recommend visiting this area
Don’t go in the hot season: khun Si means “Can’t See” - because there’s no water!
The view is great though!
I have no doubt that this waterfall is beautiful in the rainy season. It is not spring fed so it was hardly a trickle when I visited.
The waterfall is a trickle this time
Of the year. There was one pool that had neck deep water. The water was nice and cool for the hot weather. The hike is steep but short. Decent amount of parking. 2-4 hrs experience.
Very nice as it is not crowded and not touristic. Thai people please keep this place as natural and beautiful as it is now
Great little waterfall with a couple good places to go for a dunk
The path down is steep, so be prepared to sweat!
We rode there by scooter but decided to walk last 3km - bad idea. Lots of aggressive DOGS barking at us. Fortunately, most stayed off the road but definitely not a pleasant experience for walkers. Scary.
One of the more secluded waterfall locations on Koh Samui but we'll worth the effort to go there.
Reasonably steep climb down, and back out, means it is better for people without disabilities. The last part down to the falls has concrete steps which makes it somewhat easier going down.
You will be rewarded with some beautiful scenery and instagram worthy backdrops for your efforts.
The walk/ climb out will no doubt take you twice as long but you can enjoy a cold drink at the hilltop as a reward.
I will be posting a video including drone footage on away 4k (mostly motorcycle channel), on YouTube, so stay tuned for that
Nice small waterfall located nearby the "shortcut to maenam/lamai" road. The road to it isn't too bad but most of it isn't paved. Nice sightings and cool place to relax. I particularly liked the viewpoint where you can get refreshments (water 20baht, beer can 60 baht). The way to the waterfall is a nice 5 minutes nature walk downhill.
Check with the locals before you go and make sure that there is water! It was completely dry when we went.
We wanted to go here to avoid to many other tourists. It was perfect for that. Took the scooters here and parked on the top. A little 200-300 m and then a little waterfall. It was a little bumpy the rest of the way to the top with scooter but all worth it for a little half day trip.
Great find. Awesome little tree cafe nearby. Few people and had the waterfall all to ourselves to enjoy.
Great view and quiet piece of nature. Be noticed that you have to take about 15 minutes walk to reach the falls
I wasn't too crazy about this waterfall, the hike was really long and the waterfall was fair at best. There were also a LOT of bugs, which is expected, but it had a lot of flying bugs that didn't respond to bug spray. There was a really cool restaurant on the road into the falls that had amazing wonderful food.
Nice little place, harder to get to by scooter than most, so it’s quiet and tranquil. You can climb up higher to another pool but there’s a stark warning about going the other way. It’s a beautiful spot. Plenty of insects!
