John-Suwan Viewpoint

The No. 1 viewpoint on my favorite island if not one of the most beautiful in Thailand. Fantastic postcard motif or background image. Rich colors and breathtaking views over Koh Tao, Shark Bay and Chalok Bay. 50 baht entrance fee is absolutely reasonable.

Highly recommend visiting this viewpoint whilst in Koh Tao! The view is so beautiful and you get a birds-eye view over the island.

Entree fee is 50 Baht but that also gives you access to Freedom beach. But Freedom beach isn’t something we would recommend visiting. It is very crowded and small. Although, it is great for a little dip after you visited the viewpoint.

The viewpoint is about a 20 minute walk with a little climb which can be a little challenging at times. But there are ropes to go up on the rocks.

The effort is definitely worth it because the view is amazing. We were there around sunset and it was truly beautiful.

Don’t forget to bring some water and mosquito spray!

We paid 50 baht each to enter the area where the start of the viewpoint is. The walk is a short 15 minutes uphill climb, there are ropes for assistance. The view itself is incredible it’s virtually a 360 view of both sides of the bay. Definitely worth the money and the climb, I would highly recommend

It's the epic of our journey! As we didn't expected to go on hiking but at the end is worth it. (Not recommend for flipflops or slippers as it is go on hiking!)

So schön man kann mit flip flops rauf gehen, aber geschlossene schuhe wären besser.ca 15 min bis zum Aussichtspunkt.

Brilliant view point! Quite a few steep steps, but worth it. Takes about 10 mins from start of steps to reach top.

Good place if you like climbing stairs then rocks to find a view. Try not to go at the same time as everyone else from your boat as it gets very crowded. Last set of rocks is quite challenging and there is no path so don't bring small children or luggage. Also make sure you have sprayed insect repellent on yourself.

Personally I think my time would've been better spent staying on the beach and snorkelling for longer! But that's just personal choice.

Great adventurous! 50 baht each to go in. Wear good shoes because we need to use robe sometime. It took 15-20 mins to go up there! Amazing view! When you come down check out freedom beach! Beautiful fish and creatures at the beach! You can snorkeling by renting 50 baht from the bar and rent kayak 100 baht.

Great view. Just be prepared to climb to the top as it’s not paved. But the way is clearly marked and makes for a great view

Beautiful view over the two bays. A slightly hike and only the last part is hard as you have to pull yourself up the rocks but tge view is so beautiful. 50brt entrance to the area but this also includes freedom beach

I only see foreigners complaining about the price and bad side. But Thai people agree to pay and do not negotiate anything.because Thai people understand each other that it is a business Everyone on island survived because of the tourists ต๊าซซซซซ

15 นาที ปีนขึ้น ไม่ยาก ลำบากเกินกว่าความน่าสนใจ ที่นักท่องเที่ยวโพสต์ดึงดูด แต่ถ้าท่านใดผ่าน วายนาปิชู มาแล้ว สุด ๆ ของวายนาปิชู สนุกกว่านี้ค่ะ ที่นี่ทางเดินเป็นกรวด เลยลื่น ๆ บ้าง ต้องใช้เชือกพยุง วิวด้านบนไม่เท่าไร แต่บรรยากาศดีมาก ลมไม่แรงขนาดจะคุมโดรนไม่ได้ ระหว่างทางมีต้นไม้ เกือบตลอดทางไปตอนไหนก็ได้ ขออย่างเดียว อย่าให้คนเยอะ จะพลาดรูปที่อยากถ่ายสบาย ๆ (ที่ Cape shark pool vila มีบริการไปส่ง รับ ฟรี)

เหตุผลที่มาเกาะเต่าก็เพราะเห็นรูปจากวิวนี้ หลังจากได้มาเองก็รู้สึกเฉยๆไม่ใช่ไม่สวย แต่ไปที่ Tanote กับ West สวยกว่ามาก วิวอลังการงานสร้างของจริง อีกทั้งได้เดินป่าด้วยสนุกมาก ถึงอย่างนั้นที่นี่ก็ไม่ได้แย่สวยเหมือนกันแค่ที่นุ่นมันแจ่มจริง

Entrance fee 50THB per person.not worth. Entire islands, all beaches and viewpoint need entrance. Ridiculous

ค่าขึ้นชม 50฿ ค่ามะพร้าวหลังขึ้นชมถ้าเหนื่อยอยากทาน 40฿ จอห์นกับสุวรรณ เป็นคนที่เค้าว่ามาค้นพบจุดชมวิวนี้ เลยตั้งชื่อตามคนพบ ทางขึ้นอยู่มนที่ดินของเอกชนที่ครอบครองทำกิน เลยต้องเสียค่าขึ้นชม ทางขึ้นแคบ พยายามเหยียบบนหิน ซึ่งเป็นหินแกรนิตจะไม่ลื่น เหยียบดินมันจะเป็นกรวดเล็กๆกลมๆลื่นดี ระวังกิ่งไม่บาดขา ขึ้นไปแล้วก็อย่าลืมเก็บหมวกเก็บของกันลงมา ไม่งั้นจะคุ้มค่าขึ้น (ได้ขึ้นหลายรอบ) วิวดี เห็นทะเลสองฝั่ง พยายามขึ้นช้าๆ ไม่ให้เสียกล้ามเนื้อรับรองไม่เหนื่อย

Not easy climbing to the view point and definitely not for family. Panoramic scene is beautiful but just like other photo in the internet.

Walking/climbing up is a bit challenge but the sunset view is stuning.

First of all, this is not the same place as Suwsn-360 as I see from some photos in the reviews; Although three two places are pretty close.
To get to the view point is a 15-20 minutes walk (maybe more appropriately described as "hike") from the entrance point. There are ropes all along the way to make it a bit easy to climb. There was an entrance charge of 50 Baht/person.
At the top you'll have the view of the ocean as far as you can. It was absolutely amazing for me as they describe it the whole way. ;)
Take water/snacks with you if you think you'll need them.

10 of 10! Climbed up sharp rocks with old boat rope, the trek is of fairly mediocre level but you might get stuck into the rocks on the way and might be against the heat and humidity! But I guarantee you won’t be disappointed with the 360 degree stunning view! This uphill trail surrounded by jungle, panoramic mountain and bay views. Gorgeous!
